795151-541421-thumbnail.jpgDick Cheney apart, Donald Rumsfeld has been my favourite Republican. Straight-talking, bold thinking, he’s been an inspiration. And demonised for it by the gutless MSM.

I think Rummy has been a terrific Secretary of Defense, he has held the line in the face of years of MSM onslaught against him, and I am saddened that to read that he has decided to step down from Office. I feel that Bush has side-lined him in recent years and as Condi’s star and influence have risen, Rumsfeld’s have faded. This is bad news.

I salute Donald Rumsfeld, put on record my admiration for the professonal way he has conducted himself over the years as Sec Defense, and wish him well. It seems that Rummy has become one of the firsT casualties following the outcome of these Mid-term elections. He won’t be the last. Moonbats can celebrate today – but as I have written previously, Jihadistan is also celebrating…and preparing.

I read an excellent book about Rumsfeld’s life, written by Midge Decter. There is a stirring quote on the back by Churchill which I think sums ups Rumsfeld..

Rumsfeld was one of the most courageous Americans to hold office. He’s a great loss.

Q: When is jail better than freedom?

By ATWadmin On November 8th, 2006 at 4:43 pm

roque.jpgA: When you are a dissident in Castro’s Cuba. Economist Martha Beatriz Roque was sentenced to 20 years in jail in 2003 for “subversion” – i.e. calling for democracy, but was released early due to poor health. She has told the authorities she’d rather be back in jail, where at least she would be left in peace, than face the constant barrage of insults, abuse and threats from Castro’s henchmen.

Back in April the 61-year-old was assaulted in her home, punched and dragged across the floor. Threatening notes are constantly pushed under her door. Communist agents have been installed as her neighbours, and have hung a huge picture of the dictator outside her door to remind her that Big Brother is watching, but unlike many of her fellow dissidents, this brave woman will not be scared into silence.

This is the true picture of Cuba. Politicians from democratic countries who turn a blind eye to the misery and oppression of Fidel’s Police State cover themselves in shame and should not be forgiven.

The new House Speaker pelosi.bmpNancy Pelosi has been hailed on the BBC today as "the most powerful Democrat in the USA." Now who am I to argue with that…but I thought YOU might like to hear some of Nancy’s opinions as they provide some insight into this ..ahem..remarkable woman.

"The War on Terror is the war in Afghanistan."   October 2006)

Her view on Guantanomo? She wants to close it! Not sure where she wants the Jihadi to go – San Francisco?

"I think that we need a fresh start…a clean slate for America in the Muslim world.”

Her views on Islam in America?

"We share a fundamental principle – the belief that diversity is the backbone of our communities. Generations of Muslims have made positive contributions in every aspect of American life. We must now work even more closely to navigate through the challenges we face as a nation. Since September 11th, many Muslim Americans have been subjected to searches at airports and other locations based upon their religion and national origin, without any credible information linking individuals to criminal conduct. Racial and religious profiling is fundamentally un-American and we must make it illegal…."

And then on the democratically elected GOP control of House and Senate..

We’re going to take back the country for the American people  because it has been held hostage by the radical right wing of the Republican Party. This is a freak show, and it has to come to an end.."

I think the freak show is just beginning.

Her plan for Iraq?

She supported John Murtha’s "Out in 6 months plan". Yeah, that’ll show America means business.

This is just a taster of the received wisdom of Ms Pelosi and the frivilous fraternity who have foolishly elevated her to high office. Watch the fun develop…

So much happening today, so little time to cover it!

I was disgusted with the BBC coverage of the incident involving Israeli tank fire shelling in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun.

It was a complete set up.

First, the BBC reporter proclaimed the viciousness of the Israeli attack as if it were a premeditated act of mass murder. Then the BBC interviewed an Israeli Military Officer who stated that the incident was under investigation and that she could say little more than that until she had all the facts. She apologised for the loss of any innocent life, and to my mind, she spoke sensitively and fairly. Last word was given to a Hamas Jihadist who basically accused Israel of targeting innocent Palestinians.

To get a flavour of the Hamas position on all of this…

"Israel should be wiped from the face of the Earth. It is an animal state that recognises no human worth. It is a cancer that should be eradicated," said Ghazi Hamad, a spokesman for the Hamas-led government.

At no point did the BBC make clear that Palestinians have been relentlessly firing Qassam rockets into Israel with the sole purpose of taking Jewish life. At no point did the BBC make reference to the fact that Hamas are TERRORISTS. The only direction of BBC fire was at Israel. In essence, the BBC and the rest of the rotten liberal cabal, deny Israel the right to defend itself. They would much prefer that Israel allows the Palis to murder and maim indiscriminately – with no fear of consequences.

hamasvictory.jpgMy view on all of this is that I am sorry for lost innocent lives – but Palestinians who vote murdering scum like Hamas into power and who give shelter and succour to them, who alow themselves to be used as human shields by them – are not innocent, But the Jew-haters are too enraged to accept this. Instead they cloak themselves in the faux outrage of a Hamas government that openly compares Jews to animals.

Give these people a STATE?????

cuffsthree.jpegEveryone knows that politics, especially Election-time politics, can run out quite expensive! From the constant demands for updated ‘polling’ information, whether it is ‘how the Party is performing in the Public’s viewpoint’, or "are they listening to what we are saying," or even "do they think we are a set of lying tossers?"; the queries keep piling up, and they all cost money to both compile and answer. Through the calls for faster helicopters and little jets, so as to keep your appointments with constituencies throughout ther country, and the costs of all the expensive advisors on T.V.,  or P.R., keep the Party wallet rather thin!

So what do squeaky-clean NuLabour (Tories too apparently) do while avoiding the messy but legal requirement for revealing all donations? Why they arrange for loans, BIG LOANS! Why; because if the money theoretically has to be paid back, there’s is no legal need for disclosure; they don’t really need to tell anyone, even the Treasurer of their own Party! True, for every favour handed out, there is a favour to be repaid, but if you are the Prime Minister, there’s patronage aplenty! From seats on QUANGO’S  through the invitations to dinner with the great and the good, it’s all there. but the icing on the cake, of course, is the entrance ticket to the best club in London; yup, the HOUSE OF LORDS! What’s more, it all seems legal, because seats are always held for Party Supporters, so that’s O.K. then? So why not kill two birds with one rock, and keep the Party flowing, and the Donors sweet?

No Worries!

Nothing to declare, Sir?

Are you quite sure, Sir?

bonovertigoPA.jpgDid you see that Saint Bono, on the opening night of U2’s Australian tour, has taken time out from saving the planet and ending poverty in Africa, to demand the release of an Australian terror suspect interned at Guantanamo Bay?

David Hicks, is charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit war crimes and aiding the enemy. It is worth remembering that Hicks was a professional Islamic holy warrior who fought for two jihadist movements that spurn every tenet of civilised warfare. And he was captured in an active combat theatre while bearing arms.

Being a good liberal, Bono nonetheless believes Hicks is innocent. And Bono’s friends in Amnesty International believe Hicks cannot get a fair trial anyway. Isn’t it wonderful to see such warm humanitarians as Bono and the Amnesty gang doing their level best to get every captured Jihadist released from prison….. It’s almost as if they feel they have more in common with our enemies, isn’t it?

795151-540816-thumbnail.jpgI see that September 10th people prevailed in the US mid-term elections yesterday.

The Democrats have won control of House and we still await the final results for Senate, but the Dem’s look strong enought there too. This is a return to the time before 9/11 – that era of frivolity- and there will be consequences, with the Jihad MSM loudly proclaiming the "War in Iraq" was a key factor in GOP downfall. Is it too late to save Saddam, I wonder? Can we ask Hillary to put in a request for clemency before it’s too late?

795151-540821-thumbnail.jpgNancy Pelosi will become Leader of House. Here are a few of her pronouncements for your consideration..

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."

and then…after the Republican Party actually DID something about Saddam….

"The president led us into the Iraq war on the basis of unproven assertions without evidence; he embraced a radical doctrine of pre-emptive war unprecedented in our history; and he failed to build a true international coalition. "

I am disappointed that the Defeaticrats have prevailed – as they offer NOTHING. They are void of ideas other than bashing Bush for two more years. I am disappointed that too may Americans have forgotten the lessons of 9/11. I suggest a reminder will be coming their way from a freshly invigorated Islamistan.

But Bush is not beyond criticism here. The past few years have been nothing short of uninspiring. He has favoured Condi and US State, whilst sidelining Rummy and the more robust approach of Cheney. He has been hopeless at dealing with illegal immigration. He has failed to follow Conservative principles in too many areas. And there has been too much corruption in his administration, though you have to seriously wonder if the Dem’s are whiter than white. (See Nancy Pelosi’s endorsement of Alcee Hastings for the position of Chairmanship of the Intelligence Committee. The Democratic House voted to impeach Hastings from his federal judgeship in 1988 for conspiring to extract a $150,000 bribe from convicted criminals in return for lowering their sentences. Now that is all forgotten and he is to hold this key job!)

America is still at war today with the Islamofascists just as it was yesterday. Nothing has changed in that regard. But today, a white flag has been hoisted up the mast-pole and we will watch the response from those who sit in caves and plan our annihilation. Do you think THEY also will celebrate this morning?

The GOP has two years to revive itself, to awaken from the slumber of recent years. I trust that it will find the imagination, the courage and the resolve to win back support that has drained away. The further we get from 9/11, the stronger the siren voices of those who live in 10th Septemberland become. But follow them – and you will crash on the rocks, or something worse….

In the Nick of Time

By ATWadmin On November 7th, 2006 at 10:45 pm

I have scant time for Nick Griffin or the BNP.  The party looks like a collection of football terrace thugs with all the social graces of a potty.  On the other hand, you’ve got to express disgust at the total double-standards of our judiciary.  Griffin tells a crowd of supporters in my neighbouring town of Keighley that Islam is a ‘wicked, vicious faith’; a sentiment millions of people across the UK (including myself) would largely agree with after the hiatus of the last few years.  The meeting was a private one, away from the public gaze.  But for the pig-headed curiosity of a Lefty ‘do-gooder’, Griffin would not now be facing charges at Leeds Crown Court for incitement.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, incitement!!  Remember when New Labour brought forth laws to deal with incitement?  Yet in all that time how many hate-preaching Islamists, who practice an infinitely greater concept of the term than Griffin could ever dream of, have been prosecuted or deported?  As far as deportation is concerned the answer is zero.  How many of Allah’s little helpers, demonstrating in London calling for those who insult Islam to be beheaded, have been tried and convicted?  You guessed it – sweet FA!!  The judiciary is much more preoccupied with the relatively benign rantings of a thuggist cult than the real and present danger posed by Islamic fundamentalists.  The next time I see the Royal Insignia I must look for the words, ‘Allah et mon droit’.

What’s in a Name

By ATWadmin On November 7th, 2006 at 10:24 pm

Considering the bland names the big-wigs at the NIO have created to give substance to the proposed seven new councils for Northern Ireland, the titular abilities of those credited with giving the name ‘euro’ to the EU single currency are positively glowing by comparison.  I have thought of my own names for the seven councils.  If you have any ideas let’s see them.

Proposed Name                          My Suggestion

Belfast                                         Royal Borough of Belfast

Inner East                                    Two Loughs District Council

South                                           Bannside & Mournes District Council

North East                                    Causeway & Glens District Council

North West                                   Glenshane District Council

East                                             East Down District Council

West                                            South Sperrin & Lakeland District Council
