Today sees the DUP/Sinn Fein axis push their fraudulent budget one stage further;

A final budget package is to be presented to a special session of the Assembly later. Executive ministers agreed the budget on Thursday night, although UUP and SDLP ministers voted against it. It is understood an extra £120m has been allocated to health over the next four years, and £150m extra to education. The Employment and Learning Department, which is responsible for higher education, is due to get an extra £50m.However, £70m is being cut from the Social Development Department.

This is farcical. DUP/Sinn Fein know that this budget is riddled with contradiction but they also know we are 8 weeks away from an Assembly election and so it is that they – along with their Alliance puppets –  take the opportunity to cynically ram through a piecemeal uncosted budget which will cause ruin over the next four years. The budget does not add up, the budget has been slammed by prominent economists such as John Simpson, and yet the Budget WILL go through such is the dysfunctional nature of the model of government we have.
