As members of the NYPD and NYFD were folding the flag that flew over Ground Zero during the time of the atrocities, Our First Lady whispered to Our President “All This For A Flag”?  If that weren’t bad enough, look at Obama’s smirk of consent. I know that lovely Michelle only became proud of her county in 2008 but isn’t this latest insult breathtaking?

  1. I can’t tell what she is saying and I don’t think that anyone else can either. Right wingers are hearing what they want to hear, even without any soundtrack of the words.

But I bet you $20 Obama wishes that she would keep quiet when it’s time to do so. Like Rudy said, there’s a time to speak up, and a time to STFU.

  2. This is absolute baloney. There is no verification that is what was said, and you have posted it as if it were the truth.

  3. Flags matter: false flags matter more. However, in this short video which explains the official narrative of 9/11 and challenges certain aspects of the ‘conspiracies’, I must admit that I am not as persuaded as I was.

    9/11: A Conspiracy Theory

  4. David

The Moonie owned Washington Times is not a credible source, esp not on things like this.

I never heard of that writer, and he doesn’t reveal who he thinks deduced that statement

    It’s a libel without foundation.

“A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.”
    Churchill

  5. David – Did yo uread the article, even they aren’t saying that is what she said. (Do you know anythign about the Washington Times?).

    it is bullshit.

And now you got that nutcase Allan in on the thing. Congrats.

    1. I know as much about the Washington Times as Obama knows about the economy. I am sure Michelle will clear this up by explaining what she DID say, thus exposing moonbattery.

  6. How can any paper on the planet be called bullshit, when they Call the NY Times “The Paper of Record”

    Now that’s bullshit,

The Obama’s are what they are, products of Black liberation theology.

  7. I’m no lip reader, but “all this for a flag?” looks plausible.

The Empress looks a little cheesed off in any case. Immediately the First Gob closes, while His Obamaship is shaking his head, she purses her lips and shakes her head. Madam is displeased.

  8. The Moonie owned Washington Times is not a credible source, esp not on things like this.

Phantom – which media outlets do you trust and who owns them?

  9. Why bother with this flag debate, when the real issue is that the US economy is facing a depression? This is what will cost Obama a second term:

“The point being that a depression, put simply, is a very long period of economic malaise and when the economy fails to respond in any meaningful or lasting way to government stimulus programs. A series of rolling recessions and modest recoveries over a multi-year period of general economic stagnation as the excesses from the prior asset and credit bubble are completely wrung out of the system. In baseball parlance, we are in the third inning of this current debt deleveraging ball game.

You know you’re in a depression when interest rates go to zero and there is no revival in credit-sensitive spending. The economy is in a depression when the banks are sitting on nearly $2 trillion of cash and yet there is no lending going onto the private sector. It’s otherwise known as a ‘liquidity trap’. Depressions usually are caused by a bursting of an asset bubble and a contraction in credit, whereas plain-vanilla recessions are typically caused by inflation and excessive manufacturing inventories. You tell me which fits the bill today. When almost half of the ranks of the unemployed have been looking for a job fruitlessly for at least six months, you know you are in something much deeper than a garden-variety recession. True, we can’t see the soup lines; the soup lines are in the mail — 99 weeks of unemployment cheques for over 10 million jobless Americans. Don’t be lulled into the view that we are into anything remotely close to a normal economic cycle.”

  10. The difficulty is that the US is, technically anyway, not even in recession. So it is hard to call it a depression.

  11. WASHINGTON (AP) — The ranks of America’s poor swelled to almost 1 in 6 people last year, reaching a new high as long-term unemployment left millions of Americans struggling and out of work. The number of uninsured edged up to 49.9 million, the biggest in more than two decades.

    It’s a depression, Seamus.

  12. The difficulty is that the US is, technically anyway, not even in recession. So it is hard to call it a depression.

The US economy was growing at various points throughout the Great Depression so I don’t think that not currently being in recession rules out the Depression label.

  13. I don’t trust lip readers much, professional lip readers claim more scientific certitude for their craft than actually exists. They tend to see what they want to see.

A notorious case was after the 2006 World Cup final when Zinedine Zidane head butted Marco Materazzi and instantly newspapers brought in lip readers to see what Materazzi had said to provoke him. They all came up with completely different words that he supposedly said- yet amazingly all managed to convey that he had racially abused Zidane.

Except a few days later Zidane confirmed that there had been no racial abuse at all.

Lip reading experts are professional bullshitters.

  14. OK, having thought about it, I give her the benefit of the doubt. I did note that no one took me to task for pointing out her stated sense of shame in America, until 2008. Nuff said.

  15. Sorry, guys, you all have it wrong.

What Michelle was actually saying was “Honey, don’t forget the kids and I are booked to go back to Spain for our holiday, so I’m gonna need Air Force One for all the luggage again!”

She just talks fast, is all!

  16. She probably did say just that. So what it’s her opinion privately expressed.
    Publically she’s done whats expected.

Jackie Kennedy wasn’t the alabaster saint that her image implied. I’m sure Michelle isn’t either. Probably on the quet she’s a hopeless Meth addict or something.
    Don’t care either way.

Barry is the one who should have emotional intelluigence and he has none….either.
Let’s hope they get voted out soon.

  17. The benefit of doubt? It is so obvious a falsehood that the benefit of doubt appears to be a gift that is hard to extend to those who would propogate this youtube libel.

  18. Depression is a defined term.

We’re nowhere close to being in a depression.

We are in a jobless and slow recovery. Which may be just as hard a problem to solve, because the automation and globalization cats are well out of the bag.

None of this is helped by tossing in emotionally loaded and highly inaccurate terms such as depression when there isn’t one.

  19. She could be saying it, but on the other hand it’s not proven. However, her expression is decidedly disdainful and he is nodding at her in the way people nod when it’s the appropriate thing to do and nothing at all connected with what she is saying.

  20. Most people that I know, from NYC or from far away ( North Carolina, Texas, from other lands ) would be so honored to attend this sad commemoration, and would without prompting, give the dignified response that is called for.

But here, the very best reading you can give it is that she’s not paying attention. The video is damning enough. There’s no need to make up comments that no one could possibly have heard.

  21. The Moonie owned Washington Times is not a credible source, esp not on things like this.

Phantom – which media outlets do you trust and who owns them?

  22. Her expression is distainful? She’s not paying attention?

They were there for hours in tribute to the memory of those who died. It looks to me like she’s pointing out a moving moment and he’s agreeing with her. But then I labor under the dual burden of sanity and decency.

jesus H. Christ what a smear campaign. Some people here need to have their hearts examined (or in Allan’s case, his head).

I watched Laura Bush, George Bush and family talking during at points during the ceremony at times and I am 100% certain they were totally appropriate in their comments and 100% glad they attended.

Might I add that the Post has not been revised or corrected and maintains the disgusting allegation that the president’s wife ACTUALLY made such a ridiculous comment and that he merely smiled it off.

To pair this memorial event with a wildy unfounded and base allegation is over the top.

Go ahead, condemn the Obamas for a variety of sins, but there is no need to manufacture them.

  23. David,

You soil yourself with this type of nonsense.

This is an obvious libelous attack on the first lady.

And look who goose-stepped right in behind you.

  24. ” Might I add that the Post has not been revised or corrected and maintains the disgusting allegation that the president’s wife ACTUALLY made such a ridiculous comment and that he merely smiled it off.

To pair this memorial event with a wildy unfounded and base allegation is over the top. ”

It does make one think about the sincerity of the sorrow expressed.

  25. I really hate it when I am trying to pay attention to something and someone wants to distract with idle chatter. At a religious service, at a business meeting, or here at the apex of a sad event. Side conversations are just not OK.

By appearances, that is exactly what is happening here. You can see the President yesing her to death with nods – he’s not talking. Because he’s aware of the position that he holds, and of the occasion.

  26. Phantom – it is a loop, she’s said one thing, he nods, cut to the bagpipers, then the SAME scene is played again and again and again and again and again and again as if it is one continuous discussion.

  27. Oh no – I did NOT know that ( and can’t view it again now )

If that is the case then this thing is even more bullshit than I had thought – and I retract any critical comment I had made on this thread about Michelle Obama

  28. In addition,

In the very last second of the seconds long clip, look at the expression on her face.

That is not disdain or anything like it.

She quite clearly is touched by what she is witnessing.

  29. I mean if someone accepts this as video interpretation as legitimate we might as well all join Allan in his belief that the babpippers are really Mossad Agents playing music to control the minds of the assembled mourners and convinces them to vote against Ron Paul.

  30. I wasn’t conscious of the intentional deception.

Not by David, but by the knucklehead who put this youtube libel together.

  31. So the best we can say for those who promoted this joke is they were fooled? I think that is a generous interpretation. Maybe the political climate is just so toxic that people are willing to believe anything bad about the politicians (and their families) that they dislike.

  32. And this is what some call ” new media ”

Sorry, give me ” old media “. You know, with editors and fact checkers.

  33. She may not have said those words but OMG doesn’t her butt look HUGE!

Give it a couple of years and you’ll be able to land helicopters on it.

  34. Dogisgreat – The sad thing is that your offensive comment is less offesnive than the the wild accusations against the President’s wife.

  35. I don’t know whether she is saying it or not and I really think you insult our intelligence Mahons if you think we believe it is a continuous discussion. And as for labouring under the dual burden of sanity and decency, I hope I can say the same for myself. Never mind her mouth, look carefully at her eyes. That expression is to me anyway one of disdain. And yes I know Laura Bush was talking at times during the ceremony but she is (or at least she comes across as) a genuinely nice lady who was a real asset to George Bush. We all tend to make up our minds about people whom we don’t know from an impression we get of them and, of course, half the time we are totally wrong. Look how wrong we all were about Jackie Kennedy.

  36. Marlloy – I don’t think it is possible to insult the intelligence of anyone who would buy this hook line and sinker. And I am uncertain if those who want to cling to the speculation that “we don’t know if she said it or not” really deserve further consideration.

  37. Might I add, that having studied this, I think the accusations are nonsense. There is PLENTY to detest about the Obama’s but this is not one. Mea culpa for posting it!

  38. Mahons – I think only the gossip writers are buying this ‘hook, line and sinker’. The rest of us are merely speculating which is a little different from ‘clinging to the speculation’ – a phrase that suggests we desperately want to believe it.

  39. David – I think that is an honorable correction and fair of you.

marlloy – it is actually circulating in certain cesspools as gospel.

  40. David and Mahons,

Not so much ‘Dead Poets Society’ as ‘Mutual Admiration Society’! lol. Wish I knew how to insert a smiley face.

  41. Mahons what I said isn’t offensive just accurate…that butt of hers will soon have it’s own zipcode. But I do concede that the truth hurts.

  42. Dogisgreat – after claiming she said something that she obviously didn’t, you now turn to insulting her body. You’re down to your usual standard, I see.

“All this for a flag” ? There is NO WAY she said these words. What she said was significantly longer than those five mono-syllables, contained several multi-syllable words, particularly at the end, and contained nowhere the word “this”.

No greater confirmation of the stupidity of the anti-Obama chorus.

    .

Noel – can the ‘tude dude. I have never said that she did say those words. I said and I quote above that she PROBABLY said them but it doesn’t matter.

But I stand behind the fat arse comment….way behind in the shade.
