The Opening Salvo

By Patrick Van Roy On November 19th, 2020

The following is President Trump’s Election Fraud Strike Force’s Press Conference on the Election. It is an hour and a half long. You’ve heard one side now for 16 days, here is the FIRST shot from the otherside.

This is an historic Press Conference. If you don’t think that, you will by the end of it. We live in interesting times, you have the opportunity to watch it uncensored, unfiltered, you get to decide whether or not what is said is important or not for yourself.

  1. I watched/listened to a lot of it live. It was an absolutely demented litany of conspiracy loon bullshit.

and Rudy’s hair coloring started running down the side of his face during it.

and he quoted My Cousin Vinny

  2. lol….. few you just wrote CNN/MSNBC/BBC talking points for the next 3 days….

  3. Classic demented comment from FO

    & screenshot for posterity

    Enjoy the ride

  4. Giuliani and Powell were powerful, from the bits I caught. But in the end it’s not right and wrong but a political battle. They have to persuade courts and many won’t be for persuading.

These last few weeks have pulled back the curtain slightly on just how corrupt some of these Dem jurisdictions are.

  5. No it’s not a POLITICAL battle. It’s a matter of Law.

    Watch the whole interview Pete.

  6. My Cousin Vinny

Everyone should quote My Cousin Vinny

  7. yoots

  8. Jenna Ellis is a smart cookie

This is what she said about Trump in 2016
    https://www.facebook.com/JennaEllisEsq45/posts/1672485549670699

“I could spend a full-time job just responding to the ridiculously illogical, inconsistent, and blatantly stupid arguments supporting Trump.
But here’s the thing: his supporters DON’T CARE about facts or logic. They aren’t seeking truth. Trump probably could shoot someone in the middle of NYC and not lose support.
And this is the cumulative reason why this nation is in such terrible shape:
We don’t have truth seekers; we have narcissists.”

  9. Opening Salvo clear miss

  10. Opening salvo?

More like an open and shut case. For those who watched that whole flaming dumpster of a conference, did they provide any evidence of fraud yet?

    Anything?

  11. Judge Chamberlain Haller: Uh… did you say ‘yutes’?
    Vinny Gambini: Yeah, two yutes.
Judge Chamberlain Haller: What is a yute?
Vinny Gambini: Oh, excuse me, your honor…Two youths.

Vinny: I object to this witness being called at this time. We’ve been given no prior notice he’d testify. No discovery of any tests he’s conducted or reports he’s prepared. And as the court is aware, the defense is entitled to advance notice of any witness who will testify, particularly those who will give scientific evidence, so that we may properly prepare for cross-examination, as well as give the defense an opportunity to have the witness’s reports reviewed by a defense expert, who might then be in a position to contradict the veracity of his conclusions.
    Judge Chamberlain Holler: Mr. Gambini?
    Vinny: Yes sir?
Judge Chamberlain Holler: That is a lucid, intelligent, well-thought out objection.
    Vinny: Thank you, your honor.
    Judge Chamberlain Holler: Overruled.

    Long Live My Cousin Vinny

  13. I sat through about just over a third of it and at first I thought it was bad but stuck with it, then it became so bad that it was almost riveting but then it just through the worst phase of all, it became boring. Forget Trump or Biden, anyone who manages to sit through the whole thing deserves to be awarded the Presidency 😉

  14. It’s hard to pursue a legal case when you have no supporting evidence.

Rudy deserves an award of some nature.

  15. Every woman I dated growing up…….

  16. Phantom it looks like the evidence is overwhelming on all counts.

We shall see come the hearings.

  17. When you have evidence, you present your case to the court.
When you don’t have evidence, you present your case to the court of public opinion on TV.
( another version of when you have neither evidence or the law on your side, you pound the table )
hilarious stuff from Rudy and the dream team .. the fact that pat takes Rudy seriously is unsurprising, but still hugely entertaining nonetheless

  18. So the argument here is that Chavez/Soros/Mystery Democrats orchestrated a massive multi-state voting fraud conspiracy to engineer Trump’s loss – that involved Dems losing seats in the House, possibly falling short in the Senate and not taking over a single new state legislative chamber?

    That’s your game plan?

Sounds pretty lame to anybody with an IQ over 60.

  19. Mayor of New York City

    United States Associate Attorney General

United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York

but he’s an idiot, and a russian spy…….. oh ok…… keep telling yourselves that.

These aren’t the droids you’re looking for, nothing to see here, move along……

  20. The down ballot republican seats won in all of those states/counties Trump is contesting – house, senate, state – are they all called into question by Trump’s weird legal team. Are those votes for R candidates legitimate if the voting machines were rigged?

Lots of split votes across the country – no for Trump/yes for R down ballot candidates.

How do you validate Trump without disqualifying those republicans votes.

  21. Rudy was a brutally effective prosecutor and the best mayor in the city’s history .

    But he’s lost it.

He is a servant of a man not fit to shine the shoes of Mayor Giuliani.

  22. lol…. we’ll see

  23. Rudy looks like a man well past his prime.

Noticed you didn’t address my points.

  24. Sorry Daphne, not intentional

It may cause those seats to be flipped back, but most likely not.

The software in the machine can specify a whole ticket adjustment or just a single candidate.

They will have to show the coding as to what (if anything) was in the code. But it very well could flip those seats back.

  25. Rudy has wrecked his substantial legacy with these carryings on

Trump never had a reputation to lose, so he can keep tweeting to his hearts content.

His presidential library ( the thought of it! ) will be limited to books of 280 characters or less.

  26. The Guardian had a great headline today about this hilarious press conference. They showed a picture of Rudy’s hair colour dripping in the heat with the headline “ No time to Dye” 😉

  27. This whole legal challenge farce is like the initial North Korean reaction after the original Dear Leader Kim il Sun died where for around 48 hrs the apparatchiks kept the news from the populace as they wouldn’t be able to comprehend the ‘eternal leader’ could have died. Trump devotees are going through the same thing struggling to process the unbelievable news that The MAGA one could possibly have been defeated at the polls. 😉

  28. That sounds truly insane and makes no sense, Troll.

Your guy lost fair and square. Just admit and move on.

Y’all are damaging our democracy with this bogus litigious bullshit attacking our elections. It’s anti-American, deeply undemocratic, and fascist as fuck.

Your fawning cult worship of Trump is simply disgusting.

  29. No it’s not a POLITICAL battle. It’s a matter of Law.

    LOL

As soon as the last legal challenge is thrown out Trump will revert to Plan B which is to persuade GOP-run states to ignore the certified results and send Trumpist electors to the College. This has been openly discussed in GOP circles since long BEFORE the election and Trump will try it for sure, and the usual suspects including Patrick will be 100% on board as always.

Question: Can Lyndsey Graham get any further up Trump’s ass? And can Crooked Rudy?

  30. Another Trump court defeat. A federal judge, who was appointed just last year by Trump – has rejected the Trump campaign’s efforts to block the vote certification in Georgia.

Looks like Trump is 1-29 on his court cases.

  31. The Trump/Graham relationship is let’s just say quite interesting.

  32. Tucker Carlson just now:

He says his show has repeatedly asked Sidney Powell for evidence of her vote rigging claim.

He says that she refuses to provide evidence, got angry with his staff, and told them to stop contacting her.

Wonder how Troll squares that circle.

  33. Folks. It’s over. It’s just over. It’s been over. But come on. It’s over.

    Biden won.

  34. The scary thing isn’t that there was ever a chance of this slapstick fever dream “working,” but that tens of millions of people seem primed to internalize this for the long haul.

  35. Daphne it ain’t over till it’s done.

  36. Shocking!

    Not. https://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2020-55006188

    Bidden Georgia win confirmed.

    Troll,

Re your Castro level (per other comments) video can you point out the most convincing section that backs up your assertions and I’ll look at it. But won’t be holding my breath.

  37. Smcgiff

It’s worth watching if only for the part where sweaty Rudi’s hair dye starts dripping 😉

  38. More baseless hot air. All bluster and presentation for the optics, devoid of content.

The sad thing is the Guillani was the man who destroyed the Mafia in NY and as Mayor transformed the city. Now his reputation is ruined and his legacy will be forever to be known as Trump’s toothless attack dig.

  39. Patrick now joins Allan and Pete in Crazy Land.

  40. Allan’s in crazy land. Pete and Patrick are in ‘culture wars pick a side’ land. There is a difference.

  41. Patrick’s cult like devotion, election result denying is symptomatic of Petr’s classification

  42. In the strongest criticism of President Trump by a fellow high-ranking Republican so far, Senator Mitt Romney of Utah on Thursday night excoriated the president on Twitter for his continuing and overwhelmingly unsuccessful efforts to overturn his election defeat earlier this month to Joseph R. Biden Jr.

Mr. Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, said that the president had exhausted his legal challenges in several battleground states and had resorted to trying to defy the will of the voters.

His rebuke of Mr. Trump came on the same day that the president invited Republican state leaders in Michigan to the White House to discuss their efforts to stop the certification of the election results in the state.

“Having failed to make even a plausible case of widespread fraud or conspiracy before any court of law, the president has now resorted to overt pressure on state and local officials to subvert the will of the people and overturn the election,” Mr. Romney wrote. “It is difficult to imagine a worse, more undemocratic action by a sitting American president

    NYT

Good man Romney, whose stature rises by the week.

Trump is actually plotting to subvert the will of the voters of Michigan, and the nation.

Actual, not metaphorical treason, and he is actively working to do it.

Imagine the damage that such a crime would do to the nation and world.

He has already secured his place in history as the worst president in American history. He now moves to a place among the lowest traitors, along with Benedict Arnold and the Rosenbergs.

  43. The Trump Organization’s efforts to sell the Trump International Hotel Washington DC have been put on indefinite hold, casting doubts on the future of one of the president’s biggest financial bets, according to industry executives.

The Trump Organization hired Jones Lang LaSalle to shop the hotel to potential buyers last fall hoping for a price of about $500 million.

People familiar with the deal talks said none of the bids came close to the asking price, and several were for less than $250 million

    CNBC

All of trumps properties have suffered from damage due to association with a ruined brand

But many properties suffer too from the huge decline in business and pleasure travel. ( made much worse by the bad federal response to the virus ) . He and his bankers ( Deutsche Bank ) and co investors may be in real financial trouble.

  44. Trump campaign lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani claimed at a news conference on Nov. 19 that President Trump lost the election because of a baseless conspiracy. (Zach Purser Brown/The Washington Post)

It’s very simple, according to Rudolph W. Giuliani and the rest of President Trump’s legal posse, but also very vast.

China is in on it. Cuba is in on it. Antifa and George Soros are in on it. At least two presidents of Venezuela, one dead and one living, are in on it. Big Tech is in on it; a Web server from Germany is involved (there’s always a server involved). Multiple major U.S. cities are in on it, as are decent American citizens who volunteer at polling precincts. Argentina is in on it, too, sort of.

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley was in on it back in 1960, when, according to an unproved conspiracy theory, he stole the presidency for John F. Kennedy, thereby launching an ongoing pattern of corrupt cities stuffing or scrapping ballots.

The “it” is a massive, premeditated scheme to steal the election from Donald Trump, according to Giuliani, and it also involved corralling poll watchers at great distances from the ballot counting

Rudy is Allan from Aberdeen now, by way of Alex Jones.

    They all are.

  45. The scary thing isn’t that there was ever a chance of this slapstick fever dream “working,” but that tens of millions of people seem primed to internalize this for the long haul.

Daphne, I refer you you to the actions of tens of millions of Democrats over the last four years as an example of people prepared to internalize a fever dream for the long haul. I’m prepared to give Biden as much loyalty as you gave Trump, actually probably less.

  46. Daphne, I refer you you to the actions of tens of millions of Democrats over the last four years as an example of people prepared to internalize a fever dream for the long haul. I’m prepared to give Biden as much loyalty as you gave Trump, actually probably less.

Charles, let’s concede that the Dems were ridiculous in concocting ‘Russian collusion’ nonsense that turned out to be a nothing burger. Why emulate them?

  47. Petr, You and I would concede the Russian collusion was nonsense, though Seamus would disagree, but this Dominion software has me asking real questions. Why is the USA using foreign software for our elections? Shouldn’t this software be vetted by the US government? I think we can all agree that the USA should be able to hold a better election and vote count than the one we just had.

  48. Trump never had a reputation to lose, so he can keep tweeting to his hearts content.

His presidential library ( the thought of it! ) will be limited to books of 280 characters or less.

I wonder who he will charge to get his super terrific, huge presidential library

  49. Charles

Would you honestly have worries and be questioning Dominion software and the election counts in general if Trump had won under exactly the same system ?

  50. Colm, I hope I would, if there was evidence presented that it switched votes. Tucker Carlson has said that if Trump has evidence of this, they need to present it quickly. In other words, put up or shut up. The election has to be certified by the states by Dec. 8th I think.

  51. It is interesting

By all accounts, this guy doesn’t read

The books published under his name were entirely written by others. “ The Art of the Deal “ was written by Tony Schwartz.

Presidential libraries will often be sited in the ex president’s home state. But not this time. Trump has burned all his bridges to NY, there will be no library here. Maybe they can throw up a fake library at a strip mall in Florida. Stock the shelves with “ The Art of the Deal “. Charge the people a dollar and a half just to see ‘em.

  52. “You and I would concede the Russian collusion was nonsense, though Seamus would disagree, but this Dominion software has me asking real questions.”

Well it wasn’t and isn’t nonsense, because it disregards the overwhelming findings of the Special Counsel’s investigation, as well as other investigations (including by the Republican controlled Senate Intelligence Committee).

The finding of the Special Counsel’s investigation was that the “Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion”, and that the actions of Russian agents including social media campaign and the hacking-and-dumping operations “violated U.S. criminal law”. It is worth that was the role of the Special Counsel’s investigation, to determine if someone had broken the law. So legal collusion with the Russians was not within his purview. In addition illegal collusion with the Russians that could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, or had an unlikely chance of being proven beyond a reasonable doubt, would result in no charges being brought about. It didn’t rule on a balance of probability (it had no authority to do so). It is worth noting the particular language used in the Special Counsel’s investigation where they found that “the Office did not find evidence likely to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Campaign officials … acted as agents of the Russian government”. Not that they found no evidence. That they did not find evidence likely to prove beyond a reasonable doubt.

The Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee went further, concluding the same about the extensive interference in the election by Russian intelligence. It went further in that it detailed (though not to a criminal standard) some of the contact between the Trump campaign and Russian intelligence. For example, they found that Paul Manafort’s contact, Konstantin Kilimnik, was directly connected to the Russian theft of Clinton-campaign emails, though most of the discussion of Manaford and Kilimnik is redacted (Kilimnik is believed to be a Russian GRU agent). They also found that Roger Stone had advanced knowledge of the Wikileaks publishing of the Clinton-campaign emails, and may have directed his associate Jerome Corsi to “drop the Podesta emails immediately”. Minutes later Wikileaks released the emails.

The finding of the Special Counsel’s investigation was that there was insufficient evidence to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians. Not that it was nonsense. That is backed up by the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee.

“Why is the USA using foreign software for our elections? Shouldn’t this software be vetted by the US government? I think we can all agree that the USA should be able to hold a better election and vote count than the one we just had.”

Almost all legislation brought forward recently to limit foreign interference in US elections was supported by Democrats and opposed by Republicans. It is also worth noting that Dominion Voting Systems donated money to Mitch McConnell.

And even if they were banned it would be hard to tell whether it would apply to Dominion. While Dominion was founded by Canadians and is headquartered in Canada, its US operations are based out of Denver and it is primarily owned by a US private equity firm, Staple Street Capital. Staple Street Capital own 75% of it, while its founder Canadian John Poulos owns 12%. So is it a Canadian company or an American company. It is hard to tell.

My God. That is pretty magnificent.

Petr, You and I would concede the Russian collusion was nonsense

There was Russian collusion. The Trump Tower meeting on June 9, 2016 with Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort and a Russian delegation including Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, thinking they were going to get dirt on the electoral opponent alone was evidence of collusion.

Dominion software is the last grasp of straws of a drowning administration:

    https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-factcheck-dominion-software-trump-law-idUSKBN27S2Z9

  54. The only real question was whether the Russian collusion was illegal.

Trump publicly asked for the Russians to get involved, by asking them to hack and release Hillary’s emails

If that’s not attempted collusion, I don’t know what is

  55. Charles.

Why is the USA using foreign software for our elections?

    Why not Charles?

  56. Trump’s Plan B is underway already. He is “reaching out” to GOP state legislatures to get them to ignore the election result and certify him as the winner. Number one target is Michigan, but the three other states that Biden flipped will soon follow:

“President Trump on Thursday accelerated his efforts to interfere in the nation’s electoral process, taking the extraordinary step of reaching out directly to Republican state legislators from Michigan and inviting them to the White House on Friday for discussions as the state prepares to certify President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. the winner there.

For Mr. Trump and his Republican allies, Michigan has become the prime target in their campaign to subvert the will of voters backing Mr. Biden in the recent election. Mr. Trump called at least one G.O.P. elections official in the Detroit area this week after she voted to certify Mr. Biden’s overwhelming victory there, and he is now set to meet with legislators ahead of Michigan’s deadline on Monday to certify the results.

The president has also asked aides what Republican officials he could call in other battleground states in his effort to prevent the certification of results that would formalize his loss to Mr. Biden, several advisers said. Trump allies appear to be pursuing a highly dubious legal theory that if the results are not certified, Republican legislatures could intervene and appoint pro-Trump electors in states Mr. Biden won who would support the president when the Electoral College meets on Dec. 14.”

You know this is where our society has devolved…… 4 solid years of investigation found absolutely NO EVIDENCE of Collusion, but a comment made sarcastically yep yep there it is he’s guilty you heard him…….

Ok well Biden ADMITTED he had a team working to commit fraud…. so lets hang him

  58. NO EVIDENCE of Collusion

    LOL

What about Junior Don’s meeting with the Russians in Trump Tower. You know, the one where he was looking for dirt on Hillary. And that Russian DNC email hack was mighty handy. Trump publicly urged them to “hack some more!!!”

  59. I think that some people here have no idea how international most business – manufacturing and software and other things — is today.

For example, every American made car or Boeing contains important ” foreign ” made and designed components.

It doesn’t matter if the election software used in a given state is ” foreign ” or American. It matters that it is good, that it is secure.

I would never want to have any election software from China or Russia, for obvious reasons.

But if there is good software from say allies and friends the UK or EU, why would anyone have a problem with using it?

  60. Everything is interconnected, on that you are right the world gets smaller and smaller everyday.

I don’t really care that the vote went through Spain and Germany. What I care about is the whole system is based on software that’s selling feature is that you can adjust the vote.

  61. We have to use paper Ballots.

  62. the whole system is based on software that’s selling feature is that you can adjust the vote

Now who told you a thing like that?

Interesting that NY State ( the city anyway ) used mechanical voting machines for decades, where you would pull levers on a big machine.

    https://images.app.goo.gl/X7T8CTZBcpozPGcU6

A fairly short time ago, we moved to the superior paper ballot / scanned by machine system for on site Election Day voting.

  63. Patrick

The Georgia recount was done by hand and has confirmed that Biden won the state. I assume that like Trump you still don’t accept that result?

  64. Elections and voting is one of the rare areas in which the humble paper and pencil should be king. There’s no more transparent system.

  65. Yep – use high tech to count ’em where desired , but retain the clean physical record in case the thing fails.

    Patrick

When the legal case is lost Trump will undoubtedly urge the GOP Georgia legislature to ignore the vote and appoint Trumpists to the Electoral College. And you will be cool with that?

  76. No Trump won Florida ( and no one is whining about that )

The plotters are trying to over ride the voters in Michigan, Georgia, Pennsylvania.

  77. Peter what Trump says is irrelevant. What the courts say is not….. this is an onion my friend. By the time all the layers are pealed one side or the other will be crying, but the layers have only just begun to be pealed.

  78. Never mind! Delete!

  79. ok…..

  80. Patrick

The Trump-GOP game-plan is obvious. It’s to delay certification until past the deadline, which will give GOP-controlled Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Arizona the opportunity to ignore the vote in their states and re-elect Trump in the EC.

You could call it a slow-moving coup, but it is no less a coup for that. And when it happens you will be on board.

  81. No Peter the “Plan” is to expose the fraud and let the chips fall where they may.

They will not fall in a direction that you like, but even if they do the benefit of removing these machines (phantom will love this) that Obama forced on the entire country will be removed and the system will be just a little better.

  82. The plot is to commit fraud, by having crony electors over-ride the will of the voter.

Everyone in the country knows this, including those faking concern about fraud by others.

Keep in mind that Pat has always furiously resisted any description of the US as being a democracy.

And Pete, who will surely endorse the plot, rejects the principle of democracy, thinking that only landholders should have a say in how affairs are run.

  83. The fraud has been already committed. The US is not a Democracy, it’s a Democratic Republic.

  84. A democratic republic is a democracy. You need to stop pretending that you are that stupid.

  85. aint gonna happen

  86. 😉

  87. Patrick

Oops, I can see it looks like my comment was in response to Seamus 3:59 – but actually I posted it in reply to Peter’s claim that the Republican States are going to send rogue Electors to the College override the democratic vote counts.

There is no problem with sharing facebook links. Here is a link to a recent Trump post.

  89. Ah very good

  90. they just did a recounts by hand , no machines
its just peeling away from the crazies in Trumps cult
its fun watching Trunk him lose twice though
1st count and then a hand recount ..

  91. this is really interesting if you player poker

I’m no political pundit but I grew up w a dad who was a federal prosecutor & he taught me a lot & I’ve also sat a fair amount of poker w serious players & l’ll say this: I do not think Trump is trying to ‘make his base happy’ or ‘laying the groundwork for his own network’…

…or that ‘chaos is what he loves’. The core of it is that he knows he’s in deep, multi-dimensional legal jeopardy & this defines his every action. We’re seeing 1) a tactical delay of the transition to buy time for coverup & evidence suppression 2) above all, a desperate endgame

…which is to create enough chaos & anxiety about peaceful transfer of power, & fear of irreparable damage to the system, that he can cut a Nixon-style deal in exchange for finally conceding. But he doesn’t have the cards. His bluff after ‘the flop’ has been called in court…

His ‘turn card’ bluff will be an escalation & his ‘River card’ bluff could be really ugly. But they have to be called. We cannot let this mobster bully the USA into a deal to save his ass by threatening our democracy. THAT is his play. But he’s got junk in his hand. So call him.

I will allow that he’s also a whiny, sulky, petulant, Grinchy, vindictive little 10-ply-super-soft bitch who no doubt is just throwing a wicked pout fest & trying to give a tiny-hand middle finger to the whole country for pure spite, without a single thought for the dead & dying

But his contemptible, treasonous, seditious assault on the stability of our political compact isn’t about 2024, personal enrichment or anything else other than trying to use chaos & threat to the foundation of the system as leverage to trade for a safe exit. Call. His. Bluff.

Faith in the strength of our sacred institutions & founding principles is severely stretched…but they will hold. They will. He’s leaving, gracelessly & in infamy. But if we trade for it, give him some brokered settlement, we’ll be vulnerable to his return. We can’t flinch.

    which one are you ?

  92. Colm….. the courts will decide, not Trump, not the Press, and not the State Legislatures.

If and I say if… Trump wins at the SC they will dictate which part of the CONSTITUTION needs to be filed.

You people act and probably don’t even know that the Presidential Election vote has been thrown out 3 times in our History. It then falls to special vote in the House of Representatives.

  93. “You people act and probably don’t even know that the Presidential Election vote has been thrown out 3 times in our History. It then falls to special vote in the House of Representatives.”

It hasn’t ever been thrown out. And as far as I am aware it has only ever gone to a contingent election twice, not three times.

  94. Instead of working on behalf of the nation, Trump spends his days tweeting, watching TV and trying to get state officials to commit crimes against their state and the nation.

  95. Can you link to a copy of that manual?

Patrick, can you provide the link to this manual please.

That’ll be a no then and just more baseless, fake claims for effect.

    https://www.dominionvoting.com/

  96. Patrick

The courts will not decide who is President. They won’t intervene in the electoral process. They will only act to correct evidential illegalities. If demonstrably provable fraud is not found then the current results which give Biden a significantly clear EC lead stands and he becomes POTUS on 20th Jan.

  102. Paul

Patrick has already rejected the Georgia certification for Biden. He claims to be waiting on the outcomes of the court cases but we all know that the cases are hopeless and the real game is to get the four states that Biden flipped to ignore their certified results and appoint Trumpist delegates to the EC.

To be fair, some of the more blowhard GOP members have been quite open about this for months.

  103. tuckers now come out and thrown trunk under the bus, its just hannity now to break

  105. Kurt

Plenty of Republicans, myself included, have said that the President should have his day in court if he has any evidence of wrong doing in the election. As I have said on these pages, Trump should put up or shut up. It’s not throwing the President under the bus to demand accountability.

  106. Fair point Charles, but you have to admit with so many of these lawsuits being thrown out of court, it’s all beginning to look just like frivolous stalling tactics.

  107. Colm, yes it does.

  108. Charles

Your support for Trump is genuine and unabashed but it isn’t blind or devoid of an ability to be honest with yourself. You are a good man.

  109. Thank you Colm. Being wrong is no fun! 🙂

  110. Being wrong is no fun!

At least you can hold your head up with honesty & dignity, though.

  111. The cases that have been thrown out have been cases brought by outside groups, not Trumps Lawyers.

The cases Trumps Lawyers are working on have been dismissed by lower courts, and then Appealed, just as the ones they’ve won have been appealed by the states.

All roads lead to the Supreme Court. None of these cases are settled as long as either side is appealing.

If you people are going to base your hopes on this based on the Legal aspect, it would help you to take the time to learn a little something about how the system works.

If you are going by headlines like Trump loses case in Pa, or Case is thrown out in Mi. and believe that means that anything has been lost or settled for either side what it shows is your total ignorance on how the system works.

  112. Charles

Look on the bright side. If you have any friends or relatives in Georgia you can now concentrate on persuading them to vote Republican in the upcoming Senate re run elections 😉

  113. Patrick

    Learn from Charles !

  114. Not Trumps Lawyers.

Trump lawyers? Rudi Roots? a fucking laughing stock for the ages.

All roads lead to the Supreme Court

I suppose that’s about as close to an admission to the plan as you’re going to get, Peter.

  115. Patrick

The only way the Supreme Court are going to settle this is when they give the final authority to White House security to boot Trump out onto his shiny fat orange ass on Jan 20th 😉

  116. We have reached the stage of this where it comes down to the Law. Were the Laws followed, was the Constitution followed?

The Press is not the arbiter of these things, the courts are. In the first rounds of the litigation they go before Judges that are either politically appointed or elected on the state level and therefore not the final say. All Appeals end at the SC, that’s the Final say.

As an example of not the courts but other bullshit info running around…. Dominion did nothing wrong.

Today Dominion was supposed to Testify how everything they did was just fine before the Pa State Legislature.

They never showed up, instead out of the 220 some odd people on linked in that work for Dominion over 100 of them have deleted their profiles, and the company Lawyered up and they have closed offices here in the US.

Does that mean guilt? No it doesn’t, but why are they running?

  117. I notice that there is no link to reports that might back up your series of claims

  118. Bluster and groundless, baseless hot air devoid of content or merit. The last gasps of a dying corrupt regime.

These ridiculous claims will go the same way as the ridiculous Biden laptop, the ‘stolen’ documents and the Obama administration standing trial claims.

    Utter bullshit made for effect.

  119. All roads lead to the Supreme Court.

In which case Trump would be home and hosed. Can anyone imagine Clarence Thomas ruling against the GOP in any circumstances whatso****ing ever? And it would be the same with Beer Boy and Sperm Woman and the other three GOP judges that would guarantee a 6-3 Trump win.

But totally worthless election cases are not guaranteed to get as far as SCOTUS, so Trump will probably have to fall back on Plan B – get the GOP-run states that Biden flipped to vote for Trump in the College.

Because the more mud that is thrown the more that sticks. And they need as much as possible to stick to justify the planned coup. And they are winning among GOP voters, because over 70% of them now believe that the election result is a fraud and that Trump won it.

  140. Here is Trump’s plan to steal the election and get a second term. It’s already well under way:

    1. Block the vote-certification process in as many states as possible, either through lawsuits or by encouraging Republican officials to object

    2. Convince Republican-controlled legislatures in states Biden narrowly won to dismiss the results of the popular vote as corrupted by widespread fraud

    3. Have the legislature then award their state’s Electoral College votes, which are cast by “electors” on 14 December, to Trump instead of Biden

    4. Do that in enough states – Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, for instance – to pull Trump from his current total of 232 electoral votes over the winning 269-vote mark. Or, at least, pull Biden from 306 down below that mark, which would throw the election to the House of Representatives, where Trump would have an advantage

What is Trump doing to make this happen?

The first hint that Trump was applying pressure to individual states to disregard their current vote totals came following reports that he had called Republican officials who had initially refused to certify the election results from Detroit, Michigan’s largest city. That two low-level party officials, among thousands of county canvassers across the US, would speak directly to a US president was more than just a little unusual. They ultimately reversed their decision to block the proceedings – and then, after Trump’s call, expressed regret for reversing themselves. Those hints became clear evidence of intent when the Republican leaders in the Michigan legislature accepted a presidential invitation to visit the White House on Friday…”

  148. No Colm he is calling me an anti-semite, a white supremacist, and a Liar. He has done all 3 on numerous occasions.

Look the only reason he hasn’t been tossed is because it’s just too much fun watching him and the rest of the stooges lose their minds.

Seamus has been trying to provoke me into suspending him, or banning him. I haven’t for that simple reason…. ahhh the martyrs oh we can’t call Patrick a Liar, we can’t slander and defame him…. lets spend two weeks whining and cursing him we’ll bring the site down maybe even get rid of him…. yeah yeah that’s the ticket.

I expected it, I’ve allowed it to continue, but I am such a bully…. boo hoo.

It’s not debate it has ruined multiple threads, it will probably now ruin this one. Nothing can be discussed without the whining over Seimi’s suspension….

If that is the choice they continue to go down I will remove disruptive commenters. If that leaves no one so be it.

But both the site and I will continue.

It has been a simple request, don’t call or infer that I am a Liar. I warned for over a year before I acted on it. I knew perfectly well the shitstorm that would result.

Now a normal group of people would if not respecting that still especially after the suspension take a step back and maybe understand. Gee he’s serious. We call him an asshole, a cunt, a bully, and a ton of other things and he just ignores us or insults us himself, but I guess he takes this Liar shit seriously.

No instead they want to double down, that’s fine, but you’re all banking on the patience of someone that you all consider has a mental condition…. now who’s crazy. The person you think is crazy or the people that taunt the crazy person?

He can make himself the fool and call me a racist and an anti-semite that may offend me, but it doesn’t provoke me.

This site is to discuss and argue politics, in that discussion it will get heated Insults will fly, but defamation and slander will not be tolerated. There are lines, like it or not, and the person who draws those lines is me. No one has to like it.

Now I haven’t brought this up on any thread but the original, but you clowns can’t control your behavior. You’re like the addicts I’ve worked with, sometimes the best thing for them is to just toss them from the house.

Now I’m not going to dip back into any of the threads where they are still whining… go for it enjoy yourselves. I’m not going to respond to anything said on those threads.

I ask you nicely and with sincerity. Please keep your bitching about what a piece of shit I am to the 2 threads you’ve already destroyed. Stop carrying the argument to every thread.

Now I can’t ask nicer than that.

The ball is in your court gentleman.

  149. Patrick

Ok I am going to try and see if a pragmatic solution can be reached here. If someone here genuinely believes you ( or anyone else) have posted something that is untrue, or that you have promoted the views of anti Semitic and racist websites how should they express their honest view or are you saying they should keep quiet ?

  150. “I ask you nicely and with sincerity. Please keep your bitching about what a piece of shit I am to the 2 threads you’ve already destroyed. Stop carrying the argument to every thread.”

Sincerity… That will be a first.

With all due respect (which is none) no. If you lie I will call you a liar. If you post white supremacist shit I will call you out on your white supremacist shit. If you post anti-Semitic shit I will call you out on your anti-Semitic shit. If you go on about your support for free speech people are going to bring up Seimi’s banning and how your support for free speech is a lie.

And if you don’t like it I don’t give a fuck. And unlike you I am sincere about that. I do not give a fuck. If you don’t like it you can go and fuck yourself. Because you have brought this all on yourself.

So ban me if you want to ban me. I don’t care. But until you apologise to Seimi or ban me I’m going to hound you over it.

  151. I know for a fact that Pat has posted things here that are untrue.

The banning of Seimi was wrong and unjust, everyone here knows it and the next time platitudes regarding freedom of speech are waxed lyrical people will be well within their rights to remind Pat of Seimigate.

  152. Of course he has. Frankly we all have, because we post things we believe are true and whether we admit it or not , sometimes they turn out not to be. Posting something that turns out to be untrue does not make someone a liar. A liar intentionally posts something they KNOW is a lie and does so deliberately. I don’t think (with the possible exception of Allan) that anyone ,including Patrick does that here.

  153. “A liar intentionally posts something they KNOW is a lie and does so deliberately. I don’t think (with the possible exception of Allan) that anyone ,including Patrick does that here.”

Troll knows that Seimi didn’t call him a liar. So for him to continue to insist otherwise is to post a lie and to do so deliberately.

  154. You keep promoting that scenario but it just ain’t gonna happen. It would be such a colossal act of political abuse of power it would backfire spectacularly if attempted. It’s a pipe dream.

    Colm

Unfortunately that’s way too complacent. It’s almost two weeks since the election was called for Biden and Trump has not only not conceded, he has issued dozens of law-suits with the clear intention of delaying certification until past the deadline date of 12 December. And he is now engaged in “reaching out” to GOP legislatures to get them to ignore the result of the election in selecting their Electors for the EC.

And note how our resident GOP trustie Patrick has refused to rule out the scenario I posted at 9.04. I have been predicting this since two days after the election and it is becoming more obvious by the day that it has been Trump’s strategy all along. And it’s not like he didn’t warn us repeatedly before the election, going back many months. And 90% of the GOP is still on board, including Patrick. The few dissenting voices like Romney have been condemned as TRAITORS and the rest are either Trumpist fanatics like Lindsey Graham or too cowardly to speak out against the Dear Leader.

  155. Of course he has. Frankly we all have

I have never intentionally posted an untrue comment or claim on ATW. I remember at least one instance where Pat intentionally invented a figure regarding Hilary Clinton, admitted it was an invented figure and then went on to try to argue it wasn’t an untruth.

He is also fully aware, as is everyone here, that Seimi didn’t call him a liar, as repeatedly claimed.

  156. Peter

The USA isn’t North Korea. The idea that somehow a handful of Republican legislators in 3 or 4 states could ignore the electoral outcome and consequently effect Trump’s reinauguration as President with such a coup being accepted is fantasy. It ain’t gonna happen.

Very simple….. that’s wrong, or that info is a Lie, Not I’m a Liar.

as for whether or not any linked, sourced, or posted tweet that is from a questionable source…. also simple. Hey that guy/gal is a nazi, anti-semite, white-supremist. Not an inference that because I posted it, that I am endorsing the persons philosophy on the world. Hey did you ever think I may not be aware that the person carries those views on the world, but I liked what they said about the topic I posted on ? Believe me the last people I want to promote are racists and anti-semites.

When it is made personal….. you’re a liar, or give us the source because you’re a known liar, etc that makes it personal.

I don’t want anyone to be quiet about anything. I just won’t accept being called a Liar, I don’t lie, I’m wrong, quite often, but there is never an intent to deceive.

Really Colm? So why doesn’t our resident GOP hack Patrick categorically rule it out? One possible reason is that he knows it’s the gameplan and he will toe the party line as always.

  160. Peter if comes down to Trump losing, the right will accept it.

The whole thing is going to wind up before the Supreme Court, how they rule will be accepted by the right. There will be no rogue State that will stop it.

  161. Patrick

I know I will be accused of sucking up to you but your 10:51 is fair comment. I wish everyone could draw a line under recent events and just agree not to call anyone a liar. But that applies to you too Patrick. Don’t accuse someone of calling you a liar on a thread when they haven’t and on that infamous thread you did falsely accuse Seimi, it’s not debatable. I know you are too stubborn to admit it so I won’t ask you too, but for the future if people can refrain from accusing others of being deliberate liars , then by the same token false claims that people have called you that should be avoided. You can’t insist on a rule you won’t apply to yourself.

  162. that’s fair

  163. Patrick

It may well not ever reach the Supreme Court. If the frivolous lawsuits are tossed out by lower courts and the Electoral College ratifies the Biden victory in early December then it is over. Will the Right accept that ?

  164. Claim 2: Access blocked to the counts in Pennsylvania: rejected by Pa supreme court.

I was banned for asking if this was not just an opinion, as I could find no evidence or reports of it anywhere. I guess the Supreme Court in Pa couldn’t find any either.

If it has ruined multiple threads then that’s on you, because you are the one who messed up. And if nothing can be discussed without, as you call it, the whining, over my banning, then again, that is on you, because you are the one who messed up. And yet again – I wasn’t suspended, I was banned. Why are you still telling this lie?

    but I am such a bully…

    Yes, actually. You are.

If that is the choice they continue to go down I will remove disruptive commenters. If that leaves no one so be it.

Thus proving that what you want is an echo-chamber, where no-one disagrees with you. What a pathetic little man you are.

Now a normal group of people would if not respecting that still especially after the suspension take a step back and maybe understand. Gee he’s serious. We call him an asshole, a cunt, a bully, and a ton of other things and he just ignores us or insults us himself, but I guess he takes this Liar shit seriously.

You mean they would take the threat in the way it was intended? What a pathetic excuse for a little man.

This site is to discuss and argue politics, in that discussion it will get heated Insults will fly, but defamation and slander will not be tolerated.

What about when someone asks someone else whether they have any evidence to back up a claim made? And you still don’t know what slander means, do you?

I ask you nicely and with sincerity. Please keep your bitching about what a piece of shit I am to the 2 threads you’ve already destroyed. Stop carrying the argument to every thread.

You don’t do nice or sincere. You do threats and pettiness. You do bullying and crying. You do self-pity and insecurity. You do dishonesty and lack of integrity. You do not do nice or sincerity.

I will continue to bring this up, on any thread I please, because what you did was wrong, and you lied about it and now you won’t admit that.

The ball is in your court gentleman.

No, the ball is in your court. It’s the only one in your court, as you have shown repeatedly that you possess no others. You are the one in the wrong, it’s on you to fix it.

  165. Charles, what do you think about tactics like this?

I don’t like it when the left doxes people, and I don’t like it when those on the right do it either.

  166. Peter if comes down to Trump losing, the right will accept it.

Really Patrick? That’s not how it looks tonight.

The whole thing is going to wind up before the Supreme Court

At this stage that looks unlikely because no decent evidence has been produced in any of the lawsuits so far. But if it does happen the outcome will be a second term for Trump, that’s for sure.

  167. Colm, on November 20th, 2020 at 11:06 PM Said: Edit Comment
    Patrick

It may well not ever reach the Supreme Court. If the frivolous lawsuits are tossed out by lower courts and the Electoral College ratifies the Biden victory in early December then it is over. Will the Right accept that ?

Part of it (Pennsylvania) is already in the hands of the Supreme Court no matter what any lower court does or says will decide what happens here.

The same with the other courts, as each one rules it is appealed by one side or the other.

What happens if the college votes and one side or the other is declared victor before the SC rules on all the cases….. you’ll probably see violence erupt.

  168. At this stage that looks unlikely because no decent evidence has been produced in any of the lawsuits so far.

Peter a sworn affidavit by witnesses are evidence and they have over 1000.

  169. The Supreme Court only intervened in 2000 when there was a genuine knife edge result dispute that affected the Florida result involving genuinely disputed unclear ballots. It was a tight result and the Court only intervened because this specific group of ballots determined the final tally in Florida and hence the Presidency. The same situation does not exist today. The Supreme Court has nothing to adjudicate to affect the national result. Biden has won.

  170. no one should ever dox anyone Charles.

Phantom misread what I wrote. There are not copies of the Dominion employees out there, there are copies of the manual out there, he didn’t understand what I said, or I wasn’t clear.

  171. Patrick

They don’t have any sworn affidavits. They may claim they have 1000 people willing to swear such oaths in court, but the cases haven’t been accepted in court yet. At the moment they are just press conference boasts.

  172. Patrick Van Roy

Deleted…… but copies have been downloaded all over the net…. it’s called Learn how to do a deep search…..

Yet another case of Patrick making a false claim, and failing to provide evidence for it.

I’m beginning to think Noel’s right, why does anybody bother trying to have a reasonable discussion with Patrick.
He’s abusive, ignorant and childish, he constantly makes things up and has zero credibility and knowledge on almost all subjects. And he can’t even hold together a cogent argument.

  173. Yeah, those sworn affidavits evidence:

“Many of these boil down to not being able to observe as closely as they wanted, not having questions answered. A bunch are people saying they saw something, but didn’t know exactly what was happening or why. Some are relatively detailed; most are not.

“But they’re not alleging fraud. A few allege things that made them suspicious, but they offer very little detail.”

    https://www.newsweek.com/michigan-election-affidavits-fraud-trump-1546698

  174. There are copies of the manual out there

Yet mysteriously no links to them?

    Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur

    I smell bullshit.

  175. Colm ten of the sworn affidavits are online, I’m sure you can find them.

The way an afidavit works is your are interviewed by a Lawyer, your statement is typed up, then it is signed under the threat of Perjury that what you said is true. It is evidence that will then be presented before the court.

It can then be cross examined or counter evidence produced, but it’s evidence and they have plenty.

This is what Rudy spoke to in the pc, the Press hasn’t done their job. Not one press agency has bothered to pull the case filings, they are public record. Instead they are tauting a lie that there is no evidence. If you don’t look you can deny it exists.

10 affidavits were listed without redaction for public display. Only ten because of the security needed to protect the witness. Lawyers have had to bail on this due to threats to them and their families.

In michigan the threats to the two members of the state board of electors changed their votes until private security was provided for them because of the threats on their lives.

  176. We are expected to believe that the actual manual of this software openly claims that one of its selling points is that it can change the vote. That it can assist in a Fraud ! really ?

  177. Patrick

So 1000 has now become 10. OK !

  178. Dave here is one of the people who downloaded a copy, now I’m not putting this up to highlight his analysis, just to point out that YES a ton of people did down load it and are going through it page by page.

    It is not a falsehood

    https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1326715838850764802

  179. No Colm they have over 1000, they only made 10 available to the press and public because that’s all they can provide security for.

  180. Dave here is one of the people who downloaded a copy

    So where is the manual?

  181. What happens if the college votes and one side or the other is declared victor before the SC rules on all the cases….. you’ll probably see violence erupt.

So there is the GOP strategy revealed in a sentence. Unless Biden is endorsed by the GOP SCOTUS (as if they ever would) he will not be accepted as the rightful POTUS by the vast majority of GOP voters. It’s that simple folks.

    Fort Sumpter anyone?

  182. Patrick Van Roy,

Dave here is one of the people who downloaded a copy,

but Paul why would I bother to put up anything requested by you, seamus, seimi, or dave?
..the others……. sorry except for maybe an occasional retort they’re Dead to me.

Wow! I didn’t stay dead for long.

  183. no that’s your paranoia Peter.

Unless the election is ruled legitimate by the Supreme Court which they could do you will eventually see violence from both sides, but now in the manner you think.

What is likely to happen IF and once again IF the supreme court finds sufficient fraud took place they will declare NOT who the President is, but that the Constitution be followed and it falls to a special vote in the House of Representatives.

or the worst case scenario they only rule on a few states, the ones involving the ballot stuffing, and not the software issue. If they do that then it will just default to the states. The ones with no irregularities will stand and depending on the ruling how the states with the irregularities are adjudicated that will decide if they cut the votes in some manner or toss it back to the state legislatures.

The court won’t pick the winner, they will rule how he has to be picked IF they rule the current votes in the disputed states can’t stand.

  184. Dave you are dead to me, but I talk to the dead on occasion. Unlike some here I believe in an existence other than this one.

  185. Well you certainly are on another planet sometimes Patrick 😉

  186. Unlike some here I believe in an existence other than this one.

So what? That doesn’t make you a better person, or right.

  187. The court won’t pick the winner, they will rule how he has to be picked IF they rule the current votes in the disputed states can’t stand.

    Patrick

You and Charles have made it clear for two weeks that there is only one valid outcome to this election and that’s a win for Trump. He has lost it as things stand, but if it gets to the SCOTUS we all know that he will be the winner, whatever the details of how it happens. And if it doesn’t get to the SCOTUS you and most of your party will never accept Biden as the duly elected POTUS.

    Am I right?

  188. No

    You are wrong.

I speak for no one else on this Peter, only myself. If Biden is finally certified as the Winner he WILL BE my President.

Will I think it’s fair or just… NO, but he will be the Legal President, he will lead the country. I may fear where he will lead it to, but I will not raise arms and I condemn with my loudest voice any violence.

We are Nation of Law, not of man. We follow the Law. Period. That is not just my position it is my reality.

  189. If Biden is finally certified as the Winner he WILL BE my President.

But you have made it clear that he can only be finally certified by the SCOTUS. Otherwise why all the Trumpist talk about “this ends in the Supreme Court”?

  190. That’s funny I never heard you refer to Barack Obama as your President…

  191. Obama was my President, he was also a marxist.

  192. But you have made it clear that he can only be finally certified by the SCOTUS. Otherwise why all the Trumpist talk about “this ends in the Supreme Court”?

Peter the court could very easily certify Biden.

If as you all say there is no evidence of Fraud on a level to have effected the results the court will rule in his favor.

You worry because 5 out of the 9 are conservative, but what you fail to acknowledge is exactly what that means. The whole reason for the demand of Conservative Constitutional Judges is because they FOLLOW THE LAW they do not legislate from the Bench.

If as you all say there is NO EVIDENCE or even not ENOUGH evidence, they will let the Vote stand. Bank on it.

  193. none of this is going anywhere near the supreme court
there’s nothing to merit a disputation at that level
the lower courts are dealing with it and appeals haven’t got a chance
as the cases are baseless, its a Trunk fantasy SCOTUS will rule on the election

  194. Peter, don’t lump me in there. I will admit that I’m a sore loser, but I have admitted on this thread that I was wrong about the election. Biden will be my president, however, I just don’t see myself agreeing on many of his policies.

I’m like Patrick, in that the rule of law in this country is paramount.

  195. Charles
I don’t think you have been a sore loser at all. You refused to concede that your candidate might have lost, instead waiting to see how the court appeals went. That’s a perfectly reasonable position.
Now that it is almost impossible for your candidate to win, you graciously concede. If only the current president could behave likewise.

  196. “You worry because 5 out of the 9 are conservative, but what you fail to acknowledge is exactly what that means. The whole reason for the demand of Conservative Constitutional Judges is because they FOLLOW THE LAW they do not legislate from the Bench.”

Actually six of the nine are conservative. But because one of those conservative judges is not a conservative activist you don’t identify him as a conservative. The conservative judges are conservative activist judges who legislate from the bench all the time. You just support them when the do it. Because it is all about politics and nothing to do with the law for you. You have shown overwhelmingly in the past that politics trumps the law for you.

  197. I agree Charles is not in the same boat as Patrick on this matter. Charles is a realist. Patrick still clings to the fantasy that these lawsuits will flip the electoral college result and see Trump reinaugurated on Jan 20th.

  198. I agree Charles is not in the same boat as Patrick on this matter.

Charles is not a crew member of the Ship of Fools.

  199. i’d be interested in some meat charles 😉

what policies of Biden are distateful

what fiscal polices of Trump did you like?

from what i read he’s ballsed up the whole GOP
it resembles nothing like the old GOP used to be
He’ll leave with the country in trillions more debt, a massive pandemic
a broken economy, a withdrawl from climate change, kids getting ripped from Mothers

What’s he done that you’re proud of ? I guess the Judges Appointments

    genuine questions sir

  200. Come on Kurt we all know welfare and socialism is only for rich people and corporations, any other thought is unamerican

  201. no one has won or loss yet….

  202. It’s simple Patrick. Biden won, Trump lost. Just like Hillary did in 2016 by exactly the same EC margin.

  203. We all know welfare and socialism is only for rich people and corporations, any other thought is unamerican

IIRC Charles is in favour of a government funded public health system and a strong social safety net.

The whole world knows who lost & who won Colm.

  204. Paul, yes I know , but we forget Trump is BIGGER than the whole world 😉

  205. It’s simple Patrick. Biden won, Trump lost. Just like Hillary did in 2016 by exactly the same EC margin.

    we shall see

  206. “we shall see”

We already have seen. It has already happened.

  207. MAGA – Make the Asshole go Away

  208. Charles,

“ but I have admitted on this thread that I was wrong about the election. ”

Fair play. Very rare for anyone to admit they made a mistake.

  209. Biden won by a significantly bigger popular vote than Trump, and with the same Electoral margin as Trump.

No landslide, but more of a mandate that Trump was given.

The sulking reaction of the loser will be subject of much discussion for years.

Again, it’s likely that Trump will be one of the few presidents not to attend the inauguration of his successor. It is likely that he will slink down to Mara Lago.

    “we shall see”

We already have seen. It has already happened.

but it hasn’t….. there is a process to all of this and that process has not played out.

We are a Nation of Laws, what is playing out now is the process of following Election Law.

Right now, Under the Law we do not yet have a 46th President. Not Biden, not Trump. We don’t even have a President elect.

The Legal Process is being played out, when it is done we shall have a 46th President.

Not until then, those are the facts.

  211. “Right now, Under the Law we do not yet have a 46th President. Not Biden, not Trump. We don’t even have a President elect.”

Why did you declare Trump the victor the day after the election in 2016 then? The process had not played out yet. Why such a desire to delay it now and not then?

  212. This is the equivalent of a man having his body ripped into a million pieces in a bomb explosion but because the death certificate hasn’t been signed yet we don’t actually have a dead man!

  213. It’s part of an effort to harm Biden and to punish the country’s voters.

Cult members don’t like it when their leader is turned out. This was not supposed to be a possibility.

Patrick won’t deviate one millimeter from the position taken by Trump/Hannity at any point.

  214. //Cult members don’t like it when their leader is turned out. T//

You saw all those demonstrations of support and Trumpomania outside the WH and elsewhere.

(it was really amazing to see Trump drove through the crowd to get their adulation, then as they massed around the bullet-proof car to see the guru wave from behind bullet-proof glass, he immediately drove on to a round of golf somewhere, leaving them to spend the rest of the day celebrating him and conduct a kind of Orwellian hate-session against the media. )

There are also fanatics supporting him at much higher positions. I think for a person like him, with no calm intelligence or power of reasoning, it must be very difficult to say no to them and admit defeat and become just another one-term wonder.

  215. Why did you declare Trump the victor the day after the election in 2016 then? The process had not played out yet. Why such a desire to delay it now and not then?

There were no filed objections. No one disputed the counts. No one claimed voter fraud.

  216. it must be very difficult to say no to them and admit defeat and become just another one-term wonder.

Surely you mean just another convicted criminal?

  217. convicted of what ?

  218. Tax fraud, campaign finance breeches, money-laundering and rape are just four of the possibilities.

I see that Tucker Carlson has now joiuned the ranks of the TRAITORS. No chance that he’ll get the 2024 nominationn now:

“For more than a week, a plain-spoken former federal prosecutor named Sidney Powell made the rounds on right-wing talk radio and cable news, facing little pushback as she laid out a conspiracy theory that Venezuela, Cuba and other “communist” interests had used a secret algorithm to hack into voting machines and steal millions of votes from President Trump.

She spoke mostly uninterrupted for nearly 20 minutes on Monday on the “Rush Limbaugh Show,” the No. 1 program on talk radio. Hosts like Mark Levin, who has the fourth-largest talk radio audience, and Lou Dobbs of Fox Business praised her patriotism and courage.

So it came as most unwelcome news to the president’s defenders when Tucker Carlson, host of an 8 p.m. Fox News show and a confidant of Mr. Trump, dissected Ms. Powell’s claims as unreliable and unproven.

“What Powell was describing would amount to the single greatest crime in American history,” Mr. Carlson said on Thursday night, his voice ringing with incredulity in a 10-minute monologue at the top of his show. “Millions of votes stolen in a day. Democracy destroyed. The end of our centuries-old system of government.” But, he said, when he invited Ms. Powell on his show to share her evidence, she became “angry and told us to stop contacting her.”

The response was immediate, and hostile. The president’s allies in conservative media and their legions of devoted Trump fans quickly closed ranks behind Ms. Powell and her case on behalf of the president, accusing the Fox host of betrayal…

The backlash against Mr. Carlson and Fox for daring to exert even a moment of independence underscores how little willingness exists among Republicans to challenge the president and his false narrative about the election he insists was stolen. Among conservative media voices and outlets, there’s generally not just a lack of willingness — they have proved this month to be Mr. Trump’s most reflexive defenders….”

    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/20/us/politics/Tucker-Carlson-trump.html

  219. Anyways, the coup attempt is still underway in Michigan. And Trump is still making money at the Trump Hotel in DC:

“The leaders of the Republican National Committee and the Michigan Republican Party have asked the state Board of Canvassers to delay the certification of Michigan’s election results for 14 days. The request from Ronna McDaniel, the national party chairwoman, and Laura Cox, the state chairwoman, was sent to the board on Saturday. On Monday, the board, which is split between two Republicans and two Democrats, is scheduled to meet to consider certifying the results.

And while election law experts have said that the board’s job is a perfunctory task to review the results already certified by the state’s 83 counties, Republicans and the Trump campaign have been lobbying to stop the certification. The letter came the day after President Trump met with seven Michigan lawmakers, led by the Republican leadership of the State Senate and the House of Representatives, who said afterward that they have seen nothing yet that would change the outcome in Michigan. Both Ms. McDaniel and Ms. Cox, as well as Mr. Trump, have repeatedly raised questions, without providing evidence, of widespread voting issues, especially in Wayne County and its biggest city, Detroit. There were minor discrepancies with roughly 350 ballots in the city, out of more than 250,000 votes cast.

On Saturday, multiple state legislators from Michigan were photographed departing the Trump International Hotel in Washington following a meeting with the president on Friday…”

  220. “There were no filed objections. No one disputed the counts. No one claimed voter fraud.”

So? The process hadn’t completed. Clinton still had weeks to contest the election if she wanted.

When the media called the election for a Republican you went with the media call. And when they called the election for a Democrat you went full ambulance chaser.

  221. Those legal challenges aren’t going too well for Trump amd Consigliere Crooked Rudy:

“The president’s win-loss record in court cases alleging election fraud or other irregularities now stands at 2 to 32, according to a tally maintained by Marc Elias, a Democratic election lawyer. Mr. Elias updated his score on Friday afternoon after a court in Nevada rejected a Republican effort to request a new election. Nevada went for Joseph R. Biden Jr.

Mr. Trump’s campaign keeps getting routed in case after case. Challenges keep getting tossed out by exasperated judges. Entire legal teams have quit en masse. Claims better suited to random Twitter feeds (or the president’s) have been laughed out of court after court…”

    https://www.nytimes.com/live/2020/11/21/us/joe-biden-trump?action=click&module=Spotlight&pgtype=Homepage#trump-campaign-lawsuits-are-breaking-down-with-giuliani-in-charge

  222. This is a never-ending whine. If it’s ultimately decided by law, then it’ll be “Biden appointed president by the courts”, “rule by the court, not by the people”,
to take the place of “elected by the media” etc.

  223. The Georgia secretary of state is a Republican and a Trump supporter.

Has office participated in the ratification of the state’s vote for Joe Biden, after the recount.

He followed the evidence, that Biden had won.

For this action, both GA republican US senators have asked him to resign, and he is being abused by Republicans generally.

    Fact.

Trumpism has taken America into a dangerous, anti democratic place. It won’t prevail in this effort to overrule the vote of the American people, but they have tried to do just that.

  224. Peter I watch two shows on Fox religiously Tucker and Levin. I was watching when he made his statement, I was watching again last night when he basically repeated it.

What Tucker said is true. No one has seen the evidence that Powell is talking about.

The two had an email exchange where he invited her to be on the show for the whole hour to lay out her case. She said no and they continued to discuss it. She sent him a copy of some of the proof, but told him it had to be off the record. The two began arguing at that point and the conversation ended bad.

So when Tucker went on he was pissed and it carried in his tone, but nothing he said was false and he never crossed the line by calling her a Liar. He reiterated that position last night.

I watch Tucker because he is fair, and right down the middle on most topics, he’ll stomp on anyone and he has both Republicans and Democrats on his show and he goes out of his way to get what I would consider lefty loons on to give them the chance to explain their position. He doesn’t interrupt he gives them a voice.

I will continue to watch Tucker.

  225. So? The process hadn’t completed. Clinton still had weeks to contest the election if she wanted.

But she didn’t she conceded, that was her choice and the difference.

  226. Peter just a heads up. Going by what the NYTs says is never going to inform you of anything other then the Radical Left view. They have zero objectivity.

  227. just saw this and have to share it….. LMAO Bidens Cabinet

    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EnXThbxWEA4U0Je?format=jpg&name=small

  228. What is going on here with these frivolous evidence free endless legal claims is simply a contempt for the right of the American people to choose a different President. Trump just feels the job is his because he says so and the Electorate have no right to eject him . He is being mollycoddled by hangers on who have nowhere else to go and are willing to waste Court and electoral officials time across the country with what amounts to nothing more than a massive act of ego stroking the petulant current occupant of the White House.

  229. Peter just a heads up. Going by what the NYTs says is never going to inform you of anything other then the Radical Left view. They have zero objectivity.

    Patrick

Please point out what is factually incorrect in my 7.22 or 7.32 stories from the NYT.

  230. Everything the both stories are pure spin. Information portrayed in a manner to get the reader to perceive the information from only one view.

That’s opinion, not factual reporting and that’s all they write. It’s true of every paper not just the NYTs.

Reporting is dead. It’s all opinion, and the NYTs writes great stories. Those stories however are presented entirely from a leftwing perspective to convince you that is how you should view it. You can not find objectivity in the press.

I know what the NYTs is going to say about an issue before they say it, just as I know how NRO will write about the very same set of facts entirely different and come to completely different conclusions, because that is it’s bias. So I read both.

    that’s what I’m saying.

  231. Everything the both stories are pure spin. Information portrayed in a manner to get the reader to perceive the information from only one view.

So nothing was factually incorrect, just presented in an anti-Trump manner. Trump is actually losing the legal cases by 32 – 2 and the RNC is trying to get its people in Michigan to delay for two weeks the certification due on Monday.

  232. “But she didn’t she conceded, that was her choice and the difference.”

And? The process still wasn’t over. She could have changed her mind. And The Donald has no credible reason for not conceeding. This is Republican good, Democrat bad and nothing else. There is no principle, no support for the rule of law. That is all just a fiction.

  233. and she conceded Seamus. That’s what counts more than the paperwork.

I said what two weeks ago now when one of them concedes it will be over and got lambasted because people said Trump will never concede.

He will, if they can’t prove the fraud in the court he’ll concede.

  234. So nothing was factually incorrect, just presented in an anti-Trump manner. Trump is actually losing the legal cases by 32 – 2 and the RNC is trying to get its people in Michigan to delay for two weeks the certification due on Monday.

The later is bull, the former is procedure.

All these cases are taking place in lower courts, every win every loss is appealed by both sides. You can’t just jump to the Supreme Court you have to walk the steps.

    That’s how the system works.

  235. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKhEw7nD9C4

It’s just a flesh wound, Trump has won!!! MAGA!!!

  236. “and she conceded Seamus. That’s what counts more than the paperwork.”

And so because Trump is trying to con people then everyone should go along with it? Trump has lost. He has lost by more than Clinton did. The simple fact is that the process doesn’t end with a concession. So the process was as over then as it is now. But you called it for Trump. Because the media called it for a Republican. If the media calls it for a Republican you’ll go with the media. If they call it for a Democrat it is fake news and we need to wait for the process to run its course.

At least be honest about it.

  237. The later is bull

So the RNC isn’t trying to get Michigan to postpone its certification by two weeks? This is after Trump summoned the GOP Michgan leaders to the White House on Friday to get them to do exactly that and they declined?

You can’t just jump to the Supreme Court you have to walk the steps.

But you seriously expect some of these bullshit cases to get to the Supreme Court? Really?

  238. and she conceded Seamus. That’s what counts more than the paperwork.

    LOL

We know that Trump will never condede this election. And we also know that he was never going to concede it. He made that abundantly clear many times before the campaign even started. He’ll be tweeting lies from the golf course on inauguartion day, his 999th round of golf in four years. And his lies now exceed 25,000 in that time, say 25 lies per round of golf.

Boy, has he had a busy single term or what? It’s lucky for him he didn’t get a second term, his health would have collapsed under the workload.

  239. Patrick

You must be aware that nothing in the constitution or any electoral law requires a losing opponent to concede. There is no official rule requiring a President to relinquish office. He lost the election and the winner becomes POTUS a on Jan 20th regardless of whether the incumbent concedes. It’s just good manners and a a polite convention to concede.

You claim Trump will concede if fraud is proved. I very much doubt it. Whether fraud occurred or not is irrelevant to Trump. He believes he should have won end of. Nothing else is relevant to him. He will not concede. At some point in January when he realises the game is up he will just walk away claiming “ I won the election I am the rightfully elected President but I am going to allow the loser to take office because the corrupt system wants it. I choose to walk away”. He will not admit defeat, he will claim he is leaving office.

  240. no but when publicly concedes Colm they are acknowledging they are not going to fight the results. At least not via constitutional means. What they did in 2016 was go the illegal route.

No he’ll concede if the fraud can’t be proven and parley it into control of the republican party or the start of his own news network.

  241. OK Patrick well we can only wait and see what he says in the coming weeks . Either you will be correct or I will.

  242. I think Trump is going to do a midnight flit. America is going to wake up one morning and the White House will be empty. The front door will be lying open, lights will be left on, and beds will be unmade.
The computer in the Oval Office will have its browser history amateurishly wiped, and some of the fancier decorations will be missing.
A month into Biden’s presidency, the power will be cut off, because the previous occupant didn’t pay the bill. A week after that the phones and Internet will go.
Two years into the Biden administration, WH staff will still be receiving fast food menus and offers to switch to a different broadband provider, and the budget will have been declined yet again, because of the poor credit score at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Trump will eventually be tracked down to a small trailer park in Louisiana, where he and Pence now take tourists out ‘gator hunting on a boat with a huge fan on the back. Melania will have long gone.

Donald Junior and Eric will be driving around the county, selling moonshine, like a rich poorman’s Dukes of Hazard. Ivanka will be the perfect replacement as Daisy Duke.

  243. Seimi

You forgot to mention that when Biden pulls back the bedsheets in the Presidential bedroom for the first time he will find that the last occupant has left him a giant steaming brown gift 🥺

  244. “You forgot to mention that when Biden pulls back the bedsheets in the Presidential bedroom for the first time he will find that the last occupant has left him a giant steaming brown gift 🥺”

That is largely what he is doing. He is pouring doubt on the Biden victory, not because there is any actual doubt, but to help prevent Biden being seen as acting with legitimacy. They are also denying Biden access to what is normally given to the President-elect during transition. They are trying to prevent the Biden presidency from hitting the ground running. It is an act of vandalism against their own country, eagerly cheered on by fake patriots like Troll.

rumour has it Trunk won’t come back to WH after xmas break at Mar-a-lago

  246. No he’ll concede if the fraud can’t be proven and parley it into control of the republican party or the start of his own news network.

    Patrick

He won’t concede, not ever. But the rest of that sentence is correct and he’ll go for both.

  247. He is pouring doubt on the Biden victory, not because there is any actual doubt, but to help prevent Biden being seen as acting with legitimacy.

The new president will have control of the Justice Department and Trump is shit-scared that Biden will misuse it just as much as he has misused it. This grotesque presidency will probably end with Trump giving a federal pardon to himself. But that won’t save him from state prosecutions in NYC.

And there are a lot of legal storm clouds gathering over Crooked Rudy. No wonder the shoe polish is melting on the schmuck’s head.

  248. It was really amazing to see Trump drove through the crowd to get their adulation, then as they massed around the bullet-proof car to see the guru wave from behind bullet-proof glass, he immediately drove on to a round of golf somewhere, leaving them to spend the rest of the day celebrating him and conduct a kind of Orwellian hate-session against the media.

Yes, I thought it great seeing him waving to his vassals as he drove off for a round of golf, not evening having the humility or gratitude to join those who were protesting in favor of him. The subtlety of the ‘fuck you, serfs’ was truly sublime.

I watch Tucker because he is fair, and right down the middle on most topics […]

You can not find objectivity in the press.

And Dominion software allows you to alter voting. We know this because some bloke on Twitter said he downloaded one before they all mysteriously disappeared off the internet.

Do they actually think that people will swallow this shit?

  249. Yes, they do actually think that. And as you can see from Troll’s posts and comments, he is not only actually swallowing this shit, he’s happy to spread it too.

  250. Tucker Carlson is most definitely not right down the middle on most topics. On almost every subject he broadcasts he adopts a clear unambiguous right wing conservative Republican leaning perspective. It is absurd to even suggest otherwise.
