The Olympic lanes will cross some of the most congested areas of London and are aimed at facilitating the speedy movement of athletes, International Olympic Committee members, Olympic sponsors and the media. Included roads are the main arterial road from Central London to Docklands and the heavily used Embankment.

  1. Zil lanes for the apparatchiks.
Never thought I’d see such Soviet style bollox on the streets of our capital.
All for a two week hop skip and jump festival. Utterly shameful.

As one of my fave bloggers puts it.

    >A complete waste of public money on an anachronistic clusterfuck.
    >If it was worth doing, it’d be viable as a private venture, like football, or F1

I long for the day when Nanny state just fecks right off and leaves us to run our lives on our own.

  2. Do not fret Komrades, "nothing to fear, nothing to hide"

Enjoy the games with full knowledge, you are being watched … just in case you step out of line, or carry out anything which is not State approved

See, you are all equal .. you are all possible suspects !

More wasting of money you apparently have not got, still paranoia against the massess dont come cheap.

Steady demand from government civilian agencies is pushing the air surveillance market in Europe, especially for unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs), civil helicopters, multi mission aircraft and airborne radars.

"The civil security air surveillance market in Europe will benefit from growing co-operation between EU member states and the industry," says Frost & Sullivan Program Manager Balaji Srimoolanathan.

"Large-scale events like the 2012 Summer Olympics in London will be a testing ground for civil UAVs."

Civil security air surveillance is used in urban networks for law enforcement, maritime surveillance, emergency medical services, earth observation, and in the energy sector. There is significant potential in these sectors for air surveillance and greater cooperation among industry participants is making the market business critical.

Mind how you go now Komrades ..

  3. It’s arrived at last, though to be honest I assumed the Zil lane announcement telling the peasants to keep away from their betters would have come sooner.

  4. I think that hosting an Olympics is the most stupid thing any city / country could ever want to do, but —if you’re going to have the unfortunate duty to host the thing, then accommodations like this are reasonable.

You very much want the games to be flawless in execution, with the whole world watching.

  5. Phantom –

    True.

I’ve suggested to the organisers that the British shooting team practice on the homeless and stray dogs. If our city is to look its best and impress the world we can’t have any of that untidyness which states so hate.

Great idea, pity just like most other things in Great Britain, its illegal … so that makes it also illegal for the British shooting team to even practice in there own totalitarian country, if i am not so terribly mistaken, the British shooting team laughably have to travel to another country to practice.

Saying that, lets hope the British shooting team do well, and that would be in spite of the previous bunch of crazy totalitarian Zanu- labour goons .. and not because of them.

  7. Leave the stray dogs be. There is a waste of a good hotel in SW1 with 646 squatters in it that would make good target practice. They even have a shooting range in the cellars.
