When Lying is No Longer a Vice

By 33230715130361 On December 11th, 2019

I think part of the political fatigue setting in among those opposed to Trump is caused by the realization that he wont stop lying and that his supporters not only dont mind this, they revel in it. Each lie over the hours, days, weeks and months have the majority of the population thinking “surely this will be the final straw.” But it will never be. The lies will continue. He’ supporter by media types who lie with him. By politicians who lie with him. By supporters who lie with him. This isnt a debate point, it is a factual realization.
Gone are the days of Honest Abe or the George Washington who could never tell a lie. They’ve been cut down like Washington’s cherry tree. Here now ate the days of Orwell’s Memory hole, Machavelli’s lying prince and Stalin’s false propoganda.
Aesop’s The Boy Who Cried Wolf and Disney’s Pinocchio are stories that are Dead on Arrival.
The Republucans who will acquit Trump in the Senate have learned that Dishonesty is the Best policy. Instead of holding him accountable they will allow him to abuse his office for personal gain. Why? For their own gain.
It is a depressing reversal of two sides arguing over different but credible positions to the current status of the deceitful verse the facts. I doubt there is anything more appropriate to call this than a tangled web.

  1. well thank you Mahons. I just spent 2 days in the hospital and I needed the laugh.

    Fact no Russian Collusion

    Fact no Abuse of Power

    Fact no Obstruction

Now you can call those lies all you want, but you can’t produce a single piece of evidence to support that he did any of those things, but you keep drinking the kool aid.

  2. And no political bias on the FBI investigation into it Pat.

    That’s a fact too.

  3. yeah no political bias…….. yet the primary piece of evidence used in the FISA warrants was the Steele Dossier a fake piece of Russian disinformation paid for by a political opponent and illegally used by the FBI, but there’s no politics there…. lmao

  4. We did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that political bias or improper motivation influenced the FBI’s decision” to seek surveillance warrants on Page, Horowitz’s report concludes

So much hope yet so little outcome.

  5. Pat

How’s the Horowitz Report working out for you?

  6. Fact no Russian Collusion

    Fact no Abuse of Power

    Fact no Obstruction

Questionable, but a sure fact is an endless stream of lies from your man, now exceeding 14,000 and averaging over 100 per day. He is a totally shameless congenital liar, end of.

  7. There was no collusion. The Trumpers met with Russians many times in order to discuss the price of borscht in Vladivostok

There was no witness tampering, even when Trump witness tampered on live TV

  8. There was no witness tampering, even when Trump witness tampered on live TV

And there were no requests for foreign help in the 2016 campaign, even when he encouraged the Russian hackers to “hack some more” DNC emails.

The only rational explanation for Trump’s total silence on Putin is that Putin does have something big on him, whether it’s Russian hookers in St Petersburg in 2012 as per the Steel dossier or just general corruption in his many Russian dealings. It can’t be a coincidence that the schmuck has repeatedly flayed the leaders of China, Britain, Germany, France and Canada but said not a single peep against the corruptocrat hospital-bombing chemical weapons facilitator in Russia.

  9. The Trump Fox Limbaugh lie machine constantly is tampering with the language itself

    There is no truth

    Facts and lies are equal

The FBI are traitors, the KGB is our only good friend

  10. The Trump Fox Limbaugh lie machine constantly is tampering with the language itself

For me it will be one of the most damaging, long lasting Trump legacies. With the Don Dons language has no value nor meaning.

  11. mahons, i tend to agree, but the shining light of hope ( apart from Jesus ) is :
The Courts, its been interesting to note some of the judgements, ofc Tramp will appeal to the supreme court on everything. This will be a first in USA History, when all the Supremes do for the next year is hear Tramps appeals. Staggering that . Everything is broken. Its nightmarish , you can’t tell your kids democracy is alive and well, Tramp has crapped on everything sacred in USA. But Justice is slow, let the FBI do its job, indictments are coming for Rudy . SDNY are busy .. the enemies of the people the GOP loopers will be found out.

  12. This will be a first in USA History, when all the Supremes do for the next year is hear Tramps appeals.

Apart from the test case to reverse Roe v Wade. That’s the big one and I so hope they give the pussy-grabber Trump his win, because it will guarantee that he won’t get a second term.

  13. “The only rational explanation for Trump’s total silence on Putin is that Putin does have something big on him.” You can be sure Putin has hard evidence on all of Trump’s money laundering for Russians and others. In effect Putin has the goods to convict Trump in a US court at the time of his choosing and he has told that to Trump. There may be other things but the money laundering evidence is sufficient to keep Trump on his leash and to do his bidding.

  14. Proof surfaces that Russia bankrolled Donald Trump’s Ukraine extortion plot

Sure enough, Bloomberg is reporting additional details about Lev Parnas and his finances. Parnas received a million dollar payoff from a bank account in Russia in September, at a time when he was still helping to carry out Trump’s Ukraine extortion scandal. In other words, Russia was bankrolling the Ukraine extortion plot.

  15. WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—For the third year in a row, Donald J. Trump has been named Person of the Year by the magazine Popular Sociopath, the publication announced on Thursday.

“Once a year, we at Popular Sociopath recognize the person who best epitomizes sociopathic-personality disorder, which manifests in antisocial behavior and a total absence of conscience and concern for others,” Harland Dorrinson, the magazine’s editor, said. “We are delighted to bestow this honor, once again, on Donald J. Trump.”

Dorrinson said that Trump bested a daunting roster of competitors for the title, including the Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell; the Fox News host Tucker Carlson; and Trump’s own son Donald J. Trump, Jr.

“Honestly, though, it wasn’t close,” the editor said.

When asked if he had reached out to his son since surpassing him for the magazine’s honor, Trump told reporters, “Why would I do that? I don’t care what he thinks or feels. This is all about me. What a stupid question. You’re worthless.”
