Seems I am now in the MAJORITY…

Public support for the welfare state has fallen to record lows, according to a Government-sponsored research report. The popularity of the taxpayer-supported safety net for the unemployed and the sick has plunged amid growing fears that millions are cheating the benefit system, it found. Nearly two thirds of the population, 62 per cent, think unemployment benefits are too high and discourage work, the British Social Attitudes survey said.

Welfarism is a cancer that destroys all it touches. Under Labour, this awful “something for nothing” culture blossomed and it has become transgenerational. When I am on the media, and I point out that “Generation Sloth” needs to be sorted out, I get mixed responses. Naturally all who herald Government as the source of all solutions damn me. They see nothing wrong in principle or practise with rewarding the lazy by taking cash from the hard working and politicians all remember that if you rob Peter to pay Paul, you can rely on Paul’s vote. THAT is the problem, of course. Creating a client base reliant on political largesse can ensure that you stay in power even as the economy crumbles and transgenerational indolence becomes institutionalised.

I read that” big families” claiming tens of thousands of pounds a year in welfare payments could escape the Government’s new ‘benefits cap’ for years under plans being considered by ministers.

Liberal Democrat sources said ‘transitional arrangements’ would provide extra cash to soften the impact of the flagship policy, which aims to cap the benefits a family can claim at £26,000 a year. A senior source said Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg was signed up to the benefits cap ‘going forward’ and was happy for it to apply to new claimants. But there is ‘an issue around large families already living in properties in London and the South East’, the source added.

Now, most of us know that it is very expensive to live in London and the South East of England so that begs the question who exactly are these “large families” in this area who seem determined to boost our population even though it seems economically impossible. Here’s a thought – might they be Islamic families perchance and if so, WHY do Lib-Dems seem determined to secure benefits for them at all costs? It is perfectly obvious that the liberal injection into Government is disastrous for our country and ensures that any vestige of authentic Conservatism is erased.
