Well, it’s been a loooong day and I finally get to relax – so here is my musical choice for the evening. I can remember buying this single when it came out (or a “45” as it known back then), and in fact I can remember the “B” side which was called “Mama liked the roses”! It’s a bit theatrical but still a good old tune belted out by The King! Hard to imagine that Elvis was only 42 when he died, so young when you think about it. I may be a major fan of the other Elvis, but only a musical heretic could fail to see that genius in Mr Presley.

  1. A bit theatrical indeed, David, but that was Elvis. I’m not into the overblown usually, but there was always a cheeky charm with him. Great stuff.
