Someone at the EPA is about to be fired. They let a report out that shows exactly what everyone already knows, but that they have been denying.

EPA: Fracking doesn’t harm drinking water

In a major blow to environmental activists, the Obama administration said Thursday that the controversial drilling technique known as fracking has not caused any widespread impacts on drinking water, removing a key argument among those who want to limit U.S. oil-and-gas development.  The combination of fracking and horizontal drilling has dramatically transformed the U.S. energy landscape and has helped push domestic production of oil and natural gas to near-record highs. The U.S. is now the world’s No. 1 producer of oil and natural gas.

“From our assessment, we conclude there are above and below ground mechanisms by which hydraulic fracturing activities have the potential to impact drinking water resources … These mechanisms include water withdrawals in times of, or in areas with, low water availability; spills of hydraulic fracturing fluids and produced water; fracturing directly into underground drinking water resources; below ground migration of liquids and gases; and inadequate treatment and discharge of wastewater,” the report reads in part, before coming to its central conclusion.

“We did not find evidence that these mechanisms have led to widespread, systemic impacts on drinking water resources in the United States,” the study says.

How this long known obvious fact actually has been admitted to is the only thing that’s not unknown here. DRILL BABY DRILL !!

The key to Americas future is cheap abundant fuel. We have both.

  1. EPA: Fracking doesn’t harm drinking water

Yeah really? There are quite a few folks in your own fracking state that would say otherwise, but they are probably just atheist-eco-wacky-dem-femino-nazi-commies, no?

But even if it was proved 100% that fracking did run a high risk of pollution you would still be parroting the oilman’s mantra, no? “Drill baby, drill and ***k the consequences, there’s money to be made!”

  2. Yeah really? There are quite a few folks in your own fracking state that would say otherwise

    BULLSHIT!

or are you trying to promote the scam of burning tap water…. never mind that water burned in this state before the white man ever set foot in it.

There has NEVER been water contamination from Fracking in the entire 60yrs that we have been doing it…. but that’s OK Peter don’t let facts get in the way of your religion.

  3. “For the first time, Pennsylvania has made public 243 cases of contamination of private drinking wells from oil and gas drilling operations.”

    Bullshit link here

  4. roflmao

a lunatic climate propaganda site… good source. not to mention that the story that your loon story is pulling from no longer exists… gee how come?

Fracking has NEVER contaminated any water period.

  5. There has NEVER been water contamination from Fracking

    How,could,you possibly know,such a thing

None may have been observed, but modern fracking just started five minutes ago. Nothing has been proven.

BTW your water is a billion times more essential than your gas. Choose accordingly

  6. But even if it was proved 100% that fracking did run a high risk of pollution you would still be parroting the oilman’s mantra, no? “Drill baby, drill and ***k the consequences, there’s money to be made!”

Barack Obama could be set to follow in the footsteps of former Vice President turned environmentalist Al Gore when he leaves office, a veteran naturalist has claimed.
The US President showed his commitment to tackling climate change during a private audience with British TV presenter Sir David Attenborough.
Sir David said he had come away from the meeting feeling that Obama was ‘very much in favour of dealing with climate change’ but got the sense he was ‘wondering what he’s going to do next’.

  7. Isn’t it strange that conservatives tend to be the least concerned about conserving our environment.

Whereas they usually counsel us to be careful and considered before making changes in other spheres, when it comes to the environment it is “drill, baby, drill!”

  8. More joy here for the frakers and their cheerleaders:

“just hours after the EPA released yet another massive study (literally, at just under 1000 pages) which found no evidence that fracking led to widespread pollution of drinking water (an outcome welcome by the oil industry and its backers and criticized by environmental groups), the director of the California Department of Conservation, which oversees the agency that regulates the state’s oil and gas industry, resigned as the culmination of a scandal over the contamination of California’s water supply by fracking wastewater dumping.”

  9. fracking wastewater dumping… in California.

A corrupt Democrat idiot in California disposing of a product improperly. This makes Fracking responsible….. How?

  10. Isn’t it strange that conservatives tend to be the least concerned about conserving our environment.

    What a strange premise.

The great environmental ruins, from post-war city and infratructural rebuilding and atomic test sites to the Semipalatinsks, they all owe their misfortunes to the typically Left Wing desire to forget the past and remake today.

The evidence all around is that only capitalistic ownership of assets can possibly maintain and engance the natural environment.

  11. This makes Fracking responsible….. How?

Because they were responsible for the pollution.

  12. The evidence all around is that only capitalistic ownership of assets can possibly maintain and engance the natural environment.

Really? So National Parks are a bad idea?

  13. your a maroon.

There is waste in every type of production. You cant blame the process because some corrupt idiot didn’t follow the rules…

    You’re reaching Peter.

  14. Peter –

Yes, National Parks are a particularly bad idea. Their record of (unwittingly) encouraging erosion, litter and spoil is quite clear.

  15. Federal control of Parks and National Forrest is the reason we have had such huge wildfires.

  16. Yes, we should give the parks to Shelly Adelson at an insider price so he can pave them over and build casinos on them.

  17. no I just want to drill them full of holes…..

lot a good oil and gas under that land…..
