795151-574497-thumbnail.jpgInteresting to read that Tony Blair has decided to give the Pope a lesson in morality! Blair has told the Vatican that it needs to drop its opposition to the use of condoms in Africa. Blair was waffling on about this as part of his PR drive on World Aids Day yesterday, the day that heterosexuals everywhere pretend that Aids is something other than a disease that overwhelmingly afflicts the homosexual community because of its perverse practises. Do you agree with Tony? I have to be honest and say that I back the view of the Pope on this one! I prefer Christian based morality to political based drivel.

So, Mr Macho Call Me Dave Cameron has told his Party it must back his drive to modernise or face a fourth consecutive general election defeat. Mr Cameron told the Daily Cameron that it was "tough" if traditional Tories concerned by the direction he is taking the party were annoyed "along the way". (How brave he is..) He said the party had to "change to reflect changes to British society". (MMmm, what changes does he mean, exactly? Dhimmitime?) The party had been wrong at the last general election to focus on issues like Europe and immigration, he added.

Of course. People don’t really care about immigration, or the tyrannies from the EU. They’re not bothered about the threat from militant Islam, or about paying lower taxes.

The MAIN THINGS that the UK electorate concerns itself with is the melting ice caps and the urgent need to bring about further redistribution of wealth i.e. socialism. If you want higher taxation, greater Government interference in your life, then Cameron is the man for you.

But shouldn’t he be HONEST and stop calling himself a Conservative? I mean his current media game is to set up and slay Conservative dragons to the enthusiastic applause from the leftwing media gallery. If he had any convictions, he would rename the Party he leads as the ConLiberal Alliance – the unspeakable in pursuit of power at any price!

brownPA250906_228x242.jpgMy utter contempt for the political class is exemplified in the news that  air passengers are to face higher taxes in a mini-Budget to be unveiled by Gordon Brown next week.  The Chancellor will announce increases in air passenger duty (APD) on Wednesday in an attempt to demonstrate that the Government is serious about tackling emissions linked to global warming. He plans to double the current tax rate. His rationale is that this will help save the world. Are we REALLY so stupid as to swallow this guff served up by Brown? Do we ENJOY being taxed until the pip squeak? This entire "We have to raise taxes to save the Earth" is such an obvious scam driven by the Left and their handmaidens in the MSM.

obeseafri.jpgDid you read that more than one-third of African women and a quarter of African men are estimated to be overweight, and the World Health Organisation predicts that will rise to 41 percent and 30 percent respectively in the next 10 years? Wow – time to stop feeding the world? Should Geldof be asked for reparations?

union flag.jpgI found this article over on The Business on the future of the United Kingdom to be very interesting. It’s well worth a read as it contains more than a streak of truth…..

Next May is the 300th anniversary of the Union of the Scottish and English Parliaments, which followed the Union of the Crowns in 1603 and began the United Kingdom. It should be a cause for much celebration of one of the most successful Unions the world has ever seen, one which (along with the Welsh and the Ulster-Scots) dominated the 19th century through the British Empire, played a crucial role in seeing off the great 20th century evils of fascism and communism and which remains an important economic, diplomatic and military power, even in the 21st century.

But instead of celebration the air is thick with talk of divorce on both sides of the border. What was put together in 1707 might soon be about to come apart. It has not yet dawned on the rest of the world that, in the foreseeable future, there might not be a United Kingdom.

The Scots have periodically flirted with independence. In the past, when polls north of the border showed growing support for a separate Scotland, the English were distressed and powerful voices on both sides of the border were marshalled to keep the Union intact. This time it is different: Scottish Nationalism is on the rise once more and this time the English are inclined to say: “Go if you want to”. Indeed, one poll last weekend showed that support for Scottish independence is even greater among the English than it is among the Scots. Thus do both nationalities conspire to kill the United Kingdom and with it the very concept of being British

I see that the the Iranian backed terrorist cabal Hezbollah are cranking up the pressure on the Lebanese Government to quit.  Hundreds of thousands of frenzied supporters of Hezbollah and its pro-Syrian allies have held a mass rally in Beirut to protest against Lebanon’s government. Amid tight security, demonstrators chanted slogans denouncing Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora.

The opposition says it will keep up the pressure until the government resigns. The protests follow weeks of rising tension in Lebanon, with the killing of a leading anti-Syrian politician and resignations from the cabinet. Nice to see Iran acting as a stablising force in the region. Should we tell the Fabulous Baker Boys?

Here’s another song from my EC jukebox. The thing to note here is the superb wordplay. Can you identify the quote from a popular song by the Beatles? And what you think of line…"You lack lust, You’re so lacklustre.." MarvellousI suppose you could say this is driving with an offensive attitude!
