NO HONOUR AMONGST THIEVES….
By ATWadmin On June 21st, 2009
Quite frankly, the state of democracy in the UK has fallen to an all-time low when we read how politicians are maneouvring to place a new Speaker in The Commons.
As you know, the previous incumbent, Michael Martin, was forced into standing down from the role of Speaker, the first time this has happened in centuries. Martin presided over the troughing exposed by The Telegraph and yet, even now, the fool declares himself a victim of “snobbery”. He was a victim of criminal avarice.
But tomorrow, the new Speaker will be chosen by the MP’s.
Labour want to see Conservative traitor John Bercow in the chair.
The Conservatives want to see Labour trougher and caravanner extraordinaire Margaret Beckett in the chair.
It’s all about playing triangulating GAMES. There is no honour here, no integrity, no sense of shame. These people are NOT honourable men and women and I view the lot of them with profound contempt. They don’t care about you and me – they only care for themselves. Unfit to govern, unfit to hold office – isn’t it time we had a revolution?

I fear that the wrong Speaker will be elected for the wrong reasons.
Another fine mess they will have got us into. Let’s sack the lot and start again.
snobbery that’s rich…..LOL
Given that turkeys – and there isn’t a finer example of that species than our MPs – do not vote for Christmas, I think we can rest assured that whoever gets to sit in the Speaker’s chair will prepared to continue current practices.
Does the Speaker necessarily have to have been an MP prior to taking office?
At this time a completely independent occupant, and preferrably one NOT elected by the cronies, would carry more credence, and would go some way to restoring public confidence – well, maybe…
Heh, how about an Elected Speaker? Now that’s an idea…Joanna Lumley would get the bastards in line!
