The Enemy Within

By Patrick Van Roy On January 16th, 2021

“I’m honored and excited to rejoin active service on @HomelandDems, where I plan to focus on highlighting and finding solutions to the scourge of white nationalist extremism,” Swalwell tweeted.

  1. Just to be clear: Rep. Swallwell, while on the Homeland Security Committee, was sleeping with a Chinese Communist Party spy who was employed as his fundraiser.

The media (of course) has done it’s best to look the other way.

Pelosi has just reappointed Swallwell to the committee.

All their talk about having to “defend the Republic from Trump” is bullshit.

This is the tip of the iceberg. Americans have spent trillions buying Chinese-made tat. The CCP has used that money to buy the universities, buy the institutions, buy the media, buy DC, and now it has literally bought the White House.

And the people who have been bought are telling us that Trump is the danger.

  2. And the people who have been bought are telling us that Trump is the danger.

Trump has been Putin’s poodle since the 2016 campaign. Putin helped Trump get elected and Trump is shit-scared that the hookers kompromat obtained against him on a visit to Moscow in 2010 will become public. That’s why Trump hasn’t said a single word against Putin in four years and took Putin’s side against his own country at the Iceland summit in 2019. And he still hasn’t said a single word about the Navalny poisoning last August. Of course that could be because he approves of it. He had no problem when the Saudis hacked Khassogi to death in Istanbul.

  3. You must be on drugs. You’re beginning to make kurt look sane.

  4. Great response Pete

  5. Peter –

The DC establishment spent years trying to make the accusation stick that Putin helped get Trump elected. They came up with nothing, not a thing.

Please stop taking ATW down these wierdo conspiratorial back alleys.

    Sir, this is a Wendy’s.

Bullshit. The DNC emails were hacked by the Russians and their staged release by Wikileaks during the 2016 campaign greatly helped Trump. He used them in speeches many times and urged on the hackers to “hack some more!”

  8. You’ll have to explain, Frank. Pop culture isn’t my thing.

  9. Bullseye, Peter

  10. I’m a bit baffled by that comment of Frank’s too !

As to the wider point and regardless of the specifics of Pete’s post about this Democrat politician, I do agree the issue of Chinese power and pressure to snuff out criticisms of its regime and behaviour by any groups, individuals or governments around the world is going to be a big challenge which should be strongly resisted no mater what financial or economic clout China attempts in its efforts.

  11. Yes Colm, China is an evil menace as I’ve posted here earlier this week. The Uighur genocide for starters, but there’s plenty more.

  12. The EU has responded by doing a major new trade deal with China

One which will decrease Biden’s leverage with China , and his ability to have a western alliance to talk with China

There has been some criticism of this deal in Europe if I understand correctly. The timing couldn’t be worse.

  13. The EU has responded by doing a major new trade deal with China

The EU is a ****ing disgrace. This was mainly Germany’s doing but shamefully this trade deal was encouraged by pre-Brexit “global” Britain. There is a chance that the EU parliament will reject the treaty but I’m not holding my breath.

Please stop taking ATW down these wierdo conspiratorial back alleys.

    Oh the irony.

  15. Absolutely, that was Germany’s doing.

Germany has a robust trade in manufactured goods with China.

So yes Germany does Nord Stream and it does this deal.

    Not good.

  16. So yes Germany does Nord Stream

The Germans need to grow a pair and cancel that pipeline. But it’s not looking hopeful. Maybe Biden will have more leverage than Merkel-hating Trump.

  17. I believe that the pipeline will be completed in a few months or so.

    It is a reality.

Trump’s open disrespect to Germany probably expedited the pipeline.

  18. no it didn’t the krauts had that deal going before Trump took office.

They don’t pay their NATO bill to protect them from Russia while pouring billions into russia for fuel…. what a crock blame Trump…

Hey Phantom do you have a time projection of when the fog of TDS will lift, or are you going to blame every problem Biden has on Trump the way you tried to blame Bush for all of Obama’s F’ups.

  19. Germany has a general election in the autumn and the likely outcome is a CDU-Green coalition. The Greens could make the pipeline a deal-breaker.

  20. Trump greatly harmed our alliances.

    No serious observer says otherwise.

  21. that would be interesting, is the pipeline a real factor in the election ?

  22. Hey if getting people to pay their bills and be fairer in tariffs damaged our relationship with any nation…… F em!

  23. Trump was right to pressure the Germans on defence spending. Their record is shameful.

I don’t know if the pipeline is an election issue yet, but it’s easy to see how it could become one. Green voters are not likely to be happy about Germany relying on fossil fuels from Russia.

  24. There is a way to negotiate well and there is a way to negotiate unsuccessfully

Trump does not know how to negotiate. He has never known what he was doing. He never was interested in learning the details of any matter.

Long term, he did much more harm than good with our Asian and Pacific alliances, with the very important soft power as well as hard power.

I don’t think that any of the non Americans would disagree with me on this, except for the wannabe Trumpers who have never once spoken in support of NATO on this site. As I believe you have never spoken in support of NATO or other alliances here, other than the one way alliance with Bibi Land.

The only country Trump has probably aided in the lost four years has been China. His walking away from TPP was an own goal than enhanced Chinese economic.power in the region. He told them to go ahead and kill the Uighurs. His botched virus response made the US an object of pity worldwide, while Xi did ultimately control it. North Korea never stopped its programs, the can was kicked down the road.

  25. you can argue all you want about germany’s defence spending but their will always be a certain unease about germany’s military spending

  26. The Germans don’t have to conquer Europe militarily anymore they already run it with the EU.
