It’s reported that;

“People who fail to pay their fine after they have been convicted for criminal behaviour could lose up to £25 a week in benefits, the government has said. Prime Minister David Cameron said the measure was being introduced as a deterrent, adding that the current system was “too soft”. At the moment, people who fail to pay a fine on time can have £5 a week deducted from their benefit payments. One Liberal Democrat MP has described the proposals as “drastic”. (lol, DV)

Here’s a more radical view. If convicts can be bothered paying for their crime, why are they receiving ANY further benefit?

  1. This won’t be implemented, although it should. Any attempt to impose such a reduction will be challenged as a ‘human rights’ abuse and will be overturned in the courts.
