Let the Circus Begin

By Patrick Van Roy On November 12th, 2019

Wednesday the Kangaroo Court begins. So far Adam Schiff has not approved of a single witness the Republicans have put forth.

Let that sink in….. sorry your not allowed to present any witnesses for the defense. If I was running the Republicans team I would stand call each of my witnesses before the camera’s and as the Democrats object I’d walk out. Let them hold their clown show on their own, but no their’s no spine for that kind of grandstanding.

Instead they are going to play along and try to make a case in cross examination. I doubt if Schiff will instruct witnesses not to answer on national tv, but none of that matters. The verdict in this sham has been decided, they will impeach. The charges should be interesting but those don’t matter just like guilt or innocence doesn’t matter. A Guilty Verdict there will be short and swift.

Now remember Trump did a Quid Pro Quo, Extortion, Bribery even……

“You do this or you don’t get the Money”

  1. The impeachment inquiry will be broadcast on several channels. It will become clear that this administration has acted for personal interest and not for the national interest. It will also become clear how sloppy and incompetent this administration has been. It will leave a lasting impression on many people and it is too early to predict what effect it will have on them.

  2. Gallup has some interesting numbers to crunch when you compare the impeachment of Nixon and Clinton to Trump.
Only 19% of American Citizens approved Nixon’s impeachment but that rose to 58% as the hearings went on.
Clinton’s impeachment remained around 38% throughout
But Trump is already at 52% before a word is spoken.
The key factor is how much the percentage of the number of republicans rises as the hearings proceed.

You can be sure all those calling this a kangaroo court will be watching all of it

    https://news.gallup.com/poll/267491/congress-approval-support-impeaching-trump.aspx

  3. NYr so you believe this show trial will cause enough damage to Trump that the People who support him will turn on him ?

  4. Patyou claim not to be a Hannity parrot but let’s just say “Polly wants a cracker”

  5. PaTroll

    Emailed you last night.

  6. Are you suggesting that there won’t be one Republican chosen witness called to give testimony at all in the hearings?

  7. PVR

“NYr so you believe this show trial will cause enough damage to Trump that the People who support him will turn on him ?” I said above: “it is too early to predict what effect it will have on them.”

  8. The Trumpy base doesn’t care what he did

    They won’t read any reports

They’re supporting him no matter what

  9. not one at this point Paul has been “APPROVED”…….

and Phantom this circus isn’t playing to just the Trump base. This is playing to everyone. 30% of the will vote R and the same exact amount will vote D no matter what, but that leaves the other 40% to decide.

The Dems are firing their shock and awe. The next two weeks are going to be nothing but story after story of how satan sits in the White House.

The Dems and the press will do their best to paint Trump as the worst thing to ever happen to the country.

Then the President gets to counter punch.

  10. Seimi I’m not at home I’ll check my mail soon

  11. The Circus has existed since Trump was sworn in. He’s been a national embarrassment to those capable of such an emotion.

  12. yeah but that’s a circus chosen by the people Mahons.

This is an attempted coup. To remove a duly elected President and they don’t have a crime.

  13. Seimi I got no new mail resend

  14. It is not a coup. Congress is acting within its Constitutional authority and in case you missed it they were duly elected as well. No crime is needed for an impeachment, although I would not be so quick to suggest there was no crime.

  15. In any event a compliant Republican majority in the Senate will almost certainly not vote against the President.

  16. Congress is not following the constitution.

As for the Senate I’m glad you trust them to behave that way I don’t.

No the counter punch won’t be the Senate it will be the indictments.

Fantasy will be destroyed when real crimes start being prosecuted.

  17. Some PBS stations will be showing the hearings live (WLIW in New York) and I assume the cable news channels as well.

  18. oh all of them I’m sure…. I’ll watch on cspan where there will be no commentary just the raw feed.

  19. Congress is within its authority to take every one of the steps it has taken. If it had exceeded the authority granted by the Constitution I assure you the Administration would have already gone to the Courts.
I see no evidence that the Republicans in the Senate will gain the political courage to vote against the President.
As for the fantasy diversions, they will remain fantasy.

  20. You may watch on Cspan, but you’ll get your opinion from Limbaugh.

  21. Mahons they are impeaching a President because they lost an election and their crimes are going to be made public.

They banked everything on Mueller to find a crime, but he didn’t. This is hail mary pass. Except it’s to late.

Sure they’re going to damage the Presidency, but it won’t stop the crimes of the previous administration from being exposed. This is the death throws of the Obama Legacy.

  22. PVR

So you find nothing at all wrong with the repeated contacts with Russian intelligence operatives, where they colluded in election matters

You are perfectly OK with all of that.

  23. This video means nothing.

If it was evidence of any corruption, do you think that Biden would say it in front of TV cameras and witnesses?

  24. Err Pat they’re impeaching the president beacause he was caught in an extortion racket .those on on it like Rudy Pompeo Barr moved against the ones who did not want to be part of the drug deal like Bolton Hill and those who testified.
If anything this was a split amongst Trump employees. The crooked Vs the straight

  25. kurt

Prepare for many distractions from the Fake News Brigade

  26. oh and you are right I definitely will get Rush’s view on all this.

Whose analysis besides your own will you be listening to ?

Mine will be Limbaugh, Levin and others.

So you find nothing at all wrong with the repeated contacts with Russian intelligence operatives, where they colluded in election matters

You are perfectly OK with all of that.

Phantom you really don’t see it yet.

The Only people that colluded with Russians was the Hillary campaign. All the contacts that were made with the Trump campaign were set up by Obama, Brennan, and Clapper.

What are you going to say when they indict the 4 stooges ? Yates, Comey, Rosenstein, and McCabe committed perjury before a FISA Judge.

  28. Not correct.

    https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-campaign-russia-government-contact-timeline-2018-7#march-14-2016-trump-campaign-foreign-policy-adviser-george-papadopoulos-first-meets-with-joseph-mifsud-in-italy-3

  29. This whole impeachment is the distraction and their last shot to deflect some of the damage that’s coming.

    Enjoy your two weeks.

  30. Patrick – Trump acted on his own as to the Ukraine. It had nothing to do with the Dems. There is no credible basis for suggesting othwerwise.
Listing Limbaugh and Levine is the intellectual equivalent of relying on The View.

  31. Patrick

So you deny that there were multiple Trump operative meetings with Russian intelligence operatives, or you actually condone those meetings.

  32. Phantom that was all set up by Obama…… your world is about to crumble…. ah so sad.

Enjoy the next two three weeks, as soon as Horowitz, Durham, and Barr start none of this will matter.

Oh it will still be flogged, but the horse died when Mueller delivered nothing.

  33. Wow mahons GOP have spun a web here with the fantasy stuff weaving all the parts together Inc timelines from 2016
It’s a perfect web I’ll give them that much

  34. Patrick – what will be your story when your claims don’t pan out. Will you tell us it was a Deep State Conspiracy?

  35. Why did your president have his flunkies attend the meetings, or sometimes traveling considerable distances to have the meetings?

The Seychelles is quite a distance away.

Why did your president have his flunkies attend the meetings, or sometimes traveling considerable distances to have the meetings?

The Seychelles is quite a distance away.

    Why not ?

Phantom you don’t seem to have gotten the memo. Collusion died with Mueller the report fatally wounded it and Mueller’s testimony gave it the death blow. Not even the Dems are beating that horse.

  38. Not one at this point Paul has been “APPROVED”…….

So why are you making allegations at this point when the witness selection process obviously hasn’t been completed?

  39. So they flew all the way to the Seychelles to take a meeting with Russians.

And you are fine with that.

  40. The usual suspects are fine with collusion meetings with Russians just so long as no one was convicted.

And if someone was convicted that would be ” Obama’s fault “

  41. Because I have not been in my cocoon today….. no news input.

Schiff might allow one or two before tomorrow, but as of now he has said no.

and if I make the claim and at the last moment he approves one or two….

It doesn’t matter, what you refuse to acknowledge is the wrongness of the situation. You however are not the american public. What they think is the only thing that counts.

  42. Phantom has all these major concerns about a meeting that 29 Democrat Lawyers looking to convict poured over and could find nothing.

Ahh but he knows better…. lmao

This is going to get fun.

  43. So you’re fine with the collusion, so long as no one was charged.

    Collusion’s cool now.

    And nothing means anything.

  44. About 50% of the public want him impeached and removed.

Looking to the public is the worst possible approach for the dead enders

  45. Some information on why the US left the Kurds get slaughtered from the NY Times:

    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/12/us/politics/trump-erdogan-family-turkey.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage

  46. Yep

The Trumpy swamp that Erodogan is part of

    Rats everywhere

  47. There was no collusion…… you really want to die on that hill don’t you.

Mueller found no collusion they found nothing Phantom. You see this is one of those situations my friend. You see there is a difference between spin and reality. The reality is they found nothing, they have nothing now.

Unlike you I was willing to accept the Mueller results. You’ve shown you like the rest of the TDS drones just can’t.

No Collusion….. No Obstruction……. but you will get your impeachment of that you can guarantee, it just won’t matter.

  48. So they met the Russians only to talk about the weather and the price of vodka in St Petersberg.

  49. The items that Mueller was investigating are not the same as those which the House is investigating. And those calling Trump’s behavior are not exclusively those who objected to a Trump presidency. And the facts comprising the House investigation are not factually disputed by the Trump Administration.

  50. Re-sent

  51. no they are not disputed Mahons….. they are called foreign diplomacy.

Play the clip above listen to what Biden says….. “if you don’t believe me call Barack he’ll tell ya” Biden had Obama’s permission to hold that money, so Biden holding it was not a crime, a bribe, extortion or blackmail. It was American Foreign Diplomacy in Action….

You do as we say or what we want and we’ll give you aid. That is how we have always conducted Foreign Diplomacy.

Bidens has no problem with the above because he was acting with the Presidents authority and if a President tells a foreign country if you don’t stand on your head and spit wooden nickels you don’t get the aid…. well that person or that country damn well will stand on their head and spit wooden nickels. It’s our money, food, or bullets none of it is free.

  52. I’ll check Seimi

  53. I thought that you guys were saying that Biden couldn’t say that without written authority

    You’ve changed your talking points

I thought that you guys were saying that Biden couldn’t say that without written authority

    You’ve changed your talking points

you have to slow down and read Phantom. I’ve said from day one that if Biden had written authority then he did nothing wrong.

I’ve been very careful with what I’ve said. The above is only a problem if Joe did it on his own. That has been my line from the beginning.

Biden’s problem is his son and the bribery.

  56. He probably didn’t have written authority and it is ridiculous to think that Obama would have gone to the trouble of written a permission slip for Biden to negotiate those things.

  57. That’s the way it’s done Phantom….. everything is documented. It’s the Law.

  58. You’re making this up.

  59. Because I have not been in my cocoon today….. no news input.

Schiff might allow one or two before tomorrow, but as of now he has said no.

and if I make the claim and at the last moment he approves one or two….

Okay the let’s wait and see what transpires before jumping the gun? For my money I’ll bet that the Republicans will have their witnesses directly related to the case giving testimony without any impediment whatsoever.

It doesn’t matter, what you refuse to acknowledge is the wrongness of the situation. You however are not the american public. What they think is the only thing that counts.

There is no ‘wrongness’ Pat, every faux objection you have raised has been batted out of the park. However, if you think that my opinion is worthless because I’m not a Yank you should have just came out and said so.

As for the American public, if you’re putting your confidence in what the US public think of Trump from the various sources and outlets I read you’re going to be very disappointed.

Biden’s problem is his son and the bribery

Glad to see you rowing back on the blackmail nonsense however Biden Jr isn’t a problem whatsoever for Biden Snr and there was no ‘bribery’.

  60. lol no I’m not…..

Federal Records Act exists exactly for this. Forms and paperwork are generated automatically. Biden was the point man on Ukraine for these negotiations. He had to have written authority. The only thing Biden did wrong above was provide bad optics for people to exploit, he quite good at verbal gaffs. His ego provided this one.

What he did was legal and documented, it just doesn’t look good.

  61. It has never been practice that all negotiations had to be memorialized in writing before the negotiation even happened.

    The concept is ridiculous

    Nothing would ever get done

  62. no it’s the Law and it was purposefully set up to be that way. There are records of everything.

  63. Records of what has happened, not records of what has not happened yet

  64. The permission to negotiate would have been written before hand. If it’s not there then uncle Joe does have a problem, but I highly doubt that it doesn’t exist.

  65. Jeff Tiedrich
Trump, you sweaty imbecile. you could have lived quietly in the shadows and laundered Russian mob money and fucked porn actresses to your heart’s content but you needed to be the center of attention and crimed right out in public and now your big stupid ass is getting impeached

  66. Pat hi
Schiff has just made it easy for you , he’s going for bribery
you asked for which law was broken , that’s the one BRIBERY

First, most people implicitly understand what bribery is, and that in a political context it’s very wrong. Second, it’s going to be fairly easy to make the case that Trump is guilty of bribery.

Donald Trump cut off $400 million in U.S. military aid to Ukraine, and then offered to give it back if Ukraine was willing to promote a phony scandal about Trump’s 2020 election rival.

    https://www.palmerreport.com/analysis/adam-schiff-just-laid-down-the-law/22889/

  67. But hey there’s hope for your side

Barr is planning to release the phony conspiracy nonsense during the trial
Palmer doesn’t think alot of that or the guys that follow this :

“Whatever Barr is planning, it won’t change a single mind when it comes to impeachment. It won’t help Trump one bit. All it’ll do is give the increasingly mentally compromised Trump the illusion that he’s winning, because the braindead lunatic now fully believes every one of these psychotic conspiracy theories. But back in the real world, Barr’s stunt will have no impact.”

    Ouch Pat !

  68. Donald Trump cut off $400 million in U.S. military aid to Ukraine, and then offered to give it back if Ukraine was willing to promote a phony scandal about Trump’s 2020 election rival.

That would be extortion if it was a crime, but that’s not what happened.

Kurt don’t worry their going to impeach and bribery may be the charge it more than likely will be only one thing they find him guilty of….. The more charges the better.

  69. That would be extortion if it was a crime, but that’s not what happened.

and we’re back to square one, clearly you’re referring to “the braindead lunacy belief in every one of these psychotic conspiracy theories”

Barr has form in letting you down:

Remember when he leaked that Andrew McCabe had been indicted? There was no indictment.

Remember when he leaked that he had launched a criminal inquiry into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe? After the pundits dry heaved about it for a day, it ended up going nowhere.

  70. L

  71. Barr is acting as Trumps personal Jacoby & Meyers lawyer

    The Constitution be damned

  72. Just the opposite Phantom.

Barr doesn’t give two sh**s about Trump and neither especially does Durham. The care about the Law following it and punishing those who abuse it.

You want to try to stones against Barr go right ahead there’s nothing to hit him with and Durham has done internal affairs crucifixions for both Republican and Democrat Administrations.

If they find nothing then nothing happened, if they find something something happened.

Just like Mueller if he had found something……….

  73. Barr lied about the Mueller Report before Congress.

    That is his legacy.

  74. no he did not……

you really have to stop smoking that stuff…..

  75. You know you attack Barr… You want to know why I know Barr is a man of honor ?

Bill Barr tried to protect Mueller. The Mueller Report could have been spun for this entire year if Mueller hadn’t testified. His testimony drove the stake into the heart of his own report.

The man was of diminished capacity, Barr offered to block his testimony to protect his reputation, Mueller turned him down.

If Barr was Trumps puppet he wouldn’t have tried to save him from the embarrassment. No your read of the man is wrong.

  76. I’ll say this, the next 3 days will be interesting and I’m going to hold my fire and just sit back and watch.

I leave it to Mahons and Phantom to post on the hearings.

  77. If trump had any honor he’d resign 27rt Nov and let the American people have their thanks giving in peace
Personally I think it was Rudy idea to set this up as trump is not capable of such an enterprise.
He got suckered by Rudy – sweet irony that the one who suckered everyone got suckered by a more devious con artist . A resignation would reset the whole thing maybe right the ship

  78. Here’s the Rep strategy for the hearings:

According to a memo circulating on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, the Republican strategy for defending Mr Trump during the public impeachment hearings is straightforward.

The president did not pressure Ukraine to investigate his political rivals, they will say. While US military assistance had been withheld, it was because Mr Trump had legitimate concerns about Ukrainian corruption. And in the end, that aid was released without the investigations in question being ordered.

When witnesses contradict these assertions or criticise the president or his subordinates – as many have done in their closed-door testimony – Republicans in the hearing will dismiss them as unelected bureaucrats whose views are shaped by policy disagreements or animosity.

Republicans may also try to undermine the credibility of the anonymous whistleblower who first flagged Mr Trump’s call with the Ukrainian president or argue that Mr Trump was right to ask that the Ukrainians investigate Democrat Joe Biden or his son Hunter, who served on the board of a Ukrainian energy company.

They could also ascribe any misconduct to the president’s subordinates or acknowledge that while the president’s actions were not ideal, they do not rise to an impeachable offense. That defence risks the ire of the man in the White House, however.

For Democrats to find success in these hearings they have to tell a cohesive story about presidential behaviour that merits impeachment and a Senate trial. Republicans simply have to poke holes in the narrative or garble it beyond recognition

    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-50395008

(The last point of garbling it beyond all recognition is specifically the reason Reps have to detail the relevance of the testimony of witnesses they wish to call to the hearings).

Just watch and see how many of these points are played out by ATW’s Trumpistas.

  79. it was because Mr Trump had legitimate concerns about Ukrainian corruption

soo funny paul, lets see how that flies , no-one is going to corroborate than

    photo of the day
someone found this of Rudy in a bar with his associates

    Priceless

    This video means nothing.

If it was evidence of any corruption, do you think that Biden would say it in front of TV cameras and witnesses?

Let’s just ask some simple questions such as
    1) is it true?

    https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/436816-joe-bidens-2020-ukrainian-nightmare-a-closed-probe-is-revived

Interviews with a half-dozen senior Ukrainian officials confirm Biden’s account, though they claim the pressure was applied over several months in late 2015 and early 2016, not just six hours of one dramatic day. Whatever the case, Poroshenko and Ukraine’s parliament obliged by ending Shokin’s tenure as prosecutor. Shokin was facing steep criticism in Ukraine, and among some U.S. officials, for not bringing enough corruption prosecutions when he was fired.

OK – it looks as though it’s true, although embellished by Biden who does have a high opinion of himself.

    2) why would it be true?

But Ukrainian officials tell me there was one crucial piece of information that Biden must have known but didn’t mention to his audience: The prosecutor he got fired was leading a wide-ranging corruption probe into the natural gas firm Burisma Holdings that employed Biden’s younger son, Hunter, as a board member.

U.S. banking records show Hunter Biden’s American-based firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC, received regular transfers into one of its accounts — usually more than $166,000 a month — from Burisma from spring 2014 through fall 2015, during a period when Vice President Biden was the main U.S. official dealing with Ukraine and its tense relations with Russia.

“But”, says Phantom authoritatively, “Hunter Biden is a Ukrainian-speaking oil expert whose knowledge and experience are essential to Burisma. His father being US-VP is nothing”.

Yes – one cannot argue with that

  81. Hunter Biden is a reformed druggie who got a sweet job despite having no qualifications at all.

Who was hired because of who his last name was.

A nobody, an empty suit, not much different than Jared and Ivanka.

  82. Joe Biden implemented the wishes of the US administration, the UK, the IMF, the EU & domestic Ukes.

What’s that got to do with Hunter Biden getting a cushy number?

  83. Hunter Biden should be compelled to testify. He should be cross examined harshly.

It would embarrass the Dems, but too bad.

Him getting that job was a disgrace, as was Joe Biden and Obama not trying to talk him out of it.

The Republican narrative is bullshit, but so is the fact that the Dems de-emphasize the shame of this complete nobody getting a sweet job in this fashion.

  84. What connection has Hunter Biden’s job got to Joe Biden implementing the policy wishes of the western world?

  85. Allegations have been made about Hunter Biden being involved in corrupt practices with Burisma.

Let him address them in public, under cross examination, with the bright lights shining on him.

  86. We agree that any allegation have been made against Biden Jr are a completely separate issue and absolutey nothing whatsoever to do with Biden Snr implementing the policy wishes of the western world?

  87. no

Biden’s job has nothing to do with implementing policy wishes of the western world……

He was the VP of The United States of America…. not the Western World.

  88. The US and EU were on the exact same page.

  89. He implemented the policy wishes of the US administration of the time which were the same as the UK, the IMF, the EU & domestic Ukes.

    Is your pedantry satiated?

  90. So We are part of the EU…… no sorry

Schiff just Lied from the dais, he said he did NOT know the name of the Whistle Blower…

The Judge/Jury just told everyone how honest this is.

  91. Pat’s confused.

    Enjoy the show.

  92. He implemented the policy wishes of the US administration of the time which were the same as the UK, the IMF, the EU & domestic Ukes

    Hope that helps.

  93. And the UK, Germany, France

  94. no

It is not our job to do the rest of the worlds bidding. I have a question… What policy Reason of the UK, the IMF, the EU & domestic Ukes was it to have the Prosecutor Fired ?

  95. And the UK, Germany, France

  96. It is not our job to do the rest of the worlds bidding

Perhaps yopu missed this although I suspect you’re being obtuse:

He implemented the policy wishes of the US administration of the time

What policy Reason of the UK, the IMF, the EU & domestic Ukes was it to have the Prosecutor Fired ?

I’ve explained why in detail a few times to you previously.
