LEAVE OF ABSENCE

By Pete Moore On January 6th, 2021

Posting might be light from me for a few days. In fact they’ve been light because of work, but that’s in the past. I suddenly have other matters to attend to now. Play nicely.

  1. That sounds pretty ominous Pete. I hope all’s well.

  2. All the best.

    Speak when you can.

  3. Yeah be safe stay well
Send me your logins , I promise to do a really good parody of you for a lil while .
    Regards Kurt 😜

  4. I hope the other matters you have to attend to are once that can be resolved happily.

    Stay safe, take care Pete

  5. Are then letting Englishmen into the US to attend the DC protests today, anyone know?

  6. Noel,
I suspect its got more to do with scotland, petem and allan preparing a safe-house for Trump
I read that somewhere on a conspiracy site, so probably true then 😉

  7. I think we should be cautious with the jokes. We don’t know what Pete might be dealing with privately. Be respectful.

  8. not really colm, get your nose out, petem didn’t say anything
he could have said – e.g a family member in trouble or something we could have addressed that

  9. He doesnt have to explain anything but carry on kurt.

  10. I’m done colm , you seem to want to carry on –

  11. kurt

Colm is quite correct. Pete didn’t mention any details, nor does he have to. Whatever is going on, he took the time to quickly post. Hopefully it’s nothing serious, but until such time as he returns, perhaps we should all hold off on any jokes.

  12. Exactly – I’m not trying to pick a fight, just suggesting we all exercise caution as we don’t know why Pete has made this announcement. If (hopefully) it is a benign albeit urgent matter we can go back to making jokes on his return but for now lets just hold off.

  13. fine, but chill guys, there’s a joke in everything – if you can find it — relax take a deep breath

  14. OK, sorry.
But in truth when I read it first it didn’t dawn on me that it was something like an illness. For some reason, I thought it related to the Rep collapse in the US today.

I always imagine Pete as a robust, healthy type.

  15. Colm, Seimi –

It’s ok, I never mind a joke, but you’re correct. I lost my father this morning. It was unexpected but mercifully swift. I’ll be with my mother as much as possible for the next few days. My brother and her grandchildren are nearby but I have to be there too.

I saw my dad via zoom at the weekend so I’m grateful to whoever invented that.

  16. Oh Christ Pete. I’m sincerely sorry for your loss.

  17. Nearly lost my mum today, thanks for sharing petem, do care about you despite all the bish bosh. Terrible news , so sorry for you loss man ! hang on in there , your mum needs you
