The Prime Minister’s speech at the North Korean Tory Party conference

What he said……. In Afghanistan today, there are men and women fighting for Britain as bravely as any in our history. They come from across our country: England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland. They now have the equipment they need. And we’re on target to bring them home by the end of 2014. Theirs has been a campaign of incredible courage and sacrifice, and I know everyone in this hall will want to send a message to everyone who serves and who have served. We’re proud of you. We salute you. Thank you.

What he meant……Your P45 and Redundancy notices are in the post room. We won’t mention that useless Labour bunch when it comes to equipment, because our Defence bunch is just as useless!

What he said….. A few months ago I was in Nigeria, on a trade mission. While I was there, I visited a vaccination clinic. It was very hot, pretty basic and the lights kept going off. But to the rows of women, cuddling their babies, this place was a godsend. One of the nurses told me that if it wasn’t for British aid, many of those beautiful babies would be dead.

What he meant…...Because the Nigerian government, despite being oil-rich and hugely wealthy, is so corrupt and useless; we are giving lots of your cash to do the vaccination programme, so shut up about the Overseas Aid, Already!

What he said………..  But when it came to that decision to help the Libyan people, there was something dispiriting about the debate here at home. It wasn’t that some people thought we shouldn’t do what we did – of course it’s everyone’s right to disagree.

What he meant…...The slow but certain drift into yet another Islamic-, Muslim Brotherhood-, and Sharia-Law-dominated Arabic hellhole is just to be expected, but, what the hell, I ain’t living there!

What he said…….  The only way out of a debt crisis is to deal with your debts. That’s why households are paying down their credit card and store card bills. It means banks getting their books in order.

What he meant….  Our own example of being  a young couple, having not a penny more than £30 million to our name, managing to pay off a large chunk of mortgage shows how true grit and determination can get us through a recession. We only received, between 2002 and 2007, from the taxpayer to defray our housing expenses, a modest £102,874. Someone, anyone, should tell me what a credit card actually is, as being a millionaire, I have never actually held one. As well as my own wealth, I am blessed by being married to an extremely wealthy woman in her own right, with a family fortune enlarged by the fortunate fact that her father is involved in the extremely lucrative but totally futile wind-farms lunacies which are a direct result of the stupid, crazy and utterly indefensible policies of Global Warming and Climate Change adopted by the last Labour government, and enthusiastically endorsed by the sandal-wearers of our Lib-Dem colleagues!

What he said on Europe……..Nothing at all!

  1. And a few minutes ago the equally useless Bank of England decides to issue another tranche of ‘quantative easing’, a.k.a. fleecing savers to pay off the debts of fickle borrowers by a not too subtle devaluation of the currency and coincidentally saving the banks from suffering from too much loss should those ‘borrowers’ eventually default. The consequential inflation is barely mentioned and then only in a dismissive way.

That on one hand we are traditionally encouraged to save, and make provision for the later years of our lives, and on the other hand, and when it suits political expediency, we are condemned for ‘not spending enough’ to keep our manufacturers supplied with sufficient cash flow to survive.

No mention, of course, that ever increasing taxation, in whatever guise they use to extract it from us, whether we suffer financial death by VAT, increased transport costs, or a ruinous gas bill, makes little difference, what we haven’t got, we cannot spend! – and without a job, once it’s gone, there is little oportunity, in this bureacracy ridden society to replace it.

All this is seriously affecting the working class’s ability to sustain even a modest lifestyle, let alone the civilised one we have for so long been promised. Once again we are fed the tale – the very tall tale, – ‘that we must suffer today, if we want jam tomorrow!’

What a lying, patronising bunch of duplicitous toe-rags our political class are!…

  2. Ernest,

I reckon you are being very, very unfair to ordinary toe-rags by equating them with bloody politicians, of whatever hue!

  3. Good posting Mike, but here’s the bottom line: we are all living a lie until some politician -probably not David Cameron; owns up to the fact that Westminster is the home of a bunch of puppet politicians ruling over a vassal state, on behalf of the European Union.
Until a leader emerges who has the courage to admit that is the case and outline the problem in detail, we are all stuffed. There is NO real reason why this country should not take back its independence and control over its legal system, policy making and economic vitality. All it takes is for a man or woman of substance to give the people the referendum – which is their birthright in a democratic nation, and allow us to decide whether we want to stay in or come out.
We are being lied to by our own leaders, and bit by bit, little by little we are losing our ability to take control of our own destiny.

  4. Good post Mike and to you Ernest I couldn’t agree more.

The ordinary working man has no chance at all of paying off his credit cards, not while prices of absolutely everything continue to rise. In fact, there is far, far worse to come and people like David Cameron haven’t a clue as to how utterly miserable the average man in the street is feeling right now just trying to make ends meet. I thought his speech pathetic by the way and did you notice how empty the hall was?

  5. Cameron invoking the British bulldog spirit, – hard to decide whether to wryly grin, vomit, or bang my head against the wall!

Is he so totally unaware of the damage the Blairites have done to the Great Britain of yesteryear? The rampant welfarism that has destroyed the character of the working class, the betrayal of the EU version of Human Rights that has all but destroyed out judiciary, the overbearing and stifling bureacracy, that alone has destroyed any momentum our terminally ill economy might have had, – and that is just for a start!

“Britain must show a bulldog “spirit” to see out the economic storm and enjoy the brighter future that will follow, David Cameron promised today.”

Far from any mental picture of a John Bull type bulldog, – why do I get a vision of a shivering, quivering chihuahua? …
