HERE WE GO AGAIN

By Pete Moore On June 16th, 2020

The Chinese capital Beijing has put more neighbourhoods under lockdown and boosted testing as it tries to contain an outbreak of coronavirus.

There were 27 new cases reported on Tuesday, bringing the total to 106 people over five days.

A Chinese official has described the new outbreak in the capital as “extremely severe”.

This will go on and on and on unless a vaccine is found. This is the interesting thing: flights from Peking to the rest of China have been halted. The same happened in Wuhan and Hubei province in January. No-one in, no-one out, but only with regard to the rest of China. International flights continued and so the Yellow Peril was exported.

So I say again, just as I said at the time. If the Chinese aren’t receiving flights from Peking then neither should we. Immediately all flights should be halted. If we don’t, and we won’t, we’ll never get through this.

  1. But its just the flu

We have two world class epidemiologists on this site who have told us that many times.

    Why are you worried

  2. People are trying to move Trunkp away from Tulsa as the red states are now showing signs of corona virus cases heading in the wrong direction . Its falling on deaf ears

  3. I just want us to be good liberals, like the New Zealand Prime Minister, so we can keep out foreigners.

In red states they call it the News York Disease.

  4. In red states they call it the News York Disease.

well they better do what New Yorkers did to combat it , take precautions

  5. After about two weeks of no cases at all in the country, New Zealand now has 2 new cases.. both visitors from good old blighty !

We don’t need to keep out foreigners, they need to keep us away !

  6. well they better do what New Yorkers did to combat it

They love their grandparents in red states. They don’t allow mayors and governors to kill them.

  7. They love their grandparents in red states. They don’t allow mayors and governors to kill them.

crazy comment from a crazy guy

No-one has acted fast enough in care homes , not UK not USA not anywhere
but you’ve spent the last 3 months denying it, suddenly now the concern as its Democrats which are the target .. the dishonesty is as transparent as water .
Do you even get bored of political point scoring ?

  8. Trump is making it the Oklahoma Flu

Patrick Pete and Allan are flying down for the Trump rally in the indoor arena?

    Masks are optional

  9. Harri will be there serving up his delicious Chinese bat soup 🙂

  10. https://www.wsj.com/articles/how-new-yorks-coronavirus-response-made-the-pandemic-worse-11591908426

New York leaders faced an unanticipated crisis as the new coronavirus overwhelmed the nation’s largest city. Their response was marred by missed warning signs and policies that many health-care workers say put residents at greater risk and led to unnecessary deaths.

Like the NHS, Cuomo and Di Blasio killed thousands.

  11. Coming down for the hate rally?

  12. Trump is making it the Oklahoma Flu

Yeah, I noticed how the press and the public health jokers, who approved of tens of thousands protesting so recently (including many right on your doorstep), have suddenly flipped back to warning about gatherings.

    Bullshitters, the lot of’em.

  13. All of them, the BLM marchers, and all those involved in organizing or participating in this rally in Tulsa, are to be condemned.

They all will accomplish one thing at the end – spread of a deadly virus.

  14. “Like the NHS, Cuomo and Di Blasio killed thousands.”

    petem,
seeing as you started this circular shooting match tonite , hate to think what you make of arch right winger patriot nationalist President of Brazil, was he right to ignore corona advice ?

Brazil now has the world’s second-highest coronavirus death toll but the peak may still be weeks away.

  15. The US president and Boris did a heck of a job, Brownie

  16. The US president and Boris did a heck of a job, Brownie

  17. Here’s a novel concept about the Tulsa rally. Personal responsibility is a key republican attribute. How about letting adults decide for themselves whether they should go or not. They know the risks. If BLM can protest, Republicans can come together as well.

  18. Republicans will be fine. Quick shot of disinfectant injection and they’ll be good to go again.

  19. No that’s not enough

Those unmasked hollering jerks will bring the virus home to their families and neighbors.

How is that OK to anyone

They are worse than the BLM Bums. They will be in a tightly packed indoor arena

  20. Charles

What about the people they come into contact with afterwards, at home, in shops, on public transport ? What choices so they have ?

  21. All crowd gatherings are deeply selfish while this infectious virus is in the community – regardless of the reasons for the gatherings.

  22. Yes, these are the worst neighbors in the world.

And you know that they will take it as a point of pride not to wear masks, when indoors at a huge gathering, with people yelling and cheering.

By being indoors, they will spread the virus more efficiently than the BLM people did.

  23. And you know that they will take it as a point of pride not to wear masks, when indoors at a huge gathering, with people yelling and cheering

That’s an interesting one. It’ll be interesting to see how many are unmasked and of the unmasked, I wonder how many will be because of peer pressure as opposed to belief?

  24. If I was going, which I’m not, I’d wear a mask.

    Paul, Good one mate!

  25. “Republicans will be fine. Quick shot of disinfectant injection and they’ll be good to go again.”

And to make double sure: https://images.news18.com/ibnlive/uploads/2019/11/sun.jpg

  26. Let there be light indeed 🙂

  27. Trump is obsessed with the visual image

He will not want to wear a mask even when someone else is speaking. He might wear one when not speaking, but I doubt it.

He could very well get the virus himself, doing this unwise thing.

  28. lol pete’m out cold , failed the count by 45 mins
    I think my 7:46 was a KO
colm independent colm 😉 could I ask ya to verify? look like a KO to you ?

  29. The thing about the mask is that it protects others, there’s no obvious benefit for Trump in wearing it.

  30. There definitely was a mistake made in regard to nursing homes, and enough blame available for all.

  31. charles have you got 2 mins to listen and respond to this

retired Ranger, 5 tours of duty , voted republican all his life

2 mins 7 secs oops my bad 😉 forgive me

    https://twitter.com/RVAT2020/status/1272895454670229504

  32. “Trump is obsessed with the visual image.” I’ve read he thinks a mask will make him look like a bank robber and is afraid his political opponents would use it against him. Interesting he thinks he might be taken for a bank robber. Who else would think that?

  33. kurt

Pete will just come back and say that Bolsonaro is a leftie commie BBC watching Democrat !

  34. lol colm maybe tomorrow , he’s out cold though i reckon – hey ho
meanwhile I’ve been listening to sham69 Hurry up Harri
    we’re going down the pub

    https://youtu.be/z2xdCvhvyqY

  35. “Personal responsibility is a key Republican attribute.”

Charles, your glorious leader takes no personal responsibility for anything. Maybe he didn’t get the memo?

I haven’t forgotten about the call by the way, mate.

  36. Brazil now has the world’s second-highest coronavirus death toll but the peak may still be weeks away.

I am astounded that a country of 210 million people has so many cases.

  37. Séimí,

Yes, that is an area where Trump irks me. He always blames or sacks subordinates for his failures. We need a Harry Truman again (a Democrat BTW) who famously said “the buck stops here.”

Thanks for remembering the call, mate.

  38. charles I agree “the buck stops here” is a strongman response when in charge
would you recognise this tweet of Trump in 2014 about Obama, and is Trump worth voting for again ?

  39. Yes, these are the worst neighbors in the world.

    No no no no no.

The Right is not blameless here, including Trump who (early on) made silly statements about the Yellow Peril. But it’s the Left which is now BY FAR most responsible for obliterating the political legitimacy of any further virus containment measures. That includes American public health officials who made themselves a global laughing stock and in so doing destroyed their credibility.

  40. Kurt

Tweets are fine, but you have to walk the walk as well. I say again, I will vote for Trump because the alternative is so, so bad. Honestly, If Cuomo was the Democrat running, I might give it a re-think. Cuomo shows leadership, even though I disagree with him on many things.

  41. complete rot ptem
the left are not in power in the top three coronavirus countries
    USA , Russia and Brazil
All three countries run by people you have said you admire countless time here on ATW
Yep, those strongmen, nationalist, patriots, totally fucked things up haven’t they?
rather than accept that, guess what its all the Left’s fault LMAO

    ridiculous .. insane,
dya think the reason their people are suffering so bad has anything to do with Arrogance ?

  42. Interesting Charles .. I’m fascinated to hear the stories of the ex-trumpers.
I don’t want to hear from my own side all the time ..

  43. Not an ex-Trumper yet Kurt, but a disillusioned one!

  44. dya think the reason their people are suffering so bad has anything to do with Arrogance ?

    It because Chinese socialists lied.

  45. Can the Chinese be called socialists anymore ?

  46. Could be Colm. All the Communists seem to be in America at the moment! 🙂

  47. It’s true the Chinese lied but that doesn’t cut the mustard commie countries in Europe set about dealing with rage effects and got the numbers down , it’s just a fact that the arrogant trio of trunk putin and bolsonaro were too busy with macho displays ignoring best advice about something they could not control by the usual posturing.
It’s not even arguable that .
Swines have let us down and hundreds of thousands are dying , that’s your strong men arrogance

    But its just the flu

It’s just the flu. Only those vulnerable to flu die from the flu and as has been seen from the Covid-panic, it’s just the flu – unless anybody here can show that the mortality is greater than the flu.

Get ready for that ‘second wave’…..

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8412807/Can-cold-coronavirus-immunity.html

Some forms of the common cold might help give protection from Covid-19, a scientific study suggests.
And immunity to coronavirus could last up to 17 years, according to the research by immunology experts.
Patients who previously had colds caused by viruses related to Covid-19, called betacoronaviruses, could have immunity or may suffer a milder form of the disease, researchers say.
Betacoronaviruses, specifically OC43 and HKU1, cause common colds but also severe chest infections in the oldest and youngest patients.
They share many genetic features with the coronaviruses Covid-19, MERS and SARS, all of which passed from animals to humans.
Coronaviruses are thought to account for up to 30 per cent of all colds but it is not known specifically how many are caused by the betacoronavirus types.

Oops – it’s not the flu; it’s the common cold. Be afraid, BE VERY AFRAID. Get your mask on, get the vaccine

  49. Still time for you to fly to Tulsa, meet up with Pete and Patrick and breathe in the air at the arena
