Last week a senior United States Senator gave a speech stating that the IRS should be used to target and punish groups that disagree with the Democratic Party’s political agenda.  Sen. Chuck Schumer stated, “…there are many things that can be done administratively by the IRS and other government agencies — we must redouble those efforts immediately.”

  1. The president has golfed all weekend at taxpayer’s expense at his golf resort.

100,000 people will be dead from the virus on Monday.

    Your priorities suck.

  2. The president has golfed all weekend at taxpayer’s expense at his golf resort.

100,000 people will be dead from the virus on Monday.

    Your priorities suck.

  3. Patrick and all the true Trumper’s could care less about the problems that the country and the world are having, Including the so-called flu

They only Care about vomiting up Trumper talking points, Thinking that someone will be distracted

  4. 100,000 people will be dead from the virus on Monday.

A lot of them killed because Governors Cuomo, Murphy, Wolf et al ordered care homes to accept Covid-positive patients.

  5. Cuomo claims that this was in line with federal policy

What does your research tell you about this

  6. They’re dead because Trump didn’t take this virus seriously. He only shut down China travel after he was given a head’s up by the airlines that they were closing all flights.

United informed the White House it had already decided to do the same but was willing to hold off on announcing it publicly if Trump was prepared to act swiftly in issuing an order, officials said. Eager to claim credit for acting to contain the virus, Trump’s announcement came within hours.

And he completely botched the Euro shutdown , causing more spread of the virus in the US.

Trump is an incompetent train wreck.

  7. My research tells me that Cuomo issued an executive order that patients be discharged into care homes, even if tested positive.

Here is Andrew Cuomo’s March 25th executive order requiring nursing homes to accept coronavirus patients

  8. D

Yes, as it’s clear that the introduction of virus into the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area came from Europe – it came through the back door. Scientists have said this , even Trump administration officials said this on TV today

But Trump didn’t even shut down China travel when he said he did. He shut down some China travel from Chinese nationals.

But Chinese flag airlines, including air China, were flying nonstop flights to the United States until at least March, Maybe until April. I pointed that out here then , and none of the Trumpers said anything

  9. Cuomo should own up and admit fault about the care homes situation. Actually I am surprised that he had the authority to intervene in that way on what should have been left as a medical decision voluntarily agreed between hospital and care home authorities.

  10. Daphne –

Don;t give me that shit. Democrats went nuts when Trump tried to close the skies to China. It was, predictably, “racist”.

This while De Blasio and the NYT were telling everyone to get out there, that it’s no worse than flu, so party on for the Chinese New Year.

    Come on.

  11. But he didn’t close the skies to China when he said he did

And Cuomo Did make a mistake when he made that nursing home policy, but if what he says here is correct it was absolutely in line with what Trump’s CDC policy said to do

Cuomo and Trump are both to blame for such a policy

  12. Colm, that happened because the Trump field and ship hospitals were not taking virus patients until the tail end of the NYC crisis. Cuomo was wrong, but he was strapped for places to put these people. The hardest hit hospitals were overflowing at that point.

  13. Pete, a few lefties went nuts. Don’t over blow the reaction. The vast majority of Americans thought it was fine.

It was a lie though, he didn’t actually shut down travel from China.

  14. Mistakes were made by all here

And that is absolutely true that the USNS comfort initially did not take coronavirus patients

There was fear that the hospitals would become overwhelmed, and to an extent that did happen

The only alternative that Cuomo might have had would be to try to send some of those virus patients out of state, And I doubt very much whether the other states would’ve been too happy about that

  15. https://www.airchina.us/US/GB/promotion/Adjustment

Air China had nonstop flights to LAX, SFO and JFK until deep in to March and maybe later.

  16. And that is absolutely true that the USNS comfort initially did not take coronavirus patients

They were never meant to. They are not intensive care equipped. They were meant to take non-ICU patients to relieve pressure from hospitals.

    Daphne –

I know that Trump didn’t manage to shut down travel from China. It was a great win for all the Democrats who said it would have been racist for doing so.

Meanwhile, New Zealand’s left wing government closed its borders to the world and has been praised for its response to the virus. Trump would be crucified by the gutter press for doing the same thing.

The New Zealand border has been closed to almost all travellers from 23:59 New Zealand Time on Thursday 19 March 2020. The travel ban applies to all arrivals into New Zealand whether it is by air or sea.

  17. The USNS . Developed the capability to treat such patients, But only after This has been requested by the governor and the mayor

Hindsight is 20/20, but it would’ve been better if they had started working on this capability from the beginning

  18. Numbers are coming in now:

    Andrew Bostom
    22 May
    CDC, 5/21/20 https://cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/planning-scenarios-h.pdf
    , concedes infection fatality ratio (IFR of) “Covid19/Wuhan flu” is = 0.27%*, almost= to 1957-58 pandemic H2N2 flu in U.S., i.e., 0.26%** h/t @ElonBachman
BUT NO “LOCKDOWNS” in 1957-8! (1/3)…

Of course, the CDC’s infection fatality rate is skewed by packing the numerator with guys who fell off ladders, and the denominator is reduced by under-stating the number of infected asymptomatics.

But Russia has got numbers too:

    – At least 12.5 percent of Moscow residents have developed antibodies to Covid-19, the city authorities have said, after taking samples from 50,000 people. It’s just the beginning of a massive survey that will see millions tested.

    – Moscow is the largest city in Europe, populated by more than 12 million people. Major urban centers were hit hardest during the pandemic, and the Russian capital was no exception. The city has so far recorded more than 158,000 confirmed Covid-19 cases and 1,934 fatalities, more than anywhere in Russia. Some 43,500 have successfully recovered from the disease. –

According to Wikipedia, Moscow has a population of 12.5 million people. If 12.5% of them have anti-bodies, that would be 1,562,500 people. Of these, 1,934 have died.

That comes out to one person in 808, which is 0.12%.

This is fairly consistent with the CDC’s report of a 0.26% fatality rate, if you take into account that the CDC is counting a whole lot of people who died of causes other than coronavirus, while Moscow is doing autopsies to determine cause of death – which is the normal way of doing things – and has determined from this that over 60% of those who died as ‘coronavirus patients’ died from unrelated causes.

But what about the fatalities of the lockdown itself?

    – The coronavirus lockdown could have caused more deaths than it saved, a Nobel laureate scientist has claimed.

Michael Levitt, a Stanford University professor who correctly predicted the initial scale of the pandemic, suggested the decision to keep people indoors was motivated by ‘panic’ rather than the best science.

Professor Levitt also said the modelling that caused the government to bring in the lockdown – carried out by Professor Neil Ferguson – over-estimated the death toll by ’10 or 12 times’.

His claims echo those in a JP Morgan report that said lockdowns failed to alter the course of the pandemic but have instead ‘destroyed millions of livelihoods’.

Author Marko Kolanovic, a trained physicist and a strategist for JP Morgan, said governments had been spooked by ‘flawed scientific papers’ into imposing lockdowns which were ‘inefficient or late’ and had little effect. –

In Ireland, Dolores Cahill is intending to get after the politicians responsible for this disaster and force them to release the ‘scientific’ advice on which the lockdown order is based, and also to pursue Varadkar – a medical doctor – for bringing the profession into disrepute. After all, Primum Non Nocere implies taking the course of least harm, and Varadkar did not do that.

Nonetheless, the majority at ATW are in a state of absolute terror, and are doubling-down, quadrupling-down, octupling-down, 6000000ing-down on their ‘need’ for lockdown. It’s hilarious 🙂

  19. There seems to be a problem in Arkansas:

Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson in early April questioned the effectiveness of a shelter-in-place order. He said, “The question is, ‘Are you accomplishing anything by doing that order?’”

On all the website scoreboards rating states based on their COVID-19 response, Arkansas was consistently on the bottom with “F” ratings.

Yet Arkansas is doing much better than its shutdown neighbors with far fewer COVID-19 deaths per million residents.

Arkansas is not the exception. Seven other states never issued shelter-in-place orders. These eight states are experiencing half the death rate of the neighbors that did shut down.

    Daily Stormer says:

Just so, there is a clear political agenda with the coronavirus, though it is so insane that it is difficult to comprehend. Clearly, the goal was to collapse the economy, strip the populations of Western countries of all of their basic civil rights and implement a massive surveillance grid. That has now happened. The next phase appears to be to force-vaccinate people and then inject them with computer chips that will be used to track them everywhere they go. There is also a plan to implement a “Universal Basic Income” (UBI) system, where the government gives credits to everyone to buy food. These credits will be stored on the computer chip that is implanted in your hand.

and guess what happens to be on today’s front page of The Herald (a Scottish daily)…..

Research and consultancy firm Mark Diffley asked more than 1000 people if they supported or opposed the idea of a basic payment with 67% agreeing it should be introduced in Scotland.

It comes after the First Minister said earlier this month that discussions around universal basic income (UBI) between Holyrood and Westminster should be a top priority.

Nicola Sturgeon said that the coronavirus pandemic and the economic damage caused by it “have actually made me much, much more strongly of the view that it is an idea that’s time has come”.

Amazing – and no cohencidence at all 🙂

Forced (coercive then compulsory) vaccinations are being discussed openly……

And Bill Gates with his Quantum Dot shit to follow

The ‘digital certificates’ Gates was referring to are human-implantable ‘QUANTUM-DOT TATTOOS’ that researchers at MIT and Rice University are working on as a way to hold vaccination records. It was last year in December when scientists from the two universities revealed that they were working on these quantum-dot tattoos after Bill Gates approached them about solving the problem of identifying those who have not been vaccinated.

  20. “Your priorities suck.”

Nero golfs while Rome burns. And Patrick wants to distract from that. So much so that he is digging up six year old attack pieces written not by Forbes but by the co-founder of the New York Tea Party, who was using a quote that hasn’t been reported by legitimate news organisation (normally just far right attack pieces – the American Center for Law and Justice, Rick Manning from Breitbart, the Washington Times).

Now a basic look through the record suggests that Schumer wanted investigations of bogus 501(c)(4) “social welfare” organisations that were spending insane amounts of money on elections following the Citizens United case, while using a loophole in the tax code to avoid paying taxes.

Patrick hates corruption so much that he doesn’t even want investigations into the corrupt influencing of elections.

  21. Nice catch Seamus. I’d ask why someone wouldn’t fact check what they post, but we know why.
