chavez-iran3.jpgNo, not Jade – but the pin-up boy of the International left – Venezuelan thug Hugo CHAVEZ!

The man admired by the likes of London Mayor Ken Livingstone, endorsed by America’s worst-ever President Jimmy Carter, and a good friend to holocaust deniers like Iran’s lunatic Ahmadinejad, has decided to dispense with any vestige of democracy and rule by decree for at least 18 months Chavez says he wants "revolutionary laws" to enact sweeping political, economic and social changes. I bet. Not much of an outcry from the MSM on this, I suppose they look on – in envy.

jihad-is-the-language.jpgYou have to wonder why the Swedish Government chooses to work with the Islamic group “Ibn Rushd,” sponsoring a trip to Egypt “to highlight Islam as a Religion of Peace™,” featuring the peaceful, Jew-hating, jihad-inciting clerics of Al-Azhar University. Hans Blix. the great man himself, is a GUEST SPEAKER.

It strikes me as one more example of a western country showing wilful blindness to those hate preachers from the ROP – just as we have seen in the UK this past week in the aftermath of the Dispactches programme.

We CANNOT win a war if we deny we are even in one, for goodness sake.

hostel_203.jpgHere’s a classic for you!  A hostel in Cardiff which bans British people from staying there is being investigated under race laws. Cardiff Backpackers, in the Riverside area of the city, advertises rooms on its website as available to "foreign passport holders only". The Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) Wales has written to the hostel asking it to remove the advert! LOL- the apogee  of liberal thinking and the ultimate fulfilment of multicultis- No Brits allowed – in Britain! There’s lovely, boyo.

David has beaten me to it.  Dimwit Ahern, the Minister of FOREIGN Affairs of the FOREIGN Republic of Ireland, has called for an all-Ireland football team.  Now that Northern Ireland is ranked higher in the FIFA stakes than its neighbour I suppose Dimwit wants to utilise the success of a superior team.  He has said football on the island should emulate rugby and organise on a cross-border basis.  Let’s look at the situation with rugby in the round.

When rugby is played in Dublin the Irish Tricolour is flown and the Soldier’s Song is played.  This is irrespective of that fact that what Northern support there is for this team is overwhelmingly based purely of geography, not on constitutional affinity.  Thus, it is a grave insult for the British people who venture to Dublin to listen to an anthem and sit beneath a flag whose connotations they find grossly offensive.  When Irish rugby is played in Belfast there is no flying of the Union Flag, nor is God Save the Queen played before the commencement of the game.

Nevertheless, I’m going to call Dimwit’s bluff (no I haven’t forsaken my Unionism).  Let’s have an all-Ireland football squad on as number of non-negotiable conditions:

  1. That all football matches are held in Belfast.
  2. That only ‘God Save the Queen’ is played before matches.
  3. That only the Union Flag is flown at Windsor Park.

This would provide the necessary balance for the indignity that Northern fans of the rugby team face when they are in Dublin.  A sort of ‘Ireland of Equals’ is you like.  I wonder whether that sort of unity is what Dimwit and other adherents of his foul constitutional aspiration have in mind?

‘I have nothing but confidence in you.  And very little of that.’

Of all the cons pulled by NuLabour and its simpering allies in the MSM over the past decade, the idea that Chancellor Gordon Brown has been "Prudence incarnate" is surely one of the greatest.

Under the stewardship of Brown, public debt has risen from £352 billion to a record £504 billion. And during the first nine months of the financial year, the gap between state spending and tax receipts swelled to £39.7 billion, the highest since monthly records began in 1993, even though the tax take is soaring. We are being taxed to the gills and YET State Spending is roaring ahead. That is why some economists are suggesting that income tax may have to rise by an astronomical 5p in the £. But they’re wrong. Labour have learned that increases on Income Tax are politically damaging so far better to find new and more ingenous ways to STEAL our money.."Green Taxes" anyone???

It is obvious that Gordon Brown’s much vaunted "economic miracle" is coming apart at the seams. Earlier in the week, Government figures showed inflation rose by the most for 15 years in December, squeezing family finances and adding to pressure for higher interest rates.

THAT is why Brown swans off to India, and talks about EVERYTHING and ANYTHING other than the economic  crisis HE has wrought back home. It is also why Brown desperately seeks to parachute out of the Exchequer and into No 10 Downing Street so he can have another patsy in place when the economic balloon bursts and we all get drenched.

Any credit for keeping the UK economy in check belongs to the Bank of England – but even they cannot offset the sheer recklessness of Brown’s massive overspend in the public sector, his sustained tax attack on the Middle Income families of this country, and his pretensions over foreign aid. We’re all paying for Brown’s folly, and the bad news is that there is much worse to come. Vote Labour and you end up paying for it.

goody_pa_203.jpgAnd so, Jade Goody, that wretched chav with a big mouth and little intelligence, is voted OUT of Big Brother. Comprehensively. (82% chose to boot her out, apparently)

I caught her being interviewed afterwards (My duty to my readers!) and conclude she is just very very ignorant. She is also a bully, but not so daft as to realise her commercial star may be about to be eclipsed, so she made a series of bizarre comments basically claiming that she wouldn’t say the things that she..erm…said! Hilarious.

But still the row goes on. And still the MSM pick on Goody and her coven for their alleged racism, and ignore Jermaine Jackson’s "White trash" remark. It does strike me that the media only like to focus on SOME forms of racism. When a White person makes an offensive remark about a coloured person, that is racism. When a coloured person makes an offensive remark about a white person, that is ignored. Guilty little liberals like to be selective, you see.

Meanwhile, when Channel 4 programme broadcast another programme in which homosexuals are castigated, Jews and Christians are compared to dogs, Wife beating and child marriage is encouraged, NOT A CHEEP out of the MSM!!!! Ah – but then it was ISLAMISTS making those racist remarks – and there appears to be different set of rules for the ROP. And they bite.

Jade Goody should never have made it into the headlines. Militant Islam should. Why do you think the MSM selected one minor story and ignored the bigger one? Mmmmm…

I’d like to propose that the Republic of Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland merge their football teams to create a BRITISH ISLES team. I do this in the same caring spirit that Irish Foreign Minister Dermot Ahern has called for a United Irish football team. After all, the footballing talent across the islands is greater than any individual part, and it would ensure that Irish players have some sort of chance of getting to the next World Cup. What do you think? Time for Mr Ahern to think more broadly, time to move on from petty nationalist dreaming…

795151-639531-thumbnail.jpgIt’s funny how the UK MSM continues to cheer-lead for John McCain to get the Republican nomination for the 2008 Presidential election! Particularly when the latest poll shows RUDY GIULIANA with a clear lead according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports.

28 per cent of respondents would support the former New York City mayor in a 2008 primary. Arizona senator John McCain is second with 20 per cent, followed by former House of Representatives speaker Newt Gingrich with 14 per cent, and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney with eight per cent.

Now one can take a view that there is still plenty of time for things to change, and who can guess what else might happen to influence the outcome, but SURELY the refusal of the UK MSM to accept that the blessed McCain is NOT the only contender speaks volumes for their own inherent liberal bias?
