Oh all this violence in Northern Ireland is SO awful and I keep being told that “violence must not pay”.  I agree … just one problem.

As any sensible observer understands, the so called “peace process” here in Northern Ireland is a wicked fraud from start to finish.

May I ask you to have a quick review of this story, confirming that the repugnant terror group the UVF had decommissioned their weapons. Fair enough, we are told that we must believe these things and some foolishly do so. And then we read that the same UVF are firing shots at police in East Belfast. So, they decommissioned and stood down but remain..erm..armed and active.

What could make more sense?

Maybe this is the “I can’t believe it’s not the UVF”? Or than again maybe some people need to face up to the fact that a political process based on appeasing terrorists will ONLY ever deliver contorted democracy and MORE terrorism.

Rory McIlroy

It’s really quite sad;

World number one golfer Rory McIlroy may opt to take a neutral back seat and avoid competing at the 2016 Olympic Games amid controversy over which country to represent. McIlroy (23) admitted he might opt out of playing altogether at Rio de Janeiro as he mulls over whether to declare to play for Britain or Ireland. “I just think being from where we’re from, we’re placed in a very difficult position. I feel Northern Irish and obviously being from Northern Ireland, you have a connection to Ireland and a connection to the UK,” McIlroy said. The Co Down golfer said in a BBC documentary that he was enduring an uncomfortable battle of conscience.

Rory made the error of saying he would like to play for Team GB in the 2016 Olympics. This was immediately seized on by Nationalists and he was forced to back track. Now he is in a position where he has to sit on the fence lest one side or the other be offended. It’s a shame. The truth is that any public/Sporting figure who comes from Northern Ireland and declares loyalty to the United Kingdom is instantly attacked by small minded intolerant Irish nationalists. Parity of esteem  means NOT saying you are British f you come from Northern Ireland.

You wonder why these fools do it?

Several hundred people have linked arms to encircle Belfast City Hall during a five-minute prayer vigil in response to trouble over the past two weeks in Northern Ireland. The event on Saturday morning was attended by several churchmen. Organisers said afterwards that they were delighted with the turn-out.

They said that it sent out a powerful message that people supported peace. A whistle sounded to begin and end the short vigil. Andrew Masters, who was one of the organisers, said: “The last 10 days have reminded us that while we have come so far we still have a journey ahead of us. “We wanted to do something really positive and just pray for peace and hope.” The former Methodist Church president Harold Good, who witnessed IRA decommissioning in 2005, was one of several clergy who attended. He said the time for ending street protests had “long past”.

Really? So this meddling Methodist has decided that legal street protests are no longer tolerable? How very liberal. Good is also the SAME guy that the IRA chose to “witness” their alleged “putting beyond use” of their arsenal. He had their confidence. Good has also conspicuously failed to tell the public what he saw…we have to take it on faith.

Rather than holding hands and chanting Kumbaya, these well intentioned clowns should realise that the road to hell is PAVED with good intentions. The truth is that they no moral legitimacy since they support terrorists in government.

Well then, it is nice to be able to post again on the sort of topics that I know ATW readers enjoy!

I see that images of violence once more set the standard for the shiny bright new post appeasement Northern Ireland;

Eight police officers have been injured and 12 people arrested following clashes between loyalists and riot police in Belfast. Trouble began in the city when a crowd that was blocking the road attacked a van after its driver had attempted to drive through a loyalist roadblock. Police said an attempt had been made to hijack the van. Senior officers have appealed to loyalists planning to protest in Belfast city centre later not to do so.

Such violence and burning of private property is SHAMEFUL.

Loyalists opposed to new restrictions on flying the union flag at Belfast city hall have been holding protests across Northern Ireland all week after the city council voted to fly the union flag on designated days.

I wonder what role opportunistic paramilitaries are playing here?

On Friday, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited the city and condemned the violence.

Big deal. She is an appeaser of the men of violence and was happy to embrace IRA godfather McGuinness even as she spoke her words of “peace.” How many people lost relatives to HIS IRA?

Her comments came before Friday night clashes that left six police officers hurt in the Crumlin Road and Ligoneil Road area of north Belfast, with two more injured in Shaftesbury Square near the city centre. Among those arrested was a boy aged 13.

WHAT sort of parents allow such a young person to riot?  The quality of parenting is shocking.,

Look, here is my view on this issue. The flying of the Union Flag over City Hall in a major UK capital city should not be a problem. But it is. Why? Because Irish republicans want to see it come down for good. I do not blame them for this since that is their toxic political ideology. The people I blame are all those Unionists, and in particular the DUP, who sit in power with the IRA’s proxies but act ever so surprised when  Sinn Fein  do what they do.

Here’s the bottom line for slow witted unionist frogs;

The Scorpion and the Frog is a fable about a scorpion asking a frog to carry him across a river. The frog is afraid of being stung during the trip, but the scorpion argues that if it stung the frog, the frog would sink and the scorpion would drown. The frog agrees and begins carrying the scorpion, but midway across the river the scorpion does indeed sting the frog, dooming them both. When asked why, the scorpion explains that this is simply its nature”

I see that most loathsome of political specimens, Hillary Clinton, is back in Belfast today.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is due to arrive in Belfast on Friday as part of a four-day trip to Europe. It is understood she will meet Northern Ireland’s first minister and deputy first minister, and attend an Ireland Fund dinner at Titanic Belfast.  It could be one of her last foreign engagements as Washington’s most senior diplomat.

“An Ireland Fund” dinner? Woner where that country is? Clinton and husband Bubba were central to placing the IRA in government here and so in a sense this is a return to the scene of the crime. It is entirely fitting that Hillary Clinton should come along to Belfast to celebrate her part in making sure that the democratic standard here has become so corrupted that lunch with an IRA Godfather seems normal.

I entirely disagree with violence which is WHY I entirely condemn this;

“The Alliance Party’s office in Carrickfergus has been attacked and police officers have been injured after trouble flared following a loyalist flag protest.

Police said that about 1,500 to 1,600 people had gathered at the Irish Gate roundabout earlier on Wednesday. They were protesting against Belfast City Council’s decision to stop flying the union flag every day. Trouble broke out and missiles, bottles and masonry were thrown at police. The violence continued in nearby West Street, where Alliance MLA Stewart Dickson has an office.”

Those who would attack private property and threaten violence are scum. But are they foolish?

After all they have seen how we rewarded the scum who murdered thousands, maimed tens of thousands and blew the hell out of our cities, towns and villages, by placing their proxies in Goverment. If they see violence appeased and indeed rewarded, why act surprised when they too follow the path of violence? It’s time the hypocrites who support the appeasement of the IRA, UDA, UVF et al looked in the mirror. If it is wrong to riot in Carrickfergus (and it IS) THEN it was wrong to carry out a blitzkrieg for more than three decades. Yet many of you support the rewarding of those men of hateful violence.

The DUP have held their annual jamboree at the La Mon House Hotel, the site of a horrendous IRA bombing, previously covered here on ATW. Peter Robinson preened as the successful leader, the voice of Unionism.  However I wondered had he remembered this?

DUP MP Iris Robinson has pledged to “stand by” allegations she made under privilege in the Commons yesterday that Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams was one of the men behind the 1978 La Mon hotel bombing.   On the anniversary of the atrocity, the Strangford MP named Mr Adams as a co-conspirator of the bombing and called for the government to open up an independent inquiry into the atrocity which killed 12 people.

Does Mr Robinson agree with what Mrs Robinson said or does he think she was lying.

If the former, WHY is he is power with the Adams led Sinn Fein? If the latter, why did he not speak out at the time?

This weekend saw the DUP gather for their annual conference and Peter Robinson hail their success as the Party of the Union. So, have a read of this;

Belfast City Council’s policy committee has recommended that the Union flag no longer fly over the City Hall. A motion to remove the flag was passed at a meeting of the policy and resources committee on Friday. The committee also backed the removal of the Union flag at two other council properties, the Ulster Hall and the Duncrue complex. For the motion to take effect the decision must be ratified by the full council on 3 December.

Belfast, our capital city, will see the Union Flag REMOVED from City Hall if this vote goes through in just over a week. What a terrific victory for the Dupes but I am wondering can we survive many more such DUP victories?

It’s appalling;

Sinn Fein and the SDLP have voted to retain the title of a Newry playground named after an IRA gunman who was caught with a weapon used in the notorious Kingsmills massacre.

The council voted to name the Patrick Street playground after IRA man Raymond McCreesh in 2001 – despite the fact that 16 per cent of residents opposed the change in a survey. Unionists appealed to the Equality Commission which called for an equality impact assessment in 2008.

But a council sub-committee finally decided this week that naming the park after McCreesh complies with their legal requirement to “promote equality of opportunity and good relations between persons of different religious belief and political opinion”.

UKIP councillor Henry Reilly said: “Raymond McCreesh created so much fear in the unionist community. When he was caught he was setting up an ambush for police and Army with a rifle which was used in the Kingsmills massacre. “This weapon was used to shoot Protestant farmer Sammy Rodgers who Raymond McCreesh delivered milk to as a milkman. Our equality impact assessment in Newry and Mourne means that unionists have to live with the council formally honouring a convicted terrorist who has been officially linked to the Kingsmills massacre.” In 1977 McCreesh was convicted of attempted murder, conspiracy to murder, possession of firearms with intent to endanger life and PIRA membership. He died on hunger strike in 1981. Last year the PSNI Historical Enquiries Team linked him, along with two others, to a string of IRA murders committed with the Armalite he was caught with, including the Kingsmills massacre in 1976.

That McCreesh, a terrorist convicted of attempted murder who chose to kill himself  should be honoured in this way by this Republican dominated Council tells you all that you need to know about “equality”  What message does it send to school children?
