Like the lads said in the Book of Ecclesiastes, there’s a time for everything. Yesterday, it was a time for the drones.

God bless those who design, build and operate these lovely machines. Because when you have your man spotted, nothing delivers instant karma better than these bad boys.

Instant Karmas’s gonna get you
Gonna knock you right on the head
You better get yourself together
Pretty soon, you’re gonna be dead
What in the world you thinking of
Laughing in the face of love
What on heart you tryin’ to do
It’s up to you, yeah you

Instant Karma’s gonna get you
Gonna look you right in the face
You better get yourself together darlin’
Join the human race
How in the world you gonna see
Laughin’ at fools like me
Who in the heck d’you think you are
A super star
Well, alright you are

Well we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun
Well we all shine on
Ev’ryone come on

  1. They were already mad at him for getting Osama.

This is all against the script of him being a secret Muslim Communist agent.

  2. Let’s just look at what is being argued here. Today (30th Seotember 2011), Associated Press reports:

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama declared the killing of a fiery American-born cleric in Yemen a “major blow” to al-Qaida’s most dangerous affiliate, and vowed a vigorous U.S. campaign to prevent the terror network and its partners from finding a haven anywhere in the world.

BUT in December 2009, he was claimed as dead –

Is he, al-Awlaki, more dead this time than the previous time and, if so, what supports these assertions?

(I’ll be the US Navy SEALS are glad that they weren’t ‘credited’ with the kill. Dead drones tell no tales)

  3. This is all against the script of him being a secret Muslim Communist agent

Yeah, no doubt the happily-married Sarah Palin will avoid giving credit where its is due, just as she did when OBL was hit by order of the Chief a few months back. And of course Fox ….

  4. The crackpot radio was worse than Fox. These guys were pissed that it was Obama who ordered the reaction.

If the mission had gone wrong, they would have wanted Obama run out of town on a rail.

Hard right = Hard Left = Hardly A Thought.

  5. Al-Awlaki’s second obituary should be in next month’s edition of al-qaeda’s glossy magazine Inspire:

    http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/iran-cia-writes-al-qaeda-magazine-inspire/story?id=14632504

Last month’s, which featured Osama bin Laden on the front page headed Sadness, Contentment and Aspiration, said that Osama bin Laden fought back in a “vicious battle” with the U.S. Navy SEALs before his death in May. (ABC News). This will be difficult to confirm as the Navy SEALS who were there are now dead.

Is this possibly an ‘in-flight’ magazine? Americans may want to check the ‘jobs’ section as I’m sure that there would be more opportunities for employment within terrorists’ PR and HR departments than there are in the US economy.

(posted in a previous thread but valid to this one)

  6. Bit ironic having Lennon here?
Well known supporter of the IRA and a Marxist?
I’m quite sure that had this pathetic excuse for a man been alive today he would not have approved of this action.

  7. Phantom – check out al-qaeda’s monthly glossy magazine for me as it is evidently a US-based publication. Does it have any advertisements for ale-houses?

  8. JM – I’m sure that John Lennon would be having a laugh at the morons who believe this nonsense time after time after time…..

What has been shown is that:

    1. al-Awlaki, US citizen and recipient of a degree in Civil Engineering in 1994 from Colorado State University, had links with the 9/11 squad, the Fort Hood gunman – and the US military
    2. He was claimed dead in December 2009
    3. He is claimed dead again today

  9. Yes, but today he is really dead, no kidding. Along with another AQ general. Of course the drone damage might make a corpse pic difficult, so there will be have to be DNA evidence as a substitute.

What evidence do you need Allan? I assume you accept that OBL has been called home to face the 100 virgins (seems a bit much after his 20 wives, but hey, Allah knows best).

  10. no doubt the happily-married Sarah Palin will avoid giving credit where its is due

    🙂

She’ll be on that like ‘white on rice.’

    Erm!

  11. Peter – he is really dead and you know this for sure because BHO said so. Well, if that’s good enough for you… 🙂

It is quite possible that the ‘intelligence’ (surely a misnomer) services got their info wrong and slected a guy whom they had already claimed dead to be used for BHO’s electoral boost from the ‘War on terror’ franchise.

Anyway, if it’s in al-qaeda’s monthly glossy magazine, then I’ll believe it. After all, what’s not to believe?

  12. what a load of crap, Allan take your medication.

Obama did nothing, I’m sure he was on the golf course when any thing happened. The Military did it, and the nasty black ops people at that. It is said there is film of the little Islamic faggot running for his life as the predator fired it’s second missile. I guess Allah commanded him to run…lol.

I have a question if Obama inherited all of the economic problems still 3 years into his presidency, how is it he has not inherited all the good little things like this?

Must be nice all bad George Bush, all good Barry Obama. What a pack of sheep

  13. Troll – the military did what? Did the military carry out the first killing of al-Awlaki in December 2009 or the second in September 2011?

“It is said there is film….” Said where and by whom – references please and back it up with more than “we dumped his body in the sea….” etc.

Does the spotty youth who operated the drone realise just how much danger he is in if/when the events as described by the ‘authorities’ become challenged? If 25 US navy SEALS can be whacked in a single operation, then anybody can be silenced.

  14. call the cia Allan I’m sure they’ll arrange a personal showing just for you. of course then they’ll kill you and have your dead body stuffed into the cockpit of a remote controlled plane

  15. Seriously, Troll – did the military carry out the first killing of al-Awlaki in December 2009 or the second in September 2011?

Please don’t deny that the death of al-Awlaki wasn’t claimed in 2009 as I would have to call you a liar if you did so, and that is unworthy of this site particularly as I posted a link to US mainstream TV which claimed al-Awlaki’s death.

What do you reckon happened in 2009 and how did al-Awlaki manage to return from the dead? If his death is announced in al-qaeda’s glossy, monthly publication, would that clinch it for you?

If al-qaeda’s monthly glossy magazine, Inspire, turns out to be profitable, should a US corporation buy it?

  16. Peter

Jeremy’s Ale House has been a fixture in lower Manhattan ( South St Seaport area, close to the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge ) for a few decades now I believe. It’s a comfy dive bar, and on the divier side of the dive bar universe.

They lost their lease in the old location, a converted truck garage with all the comfort one might expect in such a location. They attracted a highly diverse crowd, from workers in the old Fulton Fish Market who would arrive at 7am when their nightwork shifts ended, to Wall St types in suits and ties. The ties would at times be confiscated by the staff and nailed to the wall. This evolved into a tradition whereby women would remove their bras to hang them from the ceiling.

The new location on Front Street, is a lot smaller, and is smack dab by my office. It maintains the extreme minimalist ambiance in a tighter spot.

Their specialty is cheap beer served in one quart containers, and surprisingly edible bar grub.

There really is a Jeremy. He is a native of England, and he’s one of the good guys.

People either love this place or they loathe it. I think it’s great, and I may have to stroll down there sometime soon.
