THE NATURE OF THE SCORPION..

By ATWadmin On October 11th, 2008

Is ANYBODY out there surprised to read that Zimbabwean tyrant Robert Mugabe has allocated key ministries to his own party – in defiance of a power-sharing deal?

The opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) said the move had put the deal “in jeopardy”.  The MDC had signed the power-sharing agreement with Mr Mugabe’s Zanu-PF party on 15 September. But the parties have been deadlocked in allocating ministries and have called back South African mediators. South African President Thabo Mbeki was invited back after a meeting on Friday between Mr Mugabe, MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai and MDC splinter group head Arthur Mutambara. But state media on Saturday reported that Mr Mugabe had allocated the ministries responsible for the army, police and other state security to Zanu-PF

OF COURSE he will do this. It is in the nature of the scorpion to sting and Mugabe is a thug, a despot, a cruel evil man who is merely playing with the notion of powe-sharing. I have opposed the Mbeke brokered deal from day one and believe no good will come of it. You just CANNOT compromise with tyrants whilst they hold the whip hand in power.

  1. Mugabe? Who’s he?

Two years ago Barclays Bank ‘invested’ £500 million in Zim. No doubt it has since been frittered away on pangas, machetes, clubs and AK47s, but now that the crashing worldwide banking system is shown to be as corrupt as anything an african dictator could aspire to, we can look forward to the rest of Africa becoming a Zimbabwean slurry pit.

  3. Stephen.

There’s no point in negotiating with Mugabe. He needs kicked out of office. He is a tyrant plain and simple. But who will do it?
