  1. Who told you that all of the US was under lockdown?

What do you think is the meaning of that word?

Conditions vary among states and inside the states.

  2. “But you know, bottom line, the reason that’s the best is because the first and second quarter were the two worst. They were caused by something not economic, they were caused by the pandemic. And so it’s not a normal recovery in the sense of the Great Depression.”

what matters is jobs and Donald Trump is on track to become the worst jobs president in modern American history.

  3. The bad economic result was caused by the virus and the subsequent disjointed, confusing and generally poor US national response to the virus.

Other countries performed better as respects the virus and their economy.

  4. A superb quarter. Free-ish market economies, even in highly adverse times, are incredibly robust. Socialist economies, all planned economies, couldn’t get near these numbers even in the most benign conditions.

  5. I see major rioting in Philly after an aspiring black man, 27-year-old with 9 children and was expecting his tenth child, when he was murdered by racist cops who hated his skin colour.

It’s hard to imagine a more model citizen. Despite all of the challenges in his life, dealing with the stresses of racism and many other problems in his life caused by white people, he was only arrested and booked on charges and had a mug shot taken 13 times between the ages of 18 and 27. Given the stresses of suffering from racism, and trying to handle the FACT of white privilege and white fragility, this is a very small police record.

But whites should truly thank him for making all of these new black people for society to enjoy. If there is one thing that we know is going to make America a better place, it’s more black people. Wallace did a great service to America by bringing these ten children into the world, and many white people will have the honour of experiencing the joy of their existence.

    Just imagine: ten black children.

Imagine all of the interactions those ten black children are going to have with white people, and all of the joy that they will bring into the lives of the whites they encounter.

  6. You do know even with a 33% GDP growth the US is till significantly down from where it was

  7. oh yeah…..

  8. And the only reason its 33% is you actually count healthcare as part of your GDP and god knows those sure are growth industries during the trumpdemic

  9. On Tuesday the White House science office went beyond Trump’s now-standard claims that we’re “rounding the corner” on the coronavirus and declared that one of the administration’s major achievements was “ending the Covid-19 pandemic.

Who was that supposed to convince, when almost everyone is aware not only that the pandemic continues, but that coronavirus cases and hospitalizations are surging? All it did was make Trump look even more out of touch.

Wait, it gets worse. In last week’s debate, Trump declared that New York is a “ghost town.” Eight million people can see with their naked eyes that it isn’t.

On Monday, campaigning in Pennsylvania, Trump repeatedly claimed that thanks to the state’s Democratic governor, “You can’t go to church.” Thousands of churchgoing Pennsylvanians know that this simply isn’t true.

On Wednesday, campaigning in Arizona, Trump went on a rant about California, where “you have a special mask. You cannot under any circumstances take it off. You have to eat through the mask. Right, right, Charlie? It’s a very complex mechanism.” As 39 million California residents can tell you, nothing remotely like that exists.

Again, who is this supposed to convince? It’s hard to see any political upside to such ludicrous confabulations, which demand that people reject their own direct experience. All they do — I hate to say this, but it’s obvious — is raise questions about the president’s stability

  10. El Paso County Judge Ricardo Samaniego said Thursday he is ordering a two-week shutdown of all non-essential services for two weeks to curb the spread of COVID-19.

“Our hospitals are at capacity. Our medical professionals are overwhelmed. If we don’t respond, we will see unprecedented levels of deaths,” Samaniego said at a news briefing.

Essential businesses, including grocery stores, schools, child care centers, pharmacies and health care facilities, will remain open, he said. He said the order takes effect at midnight

look at this graph – fricking amazing

    that’s how to do it

in a years time all those jobs will be back , as the 5 million people in Melbourne
