One of the more nauseating features of the Virginia Tech massacre was all the posturing by UK liberals on the issue of gun ownership in the USA. Time after time I heard the pious warbling of those who characterised the right to bear arms in the States as the mark of an uncivilised society, By way of contrast, the UK with its draconian firearms laws was held up as a beacon of modern enlightenment. Comes the news that UK Police are carrying out door-to-door inquiries to try to find the masked gunmen who murdered a father-of-six in a Leeds take-away shop. Rohan Anthony Kingston Ricketts was shot in the Shahjahan Indian take-away in Roundhay Road, Harehills. Four or five shots were fired. The gunmen are believed to have been carrying two handguns between them.  Someone forgot to tell them that this was illegal. Time to ban Indian Restaurants?

Islamic Tolerance Strikes Again!

By ATWadmin On April 22nd, 2007 at 8:49 pm

In the past, I’ve written (elsewhere) about the Islamic persecution of Iraq’s Mandaeans, and over at Christianophobia Watch we regularly cover the large-scale persecution of Iraqi Christians. Jews were almost entirely driven out of Iraq, and most of the Arab world, after the establishment of Israel in 1948, although for some reason you don’t hear assorted worthies lining up to call for their "right of return" to be recognised.

Really, being a religious minority in Iraq is a lot like being caught up in a giant version of that favourite game of children and drunken teenagers, Spin the Bottle. When the bottle points to you, it’s your turn to get lynched!

Now, the Muslims have once again spun that bottle, and this time, it’s pointed itself at the Yazidis:

Unidentified gunmen have killed 23 people in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, police said.

All the victims were said to be members of the Yazidi religious minority which follows a pre-Islamic religion and worships an angel figure.

Police said the victims had been dragged from a bus and shot dead. Followers of other faiths were reportedly left unharmed by the gunmen.

As with the Mandaeans, the Yazidis are another group that I’d never heard of until today. It’s interesting how many groups I only find out about when the Muslims start to exterminate them.

Legends In Their Own Narcissism

By ATWadmin On April 22nd, 2007 at 8:46 pm

I see that my decision to stop respondents posting has caused a little controversy in certain ranks.  I feel, therefore, I should make it clear that my decision had nothing whatsoever to do with Ulster affairs, and everything to do with ridding myself of the dross who set themselves up as considered commentators.  As I said last night, every moment of life is precious, so why should I waste time having to justify my opinions and beliefs with people who aren’t fit to lick my boots.  It was brought to my attention that commentators on another site (the owner is well aware of which site I mean) have been spewing forth banal tripe.  I hope the following comments give more seasoned and intelligent readers a clear idea on why I decided to permanently disable readers’ comments here:

‘Mad Mc Cann and Crazy Dave, lick my balls! lol’

How the fuck was my name left off the alpha-scum and Provo-adoring lists. The cunt, I’ve done more to deserve it than most.

That’s it nobody better reply to this post *sound of toys falling from pram*’

I told him to grow up and face facts that men fight when they don’t or can’t talk, so stop belly-aching about the IRA.
Very gutless aren’t they?

Policing Priorities

By ATWadmin On April 22nd, 2007 at 5:38 pm

Remember how the police had time to send two officers to interrogate a ten year old for using the word ‘gay’? Or how they arrested a white schoolgirl for complaining when she was assigned to work with a group of Asians, only one of whom spoke English? But how they didn’t bother to do anything when a BNP activist was assaulted by a gang of thugs? And how they paid absolutely no attention to the complaints of Maureen and Alex Cochrane, who were subjected to a campaign of harassment by a worthless family of low-life scum, by whom they were subsequently murdered? How we all applauded the efficient and appropriate use the police were making of taxpayers’ money, in investigating the crimes that really matter. Well, I now present to your, dear readers, the latest demonstration of how well-organised the police are, and of just how accurately they have arranged their priorities:

When Jason Brown returned home to find he had been the victim of a burglary he was somewhat relieved to learn that a neighbour had caught one of the culprits in the act.

But instead of the police arriving to carry out what could have been a significant arrest he had no choice but to let him go after officers insisted they would be unavailable for two hours.

They apologised but claimed that due to manpower issues they were unable to attend until a shift changeover at 10pm – despite being less than 100 yards away from the incident.

Mr Brown’s brave neighbour, who overpowered the young thug in a bid to prevent him from escaping, was informed by a police operator after calling for help:

"Sorry, but we’re too busy to come out and arrest him."

Last night, Mr Brown, a 34-year-old taxi driver who had returned from visiting his poorly daughter in Great Ormond Street, described the treatment he and his neighbour received as "shameful".

But not, sadly, surprising.

He said: "The whole affair beggars belief. My neighbour caught them red-handed and had one of them by the scruff of the neck but the police said they didn’t have anyone to come out and help.

"My neighbour said: ‘What are you on about? I’ve got the culprit here now, what am I supposed to do with him?". The police said they didn’t know so he had to let him go. He had no choice.

"What was he going to do? Make him a cup of tea until the police came to take him away for heaven’s sake."

Mr Brown added: "What’s really annoyed me is those toerags think they’ve got away with it and will probably go and do the same again. They even tried to break into the shop next door so they’re obviously not new to this game.

"The police had a golden chance to catch them and missed. What happens now if next time they have a knife and someone isn’t so lucky?"

Exactly. The police are quite prepared to put ordinary members of the public at risk in this manner, but at the same time, if a few law-abiding citizens took the quite reasonable step of giving the criminals a good thrashing, the police would be all over them in a matter of minutes. Just ask Linda Walker.

It is interesting, isn’t it, that the police never seem to have an officer available to deal with real crime (i.e. that perpetrated by habitual criminals against people who’ve never amassed so much as a speeding ticket in their life), but always seem to be able to find one to deal with a law-abiding citizen who does anything to resist the criminals. Or, of course, anyone who says ‘gay’.

Sky News has the best run down of candidates and a good illustration of the enviable wealth of choice in French democracy. They still moan there isn’t enough! (A cursory glance towards the US and UK should invite a re think). At any rate Belga News Agency is reporting that Nicolas Sarkozy and Segolene Royal will be in the presidential run-off. This is unconfirmed til 7pm when the media black out is lifted eg until the last polling stations close. As of 5pm today turnout was 73.87%, 15 points higher than 2002. The record for voter turnout was 85% in 1965.

still playing irans propaganda game

By ATWadmin On April 22nd, 2007 at 11:38 am

British and US MSM/Blogosphere & Iranian Press agency images – the above image was

mostly cropped to focus on the crew on the left.

As seen in Iranian press – above Farsi news agency.. Below: The reluctant lot at the end on the right unsuccessfully cajoled by an Iranian press agent. britonnowavepc4.jpg

The result was the mostly cropped TOP image above appearing in the MSM in the West ….and Iran…

"THIS is what the Persian MSM (enemy) and US MSM (traitors) wanted you to see" says one comment on Free Republic.  who posted these new images…."This is what the wide angle showed, as Persian Islamonazi’s handlers tried to coerce a few less docile Royal Marines, to try to get them to act like the other waving Press-hungry half-wits". "Did your traitorous MSM ever show the full picture, or did they hide it for their Persian Masters?  And which group of Brits did the treasonous MSM play up?".

It isnt just the MSM….Since when did the blogosphere mirror the MSM? I thought the idea was to undermine the propaganda.  Im just watching a Sky News (Fox News) programme on US army deserters, running into Canada to avoid fighting in Iraq.  I can guarantee that will be roundly condemned as traitorous by the right wing blogosphere.

Just to say that I hope that Nicolas Sarkozy wins whe the French people vote in the French presidential elections today. I don’t agree with everything that he says but on a simple rule of thumb, if the UK media is against him, then he can’t be that bad! France needs to embrace change and Sarkozy offers the best chance of this. He seems pro-American, and for that alone he is to be welcomed. He also seems to appreciate the dangers of militant Islam – I guess he won’t capture too many votes in the banlieus. My opinion is that his Socialist rival, Ségolène Royal, is the UK media’s favourite (What a surprise that is, eh?) and they want her to win. Sarkozy however appears to be a man of some substance and therefore a man who offers France a chance to move forward rather than languishing in a  Chirac backwater. Hope the vote goes the RIGHT way.

795151-783684-thumbnail.jpgWhat can you say? British sailor and Iranian hostage Arthur Batchelor’s admission that he cried himself to sleep after his captors likened him to Mr Bean and stole his iPod was scorned as a national embarrassment. Rightly so.

Yet just days after a barrage of criticism for selling his story for a five figure sum, he reveals just how little he has learned from the whole debacle. This picture shows him staging a tasteless re-enactment of his 13 days in captivity as he celebrates his home-coming in a Plymouth nightclub. He laughs as he pretends to be held at gunpoint, his ordeal – and his fellow servicemen’s vitriolic response to his behaviour – seemingly a long way from his mind. Had the Navy any vestige of respect it would boot this pathetic runt out of the service. The fact that Batchelor is to return to HMS Cornwall is shameful.

corrigan_203.jpgI was pleased to read that a "Peace Laureate" has been SHOT. What, I hear you say? I mean, how uncharitable and mean-spirited is that? And you claiming to be a Christian and all that!

Well, relax -first off, she’s not dead. Just wounded.

Second, she specifically put herself in a place where injury was likely to happen to her.

I refer to Nobel prize winner and …ahem.."peace activist" Mairead Corrigan who has been hit in the leg by a plastic bullet and injured in whilst in Gaza. The Northern Ireland woman is also said to have inhaled "a considerable amount of tear gas". Looking at her face, I reckon she’s also consumed a vast amount of calories. She was injured during a confrontation between Israeli security forces and Palestinians protesting against a security barrier between Israel and the Gaza Strip aimed at stopping suicide bombers. Our Mairead loves to show her solidarity with those Jihad-loving Jew-killing Palestinians and demonstrates her own gross (choose which is most apt) ignorance/stupidity/wilful malevolence when she adds..

"What will prevent attacks and violence is a peace agreement between the two peoples, and I am sure the Israeli people, like the Palestinian people, want peace."

Note the way she implies there is some question over where Israelis "want peace" whereas it is certain the Palestinians do. That’s the Palestinians who honour suicide bombers, who danced in delight when the Twin Towers came down, and who have proven themselves unworthy of having any such thing as "a state" Mairead, like the rest of the international left, wants to export Northern Ireland peace processing around the world. The essence of this is to compromise with EVIL, to buy off TERRORISTS and to BETRAY the victims of terror. Mairead is a moral disgrace. just another useful fool. I have no time for these clowns who portray themselves as "peace activists" whilst always lining up with terrorists and Jihadi. If Corrigan has ANY principles, she would be protesting against the culture of death that the Palestinians pledge loyalty to, she would be demonstrating against a Palestinian society which votes for killers like Hamas, but then again, what chance that from a moral bankrupt?

Another Challenge

As politely, concisely and clearly as possible, define ‘anti-semitism’ in the sense of it affecting Jews (I am well aware that some Arabs can semantically be considered Semitic as well). To coin Andrew’s phrase:
