The death sentence on him was a bad move. There will now be an appeal, and the case could go on for years and years. A life sentence with ‘hard labour’ on a chain gang would be perfect punishment, and useful too. Otherwise he’ll be mouldering away in his own cell, watching tele and spinning-out his three meals a day. Otherwise Troll has it right. Death by hanging. No appeal. Mike the guy has a death sentence, is it really kind to needle him? It would be best if everyone – the media, the public, all organisations – simply ignore this man and his case, and let the law take its course one way or the other. This type of terrorist is by nature an exhibitionist, and after hearing his mother it isn’t difficult to see where he got that from. Show them all that the west is where people simply do things according to the rules, stay cool and don’t get angry or excited either way. Yes The many years of hIs life in jail suffIce May he live 200 years there The case calls for a comment Noel, that’s all. You may think very differently if someone you knew well was a victim of this self-aggrandising piece of human excrescence. Pete where is your obligatory “I already did this” comment? git…. There will now be an appeal, and the case could go on for years and years. And the rest. He is safe until 2020 at least. Of course there are some hereabouts who would be happy to see him executed within an hour of the sentence being passed. “He is safe until 2020 at least.” You are right Pete. And the process will cost a fortune. The appeals process is stacked against the appellant what with a judicial system that refuses to budge and the ultimate fate dependent on a politician who if going for re-election. Imprison and rehabilitate. If rehabilitation not possible, imprison for life. Humane and cheaper! You are right Pete. Actually it’s Peter. But for once we agree. Peter, Please accept my humble apologies! 🙂 Thanks Matt. Pete Moore is a worthy opponent, but we are (ahem) quite far apart in our politics on most issues. hang him he was offered life if he wouldn’t appeal he said get screwed… hang him if it takes 20 years and a million dollars who cares. We spend millions studying the mating habits worms, the money means nothing. “hang him” Hanging and the Firing Squad, even the Guillotine are preferable to Lethal Injection or the Chair in it’s two guises but I still stick by my 8:59PM post. Hang Pete? That’s a tad harsh lol…. Not if we hang him by his feet. I know then we could hold a vote to cut him down. See how he feels about voting then. Come on Troll. If you were a real fan of democratic government you’d make me pay for the rope as well. I reckon they should extradite him to the UK. Move him to a jail in Northern Ireland. Give him early release due to the Good Friday agreement. Who knows in a few years he could become a ‘nice’ terrorist. He could stand for election and become the Minister for Justice? I reckon they should extradite him to the UK. Move him to a jail in Northern Ireland. Give him early release due to the Good Friday agreement. Who knows in a few years he could become a ‘nice’ terrorist. He could stand for election and become the Minister for Justice? That’s what the electorate voted for in the referendum JM Those grapes must’ve been really sour if they still taste bitter after so many years. Not really Paul? I accept the results of the referendum but that doesn’t mean i have to agree with it? AS i often say it’s the 30% who voted against who now have no voice. No you don’t have to agree with it just as I and millions like me don’t have to agree with the state of NI. AS I often say it’s the 30% who voted against who now have no voice 28.9% voted against it. Why hasn’t this transformed into Jolly Jimbo votes? I absolutely respect your right to do that Paul and anyone else who feels that way. I respect any political aspiration as long as it’s actions are carried out in a peaceful and democratic manner. I don’t really know why more don’t vote for TUV? Probably a combination of several reasons. 1. They don’t stand in many areas? I suspect they don’t have the same funds as many of the bigger parties to allow them to do so. Where they do stand they do ok? They would have had my vote only no candidate in my area. 2. As an anti agreement Unionist i don’t vote in the elections for the assembly. I don’t think it should exist so why would i vote in an election for it? I assume that others feel in a similar manner. 3. The usual tactical voting in Northern Ireland. People vote to keep someone else out rather than those they actually support. Can’t see that changing any time soon unfortunately. Probably the main reason why TUV don’t top the polls. Jim Allister is a lone voice in the mockery of a Government at Stormont. He can only do so much? As an anti agreement Unionist i don’t vote in the elections for the assembly. I don’t think it should exist so why would i vote in an election for it? Welcome to democracy JM. Jim Allister is a lone voice in the mockery of a Government at Stormont. He can only do so much? Probably because he represents very much a minority position? Pete Moore, on May 17th, 2015 at 2:50 PM Said: Come on Troll.
