DRIVING IN MY CAR…

By ATWadmin On January 30th, 2009

You have to admire the studied indifference to the law. Then again, it IS Liverpool!

“A man convicted of drinking and driving at a Liverpool court hearing got straight into his car and drove away!

Peter Latham of Stuart Road North, Liverpool, was issued with a 12-month ban at the hearing on Wednesday after admitting driving while drunk. Moments later he was caught on CCTV leaving the Community Justice Centre, getting into his car and driving off. Judge Ian Lomax jailed him for 10 weeks for what he said was “the most blatant breach I have seen in a long time”.

  1. "Community Justice Centre"

    Well, what do you expect?

  2. Considering the guy is from Liverpool, the biggest shock is that he drove away in his own car.

  3. Seamus,

    LOL…

  4. Is this the same Liverpool that was "Ulsters best friend" according to Carson as he spoke to Britains largest outdoor crowd in October 1912? Indifference to the law unknown in other parts of the Kingdom?
Hundreds like myself of British soldiers from Merseyside have served defending Ulster, while others slept in their cosy beds at night or joined one man political parties, and got derisory votes when they stood as candidates.
Still something at last in common with Seamus!

  5. Scouse,

Along with Belfast, Dublin, Cardiff and Glasgow, one of the great cities on these islands…
