We must remember the important dates

By Patrick Van Roy On November 5th, 2014 at 4:55 pm

Over here in the U.S. yesterday all attention was focused on one thing the Election.  Yesterday however was a very important day in History.  It was the 35th Anniversary of the Start of the current Islamic War on the Great Satan.

TEHRAN, Iran – Thousands of Iranians chanted “Down with America” at a major anti-U.S. rally on Tuesday marking the anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, just days ahead of a key meeting between the two nations’ top diplomats over Iran’s controversial nuclear program. Many in the crowd chanted “Death to Israel” and “Death to Britain,” neither of which has an embassy here. Several protesters burned the American, Israeli and the British flag.

One of the benefits of this election is NO Treaty will be reached with Iran.  One of the U.S.s head loons tweeted out yesterday that the “Neocons” will now put troops on the ground in Syria and Iraq. I guess Rupaul forgot about Iran. Well Rue may be nuts, but sending troops back to Iraq is inevitable. It won’t happen in the next two years unless IZZY actually strikes inside the U.S.

Hopefully though in the next few years we will go and fix what Obama has created with IZZY. When we do it would be nice to just keep going and settle the Iranian Problem. The war does not end until Iran is pacified. They are the Head of the Snake.

Hesitation costs lives

The Obama Administration is “building a Coalition” to fight the threat of IZZY.  In the meantime IZZY laughs and cuts off another head for a commercial. “Welcome to the vacation land of IZZY you’ll have so much fun, you’ll lose your head”

First I’ll state what should have already been done, then I’ll breakdown what has been achieved so far.

What should have been done is as the President was speaking the other night announcing his plans for cleaning up the mess he has created, Air Strikes should have been taking place.  Due to the lack of ground assets in the area the Aircraft that can be used for bombing are limited.  A larger majority of our planes still only drop guided missiles that require someone on the ground to light the target.

That leaves a select group of Aircraft to hit precise targets without massive collateral casualties,  Cruise Missiles, and Drones.  The group could have been decimated in a single strike in less than an hour.  It wouldn’t have destroyed them but it would have incapacitated them for the 2 years that Obama needs to leave office gracefully. He blew the first opportunity.

The current opportunity and the real problem is IZZY is making $97 Million a Month selling Oil at $40 a Barrel. That makes them a threat that has brought the Arab Nations to draw lines. IZZY controls 3 Oil Fields, 2 in Syria 1 in Iraq. This could be squashed in less than 30 minutes with a Cruise Missile attack.  What is Obama waiting for and why?

If we strike the 3 oil fields we screw them logistically. IZZY is not Al-Qaeda, they are a State and must be dismantled as one. This is the threat that has pushed the Saudis to drag it’s Arab Allies to the Table. The lines that are forming are the same ones that formed under Saudi Leadership in WWI.(The Turks have withdrawn from the group)  The Egyptians are taking the lead in organizing the front against the actual terrorist personnel.  The Saudis are playing the Americans exactly as they played the British to protect their own interests that coincide with ours.  Money over Religion.

As we dither IZZY is moving assets into the heaviest populated areas it can. (They learned from your reaction over Gaza). They can not however move Oil Fields. The only committed ground Forces are the Iraqis and the Kurds. That means until the Egyptians organize an actual Assault on Libya and wherever else they feel a threat the only ground fighting takes place in Iraq. The only two Nations to commit Air Power at this point are France and Iraq, so we will be doing all the bombing. Add to that the Russians have threatened that U.S. attacks in Syria would be a “gross violation” of international law.

A Russian foreign ministry spokesman said any such action, without the backing of the UN, would be “an act of aggression”. (so what?)

The longer the first strikes drag out the more civilians will die.

from one masterpiece; to another

By Mike Cunningham On June 18th, 2014 at 9:52 am

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: `Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear —
“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!”
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.’

Whilst in contemplative mood, I would ask ATW readers if, in their opinion, Shelley’s masterpiece has its own echo in this Telegraph article about the Iraqi city once described by an American President as a place where he could  “see the outlines of the Iraq we’ve been fighting for”.

I would only comment that if this resembles what all those American lives, as well as the vast amounts of treasure spent upon this ill-conceived and poorly-executed shambles produced, maybe we should have left Saddam Hussein in place, and, once the Taliban were driven from power, left Afghanistan as well.

Well, yes; but only if he….

…is actually believable.

Mr. Grisham is a talented author who has rarely put a writing foot wrong, but, despite an analytical mind, has fallen for the oldest trick in the Jihadi encyclopedia; which is of course:-

For reasons that had nothing to do with terror, war or criminal behavior, Nabil was living peacefully in an Algerian guesthouse in Kabul, Afghanistan, on Sept. 11, 2001. Following the United States invasion, word spread among the Arab communities that the Afghan Northern Alliance was rounding up and killing foreign Arabs. Nabil and many others headed for Pakistan in a desperate effort to escape the danger. En route, he said, he was wounded in a bombing raid and woke up in a hospital in Jalalabad.

John, stick to what you know and are trained in, and lets leave the terrorists to those who know how to combat them, and their lies.

The White House says that it believes Damascus has used chemical weapons “on a small scale”, immediately setting those dogs of war, Lindsey Graham and John McCain, on a chase to rattle some spears.

Safe areas for their pet rebels .. no-fly zones .. must grab those chemical weapons .. Russia .. Iran .. blah blah. Never mind that the White House has called for credible and corroborated” facts before acting on that assessment, and that the rebels are full of the types who have been fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq for a decade. One intelligence assessment, one arbitrary red line, and that’s enough: more war.

The more I hear McCain, the more demented he sounds. I thought it made no difference who won the 2008 presidential election, but I’m wondering now just how catastrophic a McCain presidency would have been.

Where we have been led to, or you can all go to hell.

One of the first acts of the Obama Administration was to toss the Bust of Winston Churchill out of the Oval Office and send it back to Britain. Another accomplishment that his administration has accomplished was to leak intel for political gain that exposed British Undercover Agents in the war on terror.

The Obama Administration’s record on 90% of our military objectives has been a huge disaster. It has cost us 80% minimum of what we were supposed to gain from the cost of our blood in Iraq. He has tied the hands of our soldiers in Afghanistan, forbidding our troops to operate at night, when 99.9% of American Military Ground Operations are designed to be executed at night. Our troops are not even allowed to return fire at the enemy in the daylight without clearing it through the chain of command.

More American and Coalition forces have died in Afghanistan in the 3 1/2 years of Obama’s engagement rules than in the entire 7 years under Bush.

The only thing the Obama Regime has gotten right in the war zone is the use of our robotic toys. The American Drone campaign has been and continues to be an unprecedented success.

So with all do respect to our one of only two true Allies in the world, I say first I love you, and I respect you.

Now Go to Hell!

US ‘should hand over footage of drone strikes or face UN inquiry’

The UN special rapporteur on human rights to urge establishing a mechanism to investigate such killings

The US must open itself to an independent investigation into its use of drone strikes or the United Nations will be forced to step in, Ben Emmerson QC said yesterday.
Mr Emmerson, a leading London barrister and UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and Counter-Terrorism, said America is facing mounting global pressure over its use of UAVs and he is preparing a report for the next session of the Human Rights Council in March. The issue, he insists, will “remain at the top of the UN political agenda until some consensus and transparency has been achieved”.

American UAV strikes, most notably in Pakistan and Yemen, have shot up since Barrack Obama came to power. Estimates state that while there were 52 such strikes during George W Bush’s time, this number has risen to 282 over the past three and a half years, with officials justifying it has international “self defence” against a stateless enemy.

Mr Emmerson said it was time for the US to open itself up to scrutiny as to the legality of such attacks. While it remains nigh on impossible for observers to establish the truth on the ground in many of areas, each strike is visually recorded and videos could be passed to independent assessors, he explained.

“We can’t make a decision on whether it is lawful or unlawful if we do not have the data. The recommendation I have made is that users of targeted killing technology should be required to subject themselves, in the case of each and every death, to impartial investigation. If they do not establish a mechanism to do so, it will be my recommendation that the UN should put the mechanisms in place through the Human Rights Council, the General Assembly and the Office of the High Commissioner”, he said.

He continued: “The Obama administration continues formally to adopt the position that it will neither confirm nor deny the existence of the drone program, whilst allowing senior officials to give public justifications of its supposed legality in personal lectures and interviews. In reality the administration is holding its finger in the dam of public accountability. There are now a large number of law suits, in different parts of the world, including in the UK, Pakistan and in the US itself, through which pressure for investigation and accountability is building.”

The Obama Administration will be gone in less than 6 months. The War with Islamic Terrorists has only just begun. Your Nation has Disarmed itself. The Drones you fly over the battlefield carry no armaments. You no longer have a Navy, You no longer have an Air Force. The Soldiers that serve in your Military are some of the best in the world, but they are too few in number.

If you have chosen that you can no longer stand with the U.S, then GO HOME. If you choose to stand with those aligned against us, make the choice openly, put to your people that this is the direction you choose, and understand the consequences of your choices.

I write this knowing two things, one a lot of the people that read this will gladly make that choice. I also know this site is viewed by members of the British Parliament. Keep in mind the Ties that bind.

It could have turned out very badly, but fortunately the TSA was on hand to protect national security.

When four year old Isabella Brademeyer hugged her grandmother, while going through security at Wichita Airport, the heroes of the TSA weren’t fooled: nan might have passed her a gun!

You can’t be too careful when national security is imperilled, so Isabella was isolated from her family and shouted at. An attempted pat down ended with the potentially dangerous suspect running off terrified (hey, these terrorists are trained to deceive). The TSA knew then they had their girl. They declared that Isabella was “a high-security-threat” and threatened to shut the airport if the citizen did not comply.

The mini Leila Khaled was taken to a side room where she carried on the act, but a TSA hero took control and eventually allowed the family to get their flight. Phew, you can’t be too careful.

You’ll be getting used to more of this:

USA TODAY – The Justice Department is funding an unusual national training program to help police deal with an increasing number of volatile confrontations involving highly trained and often heavily armed combat veterans.

Developers of the pilot program, to be launched at 15 U.S. sites this year, said there is an “urgent need” to de-escalate crises in which even SWAT teams may be facing tactical disadvantages against mentally ill suspects who also happen to be trained in modern warfare.

Much more of it. For some idea of what’s coming down the road, consider that more Falklands War veterans have committed suicide than  were killed in the conflict.

Ah, the liberals are enraged.

The Obamafied US military is investigating an online video purportedly showing Marines urinating on the corpses of Taliban fighters in Afghanistan, a spokesman said Wednesday, calling the behaviour “disgusting”.

The video shows what appears to be four servicemen, dressed in US military uniform, relieving themselves onto three bloodied bodies on the ground, apparently aware that they are being filmed. “Have a great day, buddy,” one of them says. The Pentagon has not yet verified the video, but spokesman John Kirby told AFP: “Regardless of the circumstances or who is in the video, this is… egregious, disgusting behaviour, unacceptable for anyone in uniform.” “It turned my stomach,” he added of the video, which was posted on the Live Leak website.

Right. Reality check. War is NOT played out by the Queensberry rules. It is kill or be killed. It involves high emotions, high aggression. Sure it is unbecoming to urinate on the corpse of the enemy but then again in the aftermath  of a fire fight emotions run high and I put NO blame on the soldiers. It is IMPOSSIBLE to “desecrate” the Taliban since they have already desecrated themselves through their innate savagery. What do some people think war actually is? It’s not about shaking hands and being gentlemanly.

Taliban scum deserve all that they get and I trust that the soldiers concerned are congratulated for killing the enemy.

It’s just as well kooks and extremists who don’t intend starting endless wars do not direct foreign policy eh? Otherwise we might not have such desirable outcomes as this, reported in the NYT:

The children were from two families and aged between 4 and 12. The reporting is just words on a page of course, but to those families it’s horrifically real. Their children were slaughtered, blown apart, ending up as dismembered, blackened bits of meat. Still, they hate us for our freedoms, as we’ve been told many times.

“I have been to the scene and haven’t found a single bit of evidence of bombs or any other weapons. The Americans did a serious crime against innocent children, they will never ever be forgiven.”

Well, maybe not.
