and so the story changes, not that the MSM will say anything about it

As Obama pushes a deal with Iran that he refuses to call a Treaty because a Treaty has to be ratified by 67 votes in the Senate this came out two days ago.

Once again we find out that Obama has been lying, and this time it’s about Iran. More specifically, it’s about Iran’s break-out time to a nuclear weapon. According to the Energy Secretary (via Bloomberg View), the U.S. has believed for years that Iran’s breakout time for a nuke was only roughly three months:

Speaking to reporters and editors at our Washington bureau on Monday, Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz acknowledged that the U.S. has assessed for several years that Iran has been two to three months away from producing enough fissile material for a nuclear weapon. When asked how long the administration has held this assessment, Moniz said: “Oh quite some time.” He added: “They are now, they are right now spinning, I mean enriching with 9,400 centrifuges out of their roughly 19,000. Plus all the . . . . R&D work. If you put that together it’s very, very little time to go forward. That’s the 2-3 months.”

But that was considered classified, until recently:

Brian Hale, a spokesman for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, confirmed to me Monday that the two-to-three-month estimate for fissile material was declassified on April 1.

Because it’s been classified, Obama’s been able to run around saying the breakout time was whatever he wanted it to be, and he did just that:

Back in 2013, when Congress was weighing new sanctions on Iran and Obama was pushing for more diplomacy, his interest was in tamping down that sense of urgency. On the eve of a visit to Israel, Obama told Israel’s Channel Two, “Right now, we think it would take over a year or so for Iran to actually develop a nuclear weapon, but obviously we don’t want to cut it too close.”

On Oct. 5 of that year, Obama contrasted the U.S. view of an Iranian breakout with that of Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, who at the time said Iran was only six months away from nuclear capability. Obama told the Associated Press, “Our assessment continues to be a year or more away. And in fact, actually, our estimate is probably more conservative than the estimates of Israeli intelligence services.”

So why did Obama declassify it? Because his agenda changed. Now he needs to argue the urgency of his deal with Iran, and what’s more urgent than a two to three month breakout time?

Today Obama emphasizes that Iran is only two to three months away from acquiring enough fuel for a bomb, creating a sense of urgency for his Iran agreement.

So even when our liar-in-chief is telling the truth, it’s only for his twisted purpose of allowing Iran to get nukes.

Here are some of the times the Obama Administration has LIED about this topic.

WASHINGTON — Airstrikes on towns in northern Iraq seized by Islamist militants began late Thursday in what Kurdish and Iraqi officials called the first stage of an American-led intervention to blunt the militants’ advance and provide emergency aid to tens of thousands of refugees.

The Pentagon firmly denied that American forces had begun a bombing campaign. But Pentagon officials said it was possible that allies of the United States, either the Iraqi or Turkish militaries, had conducted the bombing.

Kurdish and Iraqi officials attributed the bombing campaign to American forces. An announcement on Kurdish television of what was described as an American intervention prompted street celebrations and horn-honking by residents of towns under seige by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

Anwar Haji Osman, deputy minister of the Peshmerga, the Kurdish military force, said in the televised statement that his forces had contact with the Americans and that the bombings had been carried out by fighter jets.

Kurdish officials said the bombings had initially targeted ISIS fighters who had seized two towns, Gwer and Mahmour, near the main Kurdish city of Erbil. A top Iraqi official in Baghdad close to Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki of Iraq said that the Americans had consulted with the Iraqi government Thursday night about starting the campaign, the government had agreed and the bombing had begun.

Deja Vu again…..

By Mike Cunningham On June 11th, 2013 at 10:29 pm

Sometime back I wrote of the largest and possibly the most important (then) leak of secret and confidential documentation in over forty years; and of the man responsible for that leak, Daniel Ellsberg. Many may disagree with my strong admiration for this man, his motives and his beliefs, but I continue to state that this is what America was built upon; a man whose belief and actions may have been seen to be against the Law, but that same law, in the form of the Supreme Court of the United States, stated that he was he was in the right to expose lies, deceit and Government treachery.

So who better to comment upon the release of information which, although sketchy, seems to point straight at an egregious breach of that same Constitution which Ellsberg strove to defend against the unscrupulous actions of the soon-to-be-impeached President Nixon and his gang of thieves, bullies and liars?

Ooops, forgot the title…….Hi Sarah!

By Mike Cunningham On May 27th, 2013 at 8:57 am

Somewhat surprisingly, I’m with Sarah. Obama’s White House  Administration has been exposed once again as wanting to ‘control the story’ rather than facilitating the open access to news about that same Administration.

As more information about the IRS scandal trickles out daily, the White House’s involvement is becoming clearer. Those of us who’ve been warning about the demise of freedom with Barack Obama’s efforts to “fundamentally transform” our great nation are about to witness some sad vindication. Will awakened Americans finally join us in saying “enough is enough”?

The president would like us to believe that he only learned about the IRS corruption from watching the news. But we recently learned that the White House was actively working with the IRS on how to roll out the story of this scandal. So, Mr. President, how can you have your staff work on the roll out of the biggest controversy since Watergate, and yet claim that you only heard about it by watching the news with the rest of us?

For the president to deny any knowledge of what was brewing and to claim to know nothing about the Benghazi cover-up or anything about anything White House-related lately, he’s either a liar or a hugely incompetent CEO. You decide.

Yesterday, we also learned that the top IRS official involved in the targeting scandal is planning on pleading the Fifth during her Congressional hearings. That’s keen – she’ll be able to enjoy her Fifth Amendment rights in a hearing about how her intimidating organization denied Americans the ability to fully exercise their First Amendment rights.

Keep in mind that the IRS considers you guilty until proven innocent when they audit you.  The Fifth Amendment doesn’t apply.

This scandal is not just about the IRS targeting Americans to deny them tax-exempt status or subjecting them to harassing retaliatory audits. The IRS also leaked to left-wing reporters the confidential application information submitted by conservative groups.

The IRS claims that their leaking of information was “inadvertent and unintentional disclosures by the employees involved.” They at first blamed the entire IRS scandal on a couple of employees who “went rogue,” but we soon found out that this was just more malarkey coming from the president’s spokesman. But even if these were “inadvertent and unintentional disclosures,” is that supposed to make us feel better? With the IRS running Obamacare, what are the chances that our confidential information and medical records will “inadvertently” and “unintentionally” be disclosed? Please remember that some of us warned America about the dangers of having the IRS play such a big role with the administration of Obamacare. We were laughed at and mocked relentlessly back then. It sure doesn’t seem funny now, does it?

This IRS scandal is especially terrible because Americans live in fear of the IRS like no other entity because this monstrous bureaucracy has the power to take your hard-earned money. Your wages are the sum of your labors; hence, the IRS has the power to steal the fruits of your labors. Average Americans live in fear of making an error on their tax returns that could cost them massive amounts of money, plus their reputation and good name.  If a small business makes a mistake, the IRS can shut them down and send them to jail.

The IRS has always been the face of intimidating and controlling big government. Now it’s the face of corrupt big government that actively attacks the people it is supposed to serve. This isn’t the change America was hoping for, Mr. President, but it certainly is transformative.

Average everyday Americans like my dad and his non-political buddies are outraged by this IRS scandal, perhaps more so than all the other White House fiascos that are making the radical Left’s intentions crystal clear. It’s because this IRS cluster hits close to home for everyone. It’s tangible proof of how a corrupt government can intimidate and target a person’s record, reputation, and life, and make them feel helpless.

These Obama administration scandals are a sad and stark reminder that only limited government can ensure liberty. At our core, we Americans just want to be left alone to live freely, peacefully, and productively.

Last year the Obama campaign told us that government is something we all “belong” to. I guess they’re right because when the government is powerful enough to target, intimidate, and harass us, we do “belong” to them. The real question is: Will we stand for this?

These atrocious government actions are bigger, uglier, and much more dangerous than “a few rogue employees.” It’s time for all Americans to stand together and join in the growing outraged chorus that looks at our out-of-control government and says, “Enough is enough!”

Endgame? Not if Slippery has anything to do with it.

So the House finally gets its vote on A-G Holder; and rightly so.

But will this mean a swift delivery of Fast-and-Furious documentation to Congress?

Not if Petulant Barry has a card in the game!

Obama Lies!

By ATWadmin On May 18th, 2010 at 1:59 pm

Turns out Obama does lie! No wonder he hates Fox and the internet —  they won’t cover for him.

Remember how President Obama promised that Americans could keep their existing insurance plans once ObamaCare became law?  This was a lie, of course, just like Obama’s other ridiculous lie that ObamaCare would not increase healthcare costs.

From the Wall Street Journal:

“President Obama guaranteed Americans that after health reform became law they could keep their insurance plans and their doctors. It’s clear that this promise cannot be kept. Insurers and physicians are already reshaping their businesses as a result of Mr. Obama’s plan.”

Get ready….rationing by unelected bureaucrats is coming down the pike. It will take a while; “death panels”  — rationing by committee —  take a while to get up and running.

Any liberals want to apologize for calling Palin a liar?
