YOUSSOUF THE BARBARIAN
By ATWadmin On April 30th, 2009Did you read that a self-proclaimed Muslim barbarian shouted his contempt for his judges yesterday at the start of his trial for the torture and murder of a young Jewish man.
Anti-Semitism has been on the rise right across Europe for years now and France has a particular problem when it comes to certain “youths” in les banlieues.
Youssouf Fofana, 28, who led a loose-knit gang of youths from an immigrant housing estate, swaggered into court and shouted “Allah will conquer” as the court began hearing a case into a killing that horrified France and the world Jewish community in 2006. Mr Fofana and most of his 26 alleged accomplices have admitted their roles in the kidnapping of Ilan Halimi, 23, an assistant in a Paris telephone shop, who was held for ransom for 24 days in the suburb of Bagneux.
Mr Fofana, whose parents came to France from Ivory Coast, denies killing the victim, who was tied up in a cellar and tortured with acid, cigarettes and knives. He died in an ambulance after Mr Fofana dumped him by a railway line and allegedly set him alight.
In a way, Youssouf the barbarian lays down the challenge. “Allah will conquer” OR “Allah will be conquered”. I am not sure there is a middle way, since the advance of Islam into the West is an existential threat to our essential liberties. The brutal slaying of this young Jewish man – and the evident PRIDE that his alleged Islamic killers feel – is an issue that most European politicians shy away from confronting since it makes their multiculti talk talk seem hollow and useless in the face of barbarism. Yet the consequences of ignoring the threat that scum such as Fofana represents are very real and terrible. Where is the voice of Muslim outrage over the likes of this murder? All I hear is silence…..

Horrible. Abduction, torture, corpses set alight, dumped: it recalls the worse excesses of the Shankill Butchers.
And yes, where are the voices of disgust from the Muslims of France? Are they afraid to open their mouths lest they be ostracized? I don’t know. What I do know is that bad things continue to happen when good men say nothing.

In fairness, the people, and the politicians, of France came out in their thousands to demonstrate against anti-semitism in response to this murder. I think around 100,000 took part in protests, including politicians as far apart as Sarkozy and Lionel Jospin, leading Catholic clergy and far-left groups – the lot.

Yes, it’s not the FRENCH people I have an issue with so much as those "youths" that reside there. Huge issue for all of Europe, of course, it’s just the details of this murder revolted me and the lack of Muslim criticism speaks volumes.

Excuse me that I offended your Unionist sensibilities but my comments very much on topic. I noted the similarities between that murder and those of the Shankill Butchers. Do you deny they exist?
You are the one going off topic by bringing in the IRA. Did they behave as the Butchers did? Did they kidnap and torture innocent Protestants at random? I don’t think so.

Odd that you didn’t tick Charles off for devoting three quarters of his comment to off-topic Northern Ireland. Could it be that the wrong sort of terrorist was involved?
Honestly.
The difference, Barry, is that Charles’s comment doesn’t interrupt the thread, whereas David is almost forced to respond to your remark about the SB, and the thread will inevitably be interrupted.
This story is IMO a bit too tragic, and the broader issue of anti-semitism a bit too important to be side-tracked into another exchange on NI.

Irish Barry’s use of the Shankill Butchers was totally valid, that group of people tortured on the basis of someones religion, just as I’m sure there are many people with stories to tell of Israeli atrocities, suffered becasue of their religion!

Forced? Are you serious?
Here’s the issue. A group of men are so indoctrinated/brainwashed by their religious cult that they believe it’s okay to choose at random a man belonging to another cult, torture him to death and dump his corpse like refuse.
Why does this happen? There are a number of possibilities:
a) the perpetrators are psychopaths, and will kill anyway
b) the cult is at fault, as it condones (or seems to condone) such barbarousness
c) our society is at fault and we need to nip such beliefs in the bud.
To imagine that such behaviour is confined to Muslims is erroneous thinking. We all belong to the same species. This can—and does—happen anywhere.
You noted that some 100,000 people turned out to protest this. That’s good. But do we know how many were Muslim?
And wouldn’t it send out the right signal if a Muslims-only protest were to take to the streets of Paris?

Where is being ethnically cleansed by Israel? It is well-known that the arab populations in gaza and the west bank are increasing so perhaps DaithiO can assist here?
We can only hope that every single person involved in this vile murder is at the very least jailed for life, but it’s virtually certain that will not happen . Justice will not prevail.
