ON FATHER’S DAY
By ATWadmin On June 21st, 2009Here in the UK, today marks Father’s Day. And so it is that I find myself taken away for the weekend and treated to netbook pc and a slap up meal by my two kids! Not bad – and of course a return on my investment all those years ago!!
Since losing my own Father in 2007, I find this a day of mixed blessings. It’s poignant for me that my Dad is not around to see how his grandkids have grown up and matured. It’s also sad I have no one to visit and buy a present for. Still, I believe my father has gone to be with his Creator and is at peace and so I give thanks for that.
Hope all Dads reading this have a great day and catch up with you soon!

A tip of the hat to all the dads reading this, and to the fathers of all the sons and daughters we know.
I know how you feel David. Hope you enjoyed your day.
I lost my best friend and father in 1991. I miss him every day but I never feel he is far away.
Have a good one to one and all. Just put my offspring to bed, had a nice afternoon with the old man, and I am celebrating with sole custody of the remote control, ample beer in the fridge and a strictly non-vegan diet.
happy fathers day one and all
