Now begins the real Cuban Revolution:

Cuba has announced radical plans to lay off huge numbers of state employees, to help revive the communist country’s struggling economy.

The Cuban labour federation said more than a million workers would lose their jobs – half of them by March next year.

And get this, the country has only 5.1 million employees to begin with. If Cameron had the balls and good sense to follow likewise, he’d shut down government tomorrow!

President Raul Castro outlined some of the changes in a speech in August, saying the state’s role in the economy had to be reduced.

“We have to end forever the notion that Cuba is the only country in the world where you can live without working,” he said.

Clearly he’s never been to Britain. There’s a particular joy in all this, that yet another country which has been brought so low has (finally) no option but to throw off the evil ideology which has always and everywhere led to misery, pain and despair.

I wish the Cuban people well and sincerely hope they one day bring to justice the criminals who robbed their lives and imprisoned an entire nation.

Talk about pulling the rug out from under the Brothers at the TUC Conference. Just when they thought it was 1926 again Comrade Fidel comes over all capitalist!

Gosh, the multiculties must be proud. Where are we here: Jo’Burg? Kinshasa? Ouagadougou?

Nope, we’re in Italy. Really, that photograph was taken in Italy, where “African migrant workers armed with rocks and metal poles fought pitch battles with locals in a protest over appalling living conditions and alleged racism.”

That Marxist social goal always was demented, wasn’t it?

Splendid, eh?

Up to two years in jail await anyone glorifying communism according to an amendment to Article 256 of the Polish criminal code — the race-hate article — which is likely to come into force next year. The ban outlaws “the production, distribution, sale or possession … in print, recordings or other means of fascist, communist or other symbols of totalitarianism” […]

The revised Bill has already passed the Polish Senate. President Kaczynski has to sign it into law by Monday and no one in Warsaw seriously believes that he will hesitate.

His twin brother, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, head of the opposition Law and Justice party, has made his view clear: “No symbol of communism has a right to exist in Poland because these are symbols of a genocidal system that should be compared to Nazism.”

Well, not quite so splendid because States shouldn’t be in the business of outlawing free speech. However, the Poles know the true place of communism and that they put it on the same ideological and moral footing as Nazism certainly is splendid.

WHILE everyone’s looking at the BNP, the Stalinist Jack Straw* is slipping the idea of secret courts – which he was forced to drop previously – covertly into Bills. Hidden away, he hopes, ministers will have the power to order secret inquests into controversial deaths.

How very foreign, alien and New Labour.

But don’t vote BNP, you hear? That wouldn’t be nice.

UK Foreign Secretary Jack Straw sent an extraordinary letter to the Independent newspaper on November 16. It was in reply to an article by Robert Fisk the previous Saturday. In a description of Yassir Arafat’s funeral, Fisk had disparagingly referred to Straw, who attended on behalf of the British government, as a former Trotskyist or “an old Trot.”

Straw responded to Fisk’s factually incorrect aside like a man accused of a heinous crime, stating that to call him a Trotskyist was “a malicious libel.” Far from being a former Trotskyist, Straw indicated that his political sympathies and training could be traced back to Stalinism. Link

THE rabble’s out (sorry, the anti-fascist rabble’s out), storming BBC HQ and causing a rumpus ahead of Nasty Nick’s (boo hiss) appearance on Question Time tonight.

Say’s the BBC:

Anti-fascist protesters broke into BBC Television centre ahead of British National Party leader Nick Griffin’s appearance on Question Time.

Reports the Telegraph:

Anti-fascist protesters demonstrating against BNP leader Nick Griffin’s appearance on Question Time have broken through a police cordon outside BBC Television Centre.

Well, since the rabble may not agree with what you say and will resort to threats, intimidation, violence and storming the national broadcaster to prevent you saying it, one thing they most aren’t is anti-fascist

THE estimable Lord Monckton – always a good egg – spoke in st Paul, Mn. recently on the upcoming Copenhagen Treaty and its consequences. The aim of the treaty is one world government, he claims, with a great redistribution of wealth from the West to the third world:

The document he refers to is possibly this one which outlines how poor nations (more likely, the wealthy kleptocrats in charge of them) will be compensated for a loss of “dignity”. Oh please.

However Monckton’s doing on the details and whatever comes out of Copenhagen, shouldn’t any treaty which imposes a single regulation on us or costs our economy a single Pound be debated, clause by clause, in Parliament, Congress and other national legislatures?

MI5 And A Sense Of Priorities

By ATWadmin On October 3rd, 2009 at 2:11 pm

How heartening to see not all of our tax money is wasted:

MI5 held a secret file on Harold Wilson throughout the time he was Labour Prime Minister, The Times can reveal ….. Wilson’s MI5 file was opened in 1945 when he became an MP and remained one of the Security Service’s most closely kept secrets throughout his premierships, 1964-1970 and 1974-1976.

Good. A suspected communist like Harold Wilson should be under the eye of MI5. Most Labour MPs are Fabians and former (and not-so-former) commies.

I hope the spooks have a file on all of them.

Karl Marx: The Ancestor Of Modern Political Genocide

By ATWadmin On August 20th, 2009 at 5:20 pm

LIFTED from a thread below. Don’t blame me, blame the New York Times, whose book reviewer declares that Karl Marx is “back in vogue”.

The book in question, written by a Guardian columnist (well you could knock me down) intends “first to show us the human Engel, portraying him as gregarious and bighearted.” No better time to discover, therefore, the evil reality of those who are back in vogue and their gregarious, bighearted friends.

Below is an extract from a film with which you may not be familiar. It is “The Soviet Story”, a magnificent and compelling documentary which details the common Marxist roots of the NAZI and Soviet regimes and their close alliance prior to 1941 –

Neo-NAZI and fascist sympathisers tend (righty) to be treated with contempt and abuse. The meta-context in which this happens is one which Marxists, both cultural and actual, have done much to foment. History and justice demands this contempt and abuse to be turned also on those who put themselves shamelessly in the Marxist tradition.

Time To Strike Down The RMT

By ATWadmin On June 10th, 2009 at 5:23 pm

LONDON is in the middle of a 48 hour tube strike, called by the RMT (National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers). Today and tomorrow hundreds of thousands of people will not make it to work. The cost to British commerce will be hundreds of millions of Pounds.

London Mayor Boris Johnson, as helpful as any government apparatchik can be, declined to suspend the toll charge for drivers going in to London. England play Andorra this evening at Wembley Stadium in the north west London suburbs. Overground rail companies, living up to Britain’s reputation for selfless public service, have announced their trains will not be be stopping at stations serving Wembley. The Football Association has announced refunds for fans who cannot make the match.

RMT leader Bob Crow (not as intelligent as he looks) called the strike on behalf of his poverty stricken workers. The drivers, for example, have to get by on a mere £40,000 pa. For pushing a lever. Some of them don’t even do that; Victoria Line and Central Line trains are automatic with the drivers expending their labour on operating the doors.

This is not good enough, particularly since the communist Bob Crow, I suspect, is limbering up for a spectacular when the 2012 Olympics roll round. Famously, Ronald Reagan sacked thousands of air traffic controllers who went on strike in (IIRC) 1981. I do not claim that workers have no right to withdraw their labour, but in a time of recession with almost zero percent price inflation, an unskilled worker on a wage close to twice the national average has no mitigation – none at all.

The Mayor must learn from the example of Ronald Reagan and the great union buster Margaret Thatcher. Time to start handing the boys their cards.

Crazy Dictator In Election Win Shocka

By ATWadmin On April 9th, 2009 at 6:20 pm

SO Kim Jong-il gets the gig again, re-elected leader of North Korea by the country’s ‘parliament’. The BBC brings us pictures of the happy occasion:

There’s party boy, on the left Left there in June 2008, and again today on the right at his re-election (“such a surprise”).

Not looking well, is he? Let’s hope it’s nothing … trivial.
