I like this;

Ann Romney’s debut on Twitter couldn’t have come at a more opportune time. Ann’s first tweet came just moments after Democratic strategist and DNC adviser Hilary Rosen lobbed an insult at Ann Romney, suggesting that the 64-year-old mother of five and grandmother of 16 had never held a job.

Guess what, his wife has actually never worked a day in her life,” said Rosen, who was being interviewed by CNN’s Anderson Cooper about the “war on women.”

And then, just like that, a familiar name popped up on Twitter: @AnnDRomney.

“I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys. Believe me, it was hard work,” Ann tweeted.

Well said, Ann. I am sure that astute readers will note how the Dems instantly seek to sully the reputation of Mitt’s wife. I also hope Dems now accept commentary on the lovely Michelle in similar vein.

Update; Michelle has spoken….

  1. I am glad Mrs. Romney fired back, she is quite right to do so. it was a stupid comment and easily dismissed.

However, I don’t see “Dems” lining up in support of of that attack on Mrs. Romney, do you David? if so, please advise who.

  2. OK, Mahons, fair comment, I did notice Rosen’s initial follow up;

“I am raising children too. But most young American women HAVE to BOTH earn a living AND raise children. You know that don’t u?” she tweeted to Ann Romney Wednesday night.

The response of her fellow Dems in condemning her is interesting. The words damage control come to mind…

  3. Having raised a family, not only has she worked all days but she’s done the most important of all work.

It takes a feminist headbanger to dismiss the great and noble work of the mother and housewife.

  4. David – People on any side of the aisle can and should condemn someone who clearly oversteps as this Rosen woman did. I admire Mrs. Romney and think the attack on her was cheap and unfounded. I would anticipate that most peopel would concur.

  5. This was a Democratic Party attack on Ann Romney, Hilary Rosen was just the mouthpiece. This is going to be a very dirty election.

  6. I don’t know, it shows Mitt Romney in a bad light when compared to Barack Obama- the first thing Obama did when he became senator was shovel a million dollars of taxpayers’ cash to a hospital to give Michelle Obama a a ludicrously over compensated pretend job.

Surely if Mitt Romney were a more devoted husband he would have looted Massachussetts tax payers in a similar manner to keep Mrs Romney in the style to which she is accustomed.

  7. Huffington Post has thousands of comments of this from brain dead Dems saying its no big deal.

    Romney says what Obama thinks.

  8. I don’t know, it shows Mitt Romney in a bad light when compared to Barack Obama- the first thing Obama did when he became senator was shovel a million dollars of taxpayers’ cash to a hospital to give Michelle Obama a a ludicrously over compensated pretend job

    .

    Absolutely true.

And don’t nobody ask how Obama bought his house or who he bought it from. Don’t do it.

  9. Groan ! We’ve got months and months of all these overhyped, over exaggerated, faux outrages to come from both sides. Wake me up after the first Tuesday in November.

  10. There are so many talking heads on the 24 hour news cycle that this type of nonsense will be generated more often (especially since we now have a right v left contest, and not just a fight among the righties). Rosen “speaks” for Dems who agree with her, and the majority do not.

  11. Rosen is a hatchet woman who planted her bit of poison. Michelle and Barack can cluck their pretend disapproval of the comment and will seem like nice people because of it. But a trace of the poison remains.

This is how it works, boys.

  12. Mahons this woman is the asst to the head of the DNC, she reiterated the attack 3 times and if you read here “apology” after a 8 lines of non real apolagy on line 9 she blames the GOP and their war on women.

Why is it leftists like you can never admit when their team made a mistake, and why hassen’t Debbie Wasserman Schultz been asked to fire her asst? This is also the woman that set Sandra Fluke up to testify at Pelousies phoney hearing.

Each day the left dig themselves a deeper and deeper hole, it may be playing in NY, but it’s not anywhere else.

  13. How convenient that this non-story deflects attention from Zimmerman’s appearance in court, charged with the murder of Trayvon Martin. Of course, Rightworld has already decided that he’s innocent and these are political charges. How long before Fox-Limbaa start a fighting fund for their hero’s defence?

  14. These people don’t say one single thing that hasn’t been scripted and vetted and discussed.

  15. mmmmmmmmmm I don’t think it’s a nonstory. It’s an everyday story (unlike Trayvon’s story that is unique). I think Ms Romney tweeted well. But as a mom who had to work, I have a hard time relating to her. Then again, she’ll never have any effect on my life so nothing lost/nothing gained. Remember a hundred years ago when Bilary made the “stand by your man” faux pas? Everyone talked about it but at the end of the day, it affected nada.

  16. Peter no rightworld will await what happens in court, will will also wait for the Justice Dept to charge the Head of the Black Pantehers with the Felonony for putting a dead or alive bounty on someone.

To try and acuse the right of anything concerning the events in Florida is just further proof of your insanity on a multitude of issues as it has been the left that has been trying to evoke race riots.

  17. Peter –

These comments from a Democrat are a fiendish Right Wing plan? Nope, no idea.

The comments do sit within the “war on women” line which the DNC has been pushing about the GPO, but they seem to have backfired somewhat.

I’m not sure that the Right has found zimmerman innocent. It seems that patriots and conservatives have been calling for calm while the MSM/Democrat complex has been whipping up race war by tampering with evidence and calling for whites to be shot, as per The Kenyan’s old chums the New Black Panthers.

  18. LOL! “Patriots and conservatives” turned the victim into the guilty party and bent over backwards to support the perp. And they will continue to do this.

  19. isn’t funny that pointing out that this woman is the head of the DNCs right hand woman is boring. hmmm or that her apolagy which I have read where I’m sure you haven’t was an apolagy, and even placed blame on the gop for her comments.

Tell me mahons whats it it like to live in a world that facts and truth mean nothing?
