A 64 year old widow will probably soon discover how the State can treat the innocent without mercy.

A pensioner is facing jail after a burglar broke into her home and stole a gun owned by her late husband without a permit.

Kathleen Woodward, 64, reported the loss of the vintage pistol after her home was ransacked by a thief who escaped with the gun along with other stolen property. But while he ended up being jailed for just six months, Mrs Woodward could be sentenced to five years for possession of the firearm.

The Telegraph points out that the Firearms Act specifies a minimum fear year stretch for such an offence. I fear that Kathleen Woodward is about to be done to the full extent of this putrid ‘law’. But should she be prosecuted? Of course not. There is no suggestion that she’s a danger to anyone else. She hasn’t harmed anyone and there’s no fear that she will harm anyone. Despite what Parliament said, the Crown Prosecution Service does not have to prosecute. It must satisfy itself first that a prosecution would be in the public interest. Because Kathleen Woodward was not and is not a danger to anyone else, clearly a prosecution would not be in the public interest. Like so many, this is a victimless crime and therefore no crime.

She is, in fact, the victim herself of a wicked crime. Typically of modern Britain, it is the blameless victim who will (probably) be incarcerated while the scum who invaded and ransacked her home is already free. In the event of a prosecution, I sincerely hope the jury invokes the great and honourable tradition of jury nullification and throws out such an unjust act.

FOUND: The first, ever, correct understanding of our British Constitution in the MSM.

From a priest, no less, and what a splendid sort he seems.

IT’S difficult to overstate the contempt which the British ruling class has for our people. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, along comes another Abdul to show how wrong you can be. The details are no less astonishing for being straightforward. Yet another illegal immigrant falls off a banana boat, this one from Morocco though claiming to be an Afghan on the run from the Taliban. He says he’s disabled and “successfully claims for income support, disability living allowance, housing benefit, council tax benefits, special housing, payments from social services for carers and further payments from the Independent Living Fund”.

I’ve not even heard of some of those.

All in all, reports the Daily Mail, he trousered £400,000. He was also given a flat in London, adapted for disabled living, so in the end talking the thick end of a million quid. At the height of the scam he was pulling in £66,000 a year. If we need reminding, that’s a £100K salary. Well I’m not interested in him being disabled (or not, since he was caught out). He’s an alien who has no business being here yet the state cannot rob us fast enough to make him wealthy by the standards of the victims who (no doubt) will be sneered at as ‘racist’ if they protest. Well screw that.

The contempt for the British people cannot be greater. How many years will you have to work to incur the taxes which he took? It’s literally millions of hours of British sweat and labour, and the state cannot comandeer it fast enough for the benefit of a foreigner who most of us don’t want here. He’s just one example, and we only know about him because he was found out. Such is the state’s war against the British people there are many thousands more out there, on the take for our wealth against our wishes while someone’s old nan is told her hip op is cancelled because the money’s not there. Of course it’s not there, they gave it to an illegal immigrant.

According to the BBC: “Camden Council and the Department for Work and Pensions have both been contacted by BBC London but have not responded regarding the case.” I bet they haven’t responded. When even the BBC is after you, the jig’s up. The regulatory welfare state is a failed experiment. The cash is gone, revolutionary times are here. Don’t think they can’t come to a council office near you. I suspect they will be soon enough.

The latest futile attempt to rectify what government causes: the rest of us will be looted to subsidise jobs to jobs which would have existed without government intervention in the first place.

Under the Youth Contract, 160,000 workers aged between 18 and 24 will have half their wages paid for the first six months. The scheme will only pay half the minimum wage – worth £2,275 – to employers who will then make up the difference.

Can’t just do away with the job-destroying minimum wage, oh no. That would be an admission of their disaster.

An appointment in town this morning (oh joy) gave me the chance to wander around the ‘Occupy’ protest at St Paul’s Cathedral. It was quite nice really what with the sun out. The authorities are still clearly dubious, as “church and local government officials announce they will take legal action to evict the demostrators”, reports the Telegraph. Meanwhile, a clearly overwrought David Cameron claims that the protest threatens “to damage Britain’s international standing”. What nonsense.

Going by reports I half expected a cross between Glastonbury and Soweto. It turns out the camp is clean, the tents are laid out neatly in rows, they’re close together and aren’t in anyone’s way. I don’t seee what the fuss is about, to be honest. For those who know St Paul’s, the tents are to the side where you walk to Paternoster Square. Room is left for people to get by, no problem.

In fact the problem in front of the steps was caused by the numerous camera crews. If only they could have been evicted then all would have been well.

One less idiot on the road

We learn that an ‘ex-racing driver’ died after his Audi RS6 rolled whilst being driven at excessive speeds in Wandsworth.

I regret the possible loss of revenue to the coffers of the Congestion Charge.

I also regret the extra tasks given to the London Ambulance Service, the Metropolitan Police and sundry road refuse-removal contractors, as all their expenditure is non-recoverable from the estate of the dead clown in the Audi.

I am also pleased to relate that the cause of road-safety have been given yet another example of driving licences being handed out to persons of an I.Q. in single figures.

The moral degeneration of the Britain is all too obvious in the unlikely story of…Johnny Anglais. Who is he? A Male stripper. Oh – and a teacher in a State school.

A teacher who led a double life as a porn star and stripper, has been told he is free to go back to the classroom.

Benedict Garrett AKA Johnny Anglais, 31, told the Guardian he expected to be struck off the teaching register following a two-day disciplinary hearing of the General Teaching Council which ended today (August 31).

The Council heard that Mr Garrett had stripped in clubs and undertaken work of a pornographic nature while employed as a sex education teacher at Beal High School in Woodford Bridge Road. But while they found him guilty of unacceptable professional conduct, they did not strike him off the register.

I heard him being interviewed on the radio today. He was boasting of the warm support he had received from parents, from children, for his brave decision… to strip off for extra income and be part of the porn industry.

Would YOU like to have your children taught by someone from the porn industry? Is this what we now accept as decency in our State schools. In the era of anything goes, I suppose all things become possible. Mr Chips is forgotten and replaced by Johnny Anglais, the stripper.

As Hackney and Lewisham feel the vibrancy, Old Holborn makes a fair point:

WE created this. WE told black kids it was OK to be a gangsta. We protected them from the consequences of their actions under the banner of equality and diversity. We told them it was fine to act and behave as a lawless thugs as if challenging that behaviour would somehow offend them […]

Whilst “da bruvvers” are celebrating an intake of free widescreen TVs, those who defend them by inaction against their lawlessness are preparing to complain to me that no businesses or jobs will come to the areas they trashed. And it will be my fault. Again.

Already the “community leaders” (always evidence that place is beyond hope) are hogging the cameras. That Al Sharpton wannabe Lee Jasper this morning held court on Sky News, bleating on about the “rage and frustration” communities feel. Rage and frustration for what? Ever since Scarman surrendered to thuggery, inner city ethnic crapholes have received hundreds of billions of funding. They have “community leaders” and youth centres and “BME Outreach Programmes” coming out of their ears and they’re still crapholes. They’ll still be crapholes tomorrow  when they’re ashes.

If you’re going to skip school and become a mugger before you hit puberty, don’t be surprised when no-one gives you a job. If you can’t speak English properly, no-one will give you a job. If you dress to intimidate, no-one will give you a job. If all you can do is open your beak for a state feed between rioting every generation, you’ll be stuck always in your inner city craphole.

If you want better in life, if you want to be able to buy those snazzy trainers instead of twocking them, if you want to lose the “rage and frustration” then get off your arse, learn some respect and work for it. No-one else is going to do it for you, if you can’t do it for yourself you deserve all you get.

Give me strength.

The brief outbreak of summer has caused rail chaos in double quick time with journeys cut short, trains forced into go slows and the London Underground (predictably) resembling an oven. Such has been the severity of what the Daily Telegraph describes as a “heat wave”.

The epicentre of this disaster is here in the great and ancient county of Essex, where clouds filled the sky until Saturday night. We’ve had two days – two days – of hot, sunny weather and we’re in meltdown with something called a Level 2 Heat Health warning issued. It’s coming to an end now though with clouds and cooler air coming in from the Atlantic.

Back to normal you might think. Alas, a change in the weather cannot pass without the experts giving us the benefit of their opinions. So the end of the heat wave (stop laughing) will be “dramatic” because “there’s alot of energy in the atmosphere” so we’ll be “lashed by thunderstorms, hail and even tornadoes” and the Met Office has issued a “severe weather warning”.

The country has become a juvenile madhouse. I don’t remember forecasts being so “dramatic”. Michael Fish would put on his tie and say it could be a bit thundery. Now it’s as if a bunch of teenagers are doing the forecasting.

Levi Bellfield has been found guilty today of the murder of 13 year old Milly Dowler. Already serving life for two other murders and an attempted murder, he was given a whole-life tariff, meaning he will die in prison.

He is plainly an evil man who committed wicked crimes. There is no point in allowing him to live for a minute longer than necessary. The tariff allows some to pretend they disagree with capital punishment, but incarcerating someone for the rest of their days is no more humane than a hanging following due process. The current settlement means that the taxpayer will be burdened with the huge cost of keeping him while the European Court of Human Rights might one day rule that whole life tariffs contravene his rights. This is not justice, he should hang.
