That’s called Pay for Play, or simply a BRIBE

By Patrick Van Roy On October 21st, 2020

A son of Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden was paid an undisclosed amount of money as a consultant by MBNA, the largest employer in Delaware, during the years the senator supported legislation that was promoted by the credit card industry and opposed by consumer groups.

Barack Obama‘s presidential campaign said Biden helped forge a bipartisan compromise on the measure, which is now law and makes it harder for consumers to obtain bankruptcy protection in the courts.

  1. MBNA was headquartered in Delaware and is one of the state’s biggest employers. And Joe Biden’s support of MBNA goes back well before they “bribed” him by giving money to someone else. You’re getting desperate now Pat. I guess you see the writing on the wall.

  2. no you’re just ignorant on how our politicians take bribes.

  3. “no you’re just ignorant on how our politicians take bribes.”

Prove it then. With actual evidence, not innuendo.

  4. If Biden’s son was paid as a consultant by a credit card company in this situation, that’s not OK at all.

It’s likely not a criminal offense, but it should be.

US ethics rules are not good, and have been abused by many politicians over the years.

You don’t bribe the politician, you send the money to the spouse or child. Wink wink.

  5. Story is from AUGUST 25, 2008 / 8:01 PM / CBS/AP

Pat you’re not very good at this stuff are ya .

go on give us a another on Hilary why don’t ya ..lmao or anyone not standing in 2 weeks

    whacko thread

  6. I think it is clear that Hunter Biden has been profiting on his father’s name for a long time. I think companies did try to influence Joe Biden through Hunter. What I think is far less clear is whether that profiting had any influence on his father. And Pat’s example is ridiculous and clearly ridiculous.

Joe Biden, rightly or wrongly (personally I think wrongly), has a long history of backing MBNA. At one point he was nicknamed the Senator from MBNA. It was a major employer in Delaware and it isn’t uncommon for Senators to take up the policy priorities of their state’s big employers. And his support for MBNA long predates Hunter Biden’s involvement with MBNA.

  7. It will be impossible to prove.

Which is why they do it this way.

  8. “It will be impossible to prove.”

There are plenty of things that are impossible to prove. Like the sexual assault allegations against Brett Kavanaugh. You stated he should recieve the benefit of the doubt because they are impossible to prove. Why a different standard?

  9. lol they know their up against JOE BIDEN a decent man proven character, church going catholic, late son served in the military, and against that a weasel Trump a proven liar, conman, cheat, and pervert

There is just no comparison, and pat knows this, this gnaws at their blackened hearts every day as they stare down the barrel of a gun

    showtime – 2 weeks to go ..

  10. Not even close to a different standard.

We know a great deal of what Hunter Biden, the banks and Burisma did, and I think that we all know very well why they all did it.

No one here knows the first thing about what that judge did or did not do many years ago.

  11. “We know a great deal of what Hunter Biden, the banks and Burisma did, and I think that we all know very well why they all did it.”

Yes. But we are not talking about Hunter Biden. We are talking Joe Biden. If it is impossible to prove these things against Joe Biden then should he not get the benefit of the doubt?

  12. His support for MBNA long predates Hunter Biden’s involvement with MBNA

That’s precisely the case. Unless time travel has been invented and supposed peddling of influence can be applied retrospectively that’s where this rubbish falls down

Expect more of this desperate straw clutching over the next fortnight.

  13. Exactly. It needs to be proven that the actions of MBNA in relation to payments or employment of Hunter Biden had a direct influence on changing his father’s political attitude towards their interests. If Joe Biden’s policies on this matter were the same before and after the company’s dealings with the son then there is no story.

  14. The question is how uch made its way into Joe Biden’s pocket. Hunter Biden says, in one of his emails, that 50 per cent of his earnings goes to “the big man”, i.e. his father.

  15. Pete

In the above you meant to write…”in one of the emails purporting to come from Hunter… 🙂

  16. None of this laptop stuff should be taken seriously at this point. It smells of a clumsy dirty trick

I want to know what date the laptops were supposedly dropped off, and want to know if Hunter Biden was in Delaware that day. This should be easy to find out.

  17. Hunter Biden says, in one of his emails, that 50 per cent of his earnings goes to “the big man”, i.e. his father.

Please link to that mail, Pete.

  18. Give Pete a moment and he will find the e mail. He just has to go an find a blind man in Delaware first 🙂

  19. One fine day in the middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight.
Back to back they faced each other,
Raised their swords and shot one another.
The deaf cop on the beat heard the noise,
And came and shot the two dead boys.

    A paralyzed donkey passing by
Kicked the blind man in the eye.
Knocking him through the missing wall,
Falling into a dry ditch drowning them all.
‘I see’ said the blind man ‘a hole in the wall.’
‘don’t be a fool’ said the mute ‘there’s no hole at all.’
