Waiting for the knock on the door !

By Patrick Van Roy On December 3rd, 2019

Guest Post by Kurt….. sort of…..

The following is an article that Kurt asked me to post.  It comes from the Palmer Report, a site of anti-Trump writers. The article involves Giuliani who the anti-Trumper’s have convinced themselves that Rudy is going to Jail.  Now I’ve met Rudy a couple of times at Police functions I don’t know him, but I have several family members from NY that do. Rudy has the respect of the Finest Police Force in the World NYPD, he got that respect from his integrity and actions as both a Prosecutor and The Mayor. I believe those that accuse him of corruption are reaching for straws that just don’t exist. However in the name of fairness and balance here is the Article Kurt would like to discuss.  The picture is not the one he wanted me to post with the article, but that’s what happens when you don’t send me jpeg…..

Even as federal prosecutors continue to close in on Rudy Giuliani for the numerous felonies he committed during the course of Donald Trump’s Ukraine extortion scandal, Rudy has continued to insist that he was only doing it because Joe Biden’s (imaginary and thoroughly debunked) corruption in Ukraine simply had to be brought to light. No jury was going to buy that excuse anyway, but now it turns out even that excuse has been shattered.

At the time Rudy Giuliani was trying to pressure Ukraine’s then-top prosecutor Yuri Lutsenko into announcing a sham investigation into the Bidens, Rudy was also trying to pressure Lutsenko into personally paying him $200,000 in – ahem – legal fees. This startling yet not surprising revelation is coming by way of the Washington Post. It’s crucial because it’s the final nail that guarantees Rudy will never get out of prison.

If Rudy was hoping to convince a jury to give him some degree of leniency under the guise that he was simply misguidedly trying to help America by exposing corruption, that just went out the window. Instead, Rudy was corruptly trying to line his own pockets while he was corruptly trying to rig the 2020 election in Donald Trump’s favor. This is going to make things almost shockingly easy for Rudy’s trial jury.

We’ll see if Donald Trump decides to stick his neck out by trying to pardon Rudy Giuliani, which would trigger a court battle over whether a president can pardon his own alleged co-conspirators – and the outcome of that court ruling could end up costing Trump his ability to pardon his kids on his way out the door. But even if Rudy is pardoned on federal charges, there are surely New York State charges waiting for him.

  1. (Slightly O/T)

    Nasty, insulting & disrespectful

At last Don Don seems to be speaking on something he’s knowlegable on:

  2. Trump trashes NATO now he’s mad at Macron for trashing NATO.

This is what happens when you have a crackhead president.

  3. If there was any doubt that Trump is the ugliest, dumbest and most deranged leader of any country in the past half century, and that includes people like Idi Amin, just have a look at the “speech” below.

There are several here who would be among the brainless cheering him on like in some Orwellian hate orgy. It’s hard to take them seriously on anything after they’ve given their support to this certifiable lunatic.

He’s doing them Dems marketing people out of a job. For the next election they simply have to televise this and other outbursts across the US.

  4. His lying bullshit has made a fool of him yet again:

“When you’re dealing in trade, everything is on the table. So NHS or anything else.”

    – Trump, June 2019

“I don’t even know where that rumour started…If you handed it to us on a silver platter, we want nothing to do with it.”

    – Trump, December 2019

  5. America’s evangelicals get a tickle down their leg when they hear speeches like that.

They’ve kicked Christ to the curb, there’s a new messiah in town.

Trump could do anything in those speeches, the response would always be applause.

  6. American companies I believe would sell all sorts of things to the NHS right now.

But the UK organizes it’s own health care model, and they should never negotiate with the US or any other country about changing the NHS model as part of a trade deal.

  7. hi Pat, thanks for that posting
funny thing is this time I sent the photo as attachment
last time I sent the photo in tghe body of the mail
    Here it is any way
Next time I’ll add as attachment and put in the body of the mail ~
    lol here it is

    Rudy

Get into the substance later ..

Palmer is a group of like-minded people that send in posts, some from UK
They do alot of tying up up knots, whereas CNN and MSNBC in my view tend to post
running commentary of news , but you do get people who add things up
like Rachel Meadows, who will devote time to piece together timelines and the like

  8. Christ, Boris Johnson is getting more like Trump by the day. When I first saw this photo I thought it was the POTUS.

  10. I don’t know the publication, but there are enough traditional media outlets documenting Rudy’s problems.

  11. Rudy has the respect of the Finest Police Force in the World NYPD, he got that respect from his integrity and actions as both a Prosecutor and The Mayor.

So why has he trashed his integrity and reputation by political pimping for the lying pussy-grabber? Did he need the money that badly?

  12. but there are enough traditional media outlets documenting Rudy’s problems

there’s alot of grisle out there , mutton dresses as lamb
palmers lot are very focused , i only hope and pray the dems know what to do with the treasure trove they have , and it must be said gets bigger every day with golden nuggets often by the protagonists themselves. The law is being tested in a way I’ve never witnessed, maybe many of us haven’t seen such blasphemy for things which in old days are instant resigns; that’s why am paying close attention, what’s going on in WH screws with our minds daily
Its not good in any shape or form for anyone 🙁

  13. slowly slowly catchee monkey

House impeachment inquiry just dropped a bomb on Rudy Giuliani – and it’s terrible news for Donald Trump

When the House Intelligence Committee released its impeachment report today, it revealed that it has extensive phone records which show that Rudy Giuliani and the Trump White House were directly coordinating at essentially every step of the Ukraine extortion plot. Remarkably, the House obtained the phone records not from a witness, but from AT&T and Verizon

  14. Kurt, our entire political system is corrupt with foreign money and lobbyist meddling.

Clinton and the DNC are having a bad day on this story….

Key Mueller witness, major Clinton and Trump donor charged with funneling $3.5 million in illegal contributions in 2016 U.S. elections

Both sides indulge in the graft, turn a blind eye to bundles of cash and foreign interference in our elections, then whine to the skies about witch hunts when they get caught.

Funding of US political campaigning is in need of a major overhaul with a shit ton of bleach thrown on it.

Rudy will probably be indicted, colluding with Ukrainian/Russian oligarch connected mobsters to fix an election in Trump’s favor seems like a bad move.

  15. Money corruption is rife in both parties, at all levels.

We have the most corrupt president in America’s history talking about cleaning the swamp. No one in either party wants to drain any swamp

Democrats are right about the Republicans, and the Republicans are mostly right about the Democrats.

I personally think that foreign money is a fairly small part of the overall horror. It’s IMO mainly domestic, with machers and bundlers and tricksters who can funnel cash in a thousand different ways.

The source of the money Doesn’t always tell you very much. I know a conservative Republican businessman Who was asked by his major client to make a large contribution for former Democrat Senator Lautenberg . He hated to do it, but it did it, As he did not want to lose the business

    This happens every day.

  17. Rudy was Mayor a long time ago. His unraveling, especially regarding his integrity, has been for some time now (personally, professionally). It is sad because he had a great legacy that he has destroyed. It is like he’s kept his vices and lost his virtues.

  18. what singles this out is the plot to extort a foreign country to assist a POTUS in re-election 2020. The stand outs are 1) Targeting Biden, 2) pressurising Ukraine, who are in a war with Russia our adversary. All the money is like an amazon add-on to the prime crimes of 1) and 2)

  19. I do not think that Rudy’s Legacy has been destroyed. His accomplishments as mayor were too significant and enduring. ( even though very many New Yorkers were and are entirely unappreciative )

His personal reputation has been tainted for sure. He was a great American leader, and now he is a dirty trickster in the service of a bum president that isn’t even paying him a fee, as Rudy chases paying clients in Ukraine of all places

Despite all, Rudy was the best mayor that this city has ever had. They can’t take that away from him. He can’t take that away from him.
    .

  20. Kurt, I’d say that Trump would be hopeless in playing chess.

BTW, I hope you think this is as well done as I do…

  21. It is delightful to see something in drama, cheers Noel
Alec Guinness reads the four quartets

Rudy, still coming out swinging with faded GOP talking points on twitter
Mans going to jail but still
“Rage, rage against the dying of the light”
Fess up Rudy – do the right thing !

  22. Trump would have no attention span for chess.

A skilled eighth grader would beat him in every game
