David Hogg High School Dropout and survivor of Marjory Stoneman Douglas Shooting delivers a speech at the March For Our Lives rally. This little Fascist is the face of lefts move to seize Law Abiding Americans Firearms.

Here is his speech where he promises to bring his GUN SEIZURE politics to every election in the country.  God I hope he does. The Republicans after this Budget debacle are in bad shape, however if this little High School Dropout brings his gun confiscation rhetoric to every race…. shoot we’ve been saved.

  1. David Hogg.

    Survivor, High School dropout, Activist.

    And crisis actor extraordinaire.

  2. All the bad guys / conspiracy nuts are villifying this 17 year old survivor of a mass murder. I hope that you’re proud of yourselves.

  3. The family of slain Parkland student Meadow Pollack was disinvited from speaking at the March for Our Lives rally in Washington, DC. The family is not pushing gun control, but rather securing our schools and protecting our children.

The march is so political, so contrived, only the dullest specimens could be sucked in by it.

  4. They are rallies for Progressive politics, Phantom, the first such in the midterm campaign. It’s about energising the Left via a contrived cause. The point is November.

I’ve told you, the Left need guns out there. They need them to campaign against. Elitist commies don’t want guns taken away, and not just because they’re protected by them.

  5. You might think that they would think for a minute about the point that these large groups of students are trying to say, as led by the survivors of a massacre.

No, not for one second do they do that.

    They only think about themselves.

  6. You might think that they would think for a minute about the point that these large groups of students are trying to say, as led by the survivors of a massacre.

    Facile.

Why should I? I’m an adult. I can think for myself. These students are not thinking for themselves, and what they went through is neither here nor there. You might as well outsource US Middle East policy to Iraqi infants.

The students are puppets. They are fronting an obviously organised Left Wing campaign. The point is to re-energise Left Wing politics, which until Parkland was campaigning on pussy hats.

  7. Anyway, you commies carry on. Saturday evening is a time for art and beauty. I was going to post the most beautiful image, one so beautiful that even a commie might have recognised greatness. Alas it will have to wait.

I’ve made my point. You may have the final whinge.

  8. Common sense gun controls are not any sort of left wing issue. Please don’t mangle the language.

And yes, these bright young people are thinking for themselves, certainly as much as anyone here thinks for themselves.

  9. The students aren’t thinking for themselves because if they were they would be obviously be following Pete’s slavish gun porn pro NRA cheerleading agenda even as the bullets fly and the bodies drop across America.

  10. How does this dupe get so much air-time? His spiel is well-rehearsed, even when he was supposedly in hiding during the attack.

  11. Honestly thought Pete and PVR would have been more triggered by the Citibank news two days ago.

Citigroup is setting restrictions on the sale of firearms by its business customers, making it the first Wall Street bank to take a stance in the divisive nationwide gun control debate.

The new policy, announced Thursday, prohibits the sale of firearms to customers who have not passed a background check or who are younger than 21. It also bars the sale of bump stocks and high-capacity magazines. It would apply to clients who offer credit cards backed by Citigroup or borrow money, use banking services or raise capital through the company.

Instead they’re angry at teenagers speaking their minds and marching peacefully.

When corporate america decides to come for your guns, you might want to pay attention. They have more power to drive legislation and the cultural agenda than 10 million non-voting teenagers.

  12. BOOM

    @bri_sacks

I spoke with about 10 teens who recently registered or pre-registered to vote, either here at the #MarchForOurLivesLA or at their schools. They say the movement has galvanized their friends to get politically involved and many are sharing the links across social media

This has nothing to do with so-called gun control. It’s just the same old story – yet more far-Left political kiddie fiddling. Roiling up the kids, getting them fired up, because adults don’t vote for subversive Marxist filth.

    But the teens will.

  13. This has nothing to do with so-called gun control.

The “So-called” meme is so beloved of Rightworld. Other examples of this propaganda:

    “So-called” climate change
    “So-called” war on drugs
    “So-called” austerity
    “So-called” racism
    “So-called” anti-semitism
    “So-called” misogyny
    “So-called” Russian aggression
    “So-called” Trump lies

    Yada yada yada

  14. Great young lad, has passion, good speech,
the triggered right are as miserable as sin , which is not new
any farther would be proud to have a son like that .

  15. It frightens me a lot.

Two thins – the avalanche of immigration from primitive societies and the mobilisation of juvenile minds by Marxists – they convince me that human civilisation is done for.

Not that you give a fuck.

  16. You are becoming deranged Pete. My god you really can’t stand the idea of people having political views that differ from yours. What patronising garbage to claim these youngsters must be dupes brainwashed by Marxists just because you don’t agree with them.

  17. you’re just triggered pete and talking paranoid rubbish
colm will explain later or daphne or Dave or phantom or paul or peter
I gotta crash , early start

  18. When corporate america decides to come for your guns, you might want to pay attention. They have more power to drive legislation

Yes Daphne. Trump has given Wall Street everything it has asked for since January 2017, including rolling back on the Obama regulations designed to prevent another banking melt-down. But he won’t give them any meaningful gun control, because the NRA is a huge part of his base and it has bought and paid for both him and his party. He has already reneged on the promises he made after the Florida school massacre, after a meeting with his paymasters.

  19. Tired of your commie bullshit, but not at all emotional. That’s a woman thing.

So commies, how did Chicago, Detroit and Baltimore react to this rally? Dem bloods n crips n ting giving up dem 9-mill n ting?

  20. Never thought I’d see Pete Moore tossed by young folks appropriately expressing, in peaceful way, an opposing policy view.

I’m always amazed by the hardened right wing/alt-right to see nefarious deep state conspiracy theories as the reason why large constituencies oppose their preferred policy outcomes.

Maybe people just don’t agree with you. That’s how democracy works in an open civil society.

  21. Peter, while Trump is extremely friendly to Wall Street, he did ban Bump Stocks yesterday.

I’m sure Pete and PVR are peeved about that as well.

  22. Maybe people just don’t agree with you.

And yet Trump is the president and the 2nd Amendment stands. So even more people don’t agree with you.

    Fortunately.

  23. When corporate america decides to come for your guns, you might want to pay attention.

I paid attention to its share price. It’s down 5 per cent in the last few days.

  24. A few years ago Pete was a relaxed and confident Conservative leaning libertarian here on ATW. Now he has become a parady of a right wing foaming disgusted Daily Mail ranter mixed with intolerant snowflake tendencies at the sight of anything that dissents from his worldview. Sad.

  25. I never attended the commie rally, I never followed it, and yet –

    @TheEconomist

Speakers at the March for our Lives in Washington, DC repeatedly urged protesters to vote in the upcoming mid-term elections

I was so right about it. I was so right it’s spooky. It’s nothing to do with guns. It’s a far-Left kiddie fiddling political rally. As I said, it’s about energising the Left for November.

    I am always right.

  26. Trump won’t be president forever. No criticism of Trump’s ban on bump stocks? I thought you loved those capitalist ingenuities.

Considering Trump’s bizzare trade war announcements, Citibank is down like everybody else. To say true to form you should be yowling about his assault on knee capping free trade agreements that allow americans to buy lots of cheap shit from China.

  27. The Trump-worship has nothing to do with any political matter.

    They’re in love with him.

    End of.

  28. Daphne –

No criticism of Trump’s ban on bump stocks? I thought you loved those capitalist ingenuities.

I’ve given you no reason to think so. You made that up. That’s dishonest.

To say true to form you should be yowling about his assault on knee capping free trade agreements that allow americans to buy lots of cheap shit from China.

I did. You weren’t paying attention.

  29. Good speech I have a fine young man, I just listened to it

I am sure that I can speak for all here when I say that we’re all proud of him

  30. Trump just signed a 1.3 Trillion dollar spending bill. US national debt is 21 Trillion dollars. He wanted more spending, Planned Parenthood got a nice increase. I don’t see why any fiscal conservative is pro-Trump.

He just hired Bolton, a fierce war hawk who advocates for war with NK and Iran, which doesn’t seem at all in line with your libertarian sensibilities.

Trump is crass, ignorant, personally immoral, lies every time he opens his mouth and holds none of your libertarian convictions on any political matter.

I’m at a complete loss as to why you support this jackass.

  31. Pete Moore is exactly the type of person who should not have guns. If he does have any they should be confiscated.

  32. Phantom, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see the Parkland Five get nominated for a Nobel Peace prize. The march turnout in Texas today was beyond all expectations. Something’s afoot in our country with the gun issue and while I don’t expect any quick or drastic changes, I think change will come in small measures a bit at a time.

I also think corporate america will drive the change in more fundamental ways than social marches can ever achieve, although these young people will be the catalysts that spark corporate america to push politicians to curb gun access in our country.

  33. Pete would be fine with a gun. He’s a good guy, just a tad lit lately on Trump.

Might need a winsome, gorgeous wife though.

  34. yes we’re all in love with Trump and we are all fanatics…..

Where do you see me objecting to the young dropout speaking his piece?

Where do you see me saying he should stop?

Where do you see me not looking at Trump with an objective eye?

I have been maligned by certain people commenting on this thread, and maligned dishonestly. If you have criticism of me and my positions base them on what I say not your “feelings”. That’s why you are called bleeding hearts. You can not think. You are ruled by your emotions, all logical and honest thought is crushed by your emotion.

David Hogg is a High School Drop out, yet because he has witnessed a horrendous act he is being treated as a qualified spokesman for a political position and he’s not yet even a man.

He needs to be in therapy not on stage, but instead he is being exploited by adults with an agenda.

As for his message he is entitled to it, and I also hope he continues to deliver it and with high exposure.

As for this continued accusation by the crazed NYr that anyone who supports Trump is a blind follower it is all he can see because that’s how he is, and has proved himself to be with his doggish devotion to Obama not just during Obama’s presidency but still to this day he can not bring himself to see the abuses of Power his idle engaged in.

No Phantom you are the only one on this site with a blind devotion to anyone. I’ve criticized Trump on a regular basis, I don’t write for the other site I do 99% technical, but Trumps screw up the other day with this budget was so bad and the reaction by some so vile I had to comment on both, and did a piece.

    https://altnewsmedia.net/opinion/vetoes-not-violence-words-must-remain-our-weapon-of-choice/

  35. I opposed Obama, voted against him twice , I just disagreed with the bullshit on this pages of calling him a dictator and all that idiotic uninformed racially tinged ( “ Kenyan “ ) blather

Your criticism of Crony capitalist Donald Trump has been lets just say very mild. Yes you have bashed him with a feather, in an occasional, humorous, slagging, entirely unserious way,

  36. did you read my article?

And sorry Phantom I have never called Obama a Dictator nor was I ever a birther. I have only repeatedly pointed out that he has broken the law, that he has acted as a dictator with his abuses of power.

Abuses of power that you still refuse to acknowledge. In the eight years of his Presidency link to 3 negative posts you wrote about him. I can link to a half dozen pieces I have written and more than twice that amount of comments against Trump in his first year.

Including the article I wrote above. Read it. I’d be interested in your review.

It’s no mystery Daphne. Trump hates everything that Obama ever did. And that’s enough for these guys. They will ditch their “libertarian” and “free market” and “anti-war” principles in a heartbeat if their hero decides to step up “the war on drugs” or caves in to Wall Street even further or declares war on Iran or NK or whoever. Because Trump is on their side in the culture war. He is “pro-life” and “pro-gun” and nothing else matters.

  38. I don’t think that Trump cares one way or the other about abortion, and he certainly doesn’t give a rats ass about Jesus. His entire life has been contrary to everything that Christ ever taught.

I will concede the point that he likes guns and thinks that pistols and other firearms have human rights that must be respected above the rights of actual persons.

  39. What a blanket statement Peter…. you use the term these guys name names.

I support Trump and your description comes no where near my position except on two.

their “libertarian” and “free market” and “anti-war” principles “pro-life” and “pro-gun” and nothing else matters.

I am not Libertarian, I am Free Market,(but also fair market) do you even know what that means?

    I am certainly NOT anti-war, nor Pro-life but I am pro-gun.

    So please no blanket statements.

  40. I am Free Market,(but also fair market)

That usually means protectionism. I doubt that we will get any explanation about what that means

  41. it means fair trade….. no tariffs on us no tariffs on you…. if you tax us and our goods we should apply an EQUAL tax on yours…. that is real free market.

No country should apply any penalties on the goods of another period…. that’s what that means.

No comment on my article huh…. You haven’t got an honorable bone in your body do you?

  42. David Hogg is the son of a teacher and a former FBI agent. He’s an articulate 17 year old senior declining to return to Parkland for his senior year. I suspect he’ll be just fine finishing up at a community college or transferring to another high school and will graduate and go on to university. The young man comes from a solid middle class, well educated family.

I expect Hogg’s future college prospects will far exceed the dreams of at least one parent on this thread.

  43. Take your meds. Insulting people to get them to read your article guarantees that no one will read it

Every country or almost every one has tariffs. The only big group that doesn’t have tariffs is trade within the “ EUSSR “.

Having the American worker compete against workers making five dollars a day is fair according to you, fully compliant with your definition and that is exactly what has been happening ever since Nixon got back from China

  44. PVR is as qualified to speak on serious economic and foreign policy matters as I am on deciding that he requires a stent in his heart.

No one on this site has any serious expertise in governmental policy, foreign affairs or legislative work. ATW is a bunch of blowhards whining about stuff that they’ll never actually change.

These kids and the crowds they’ve turned out have done more to impact policy than anyone on this site has ever done behind their sticky keyboards.

You type and gripe, they organize and act.

  45. //Trump hates everything that Obama ever did. And that’s enough for these guys.//

Not quite enough. Trump also represents an the man’s man white America. What’s not to adore about him.

Saw Bowling for Columbine last night for the first time; some parts done not so well, some very well, But all good fun.

But Moore is probably another fascist commie.

  46. Daphne –

Again, I don’t support Trump, but the alternative is not just worse – it would be catastrophically worse.

I agree about the Bill he signed, and he might have signed his death knell. The Left is energising itself around “think of the childrens” while Trump’s support is pissed at what he just did. The result might be a blue wave in November. If so, impeachment is back on the table.

Impeachment for what? Nothing, but like Brexit here, the power elites are simply determined to overturn what the people voted for. This is why it’s vital that they are resisted. If Brexit is blocked or Trump falls then any idea that a vote means something us dead.

Then more ad more people will start voting for “extreme” parties.

  47. Typical ATW right wing nonsense. A teenager denounced as a fascist because he is advocating a view opposed by rightworld. Using an ironic fascist tactic, his position is distorted, almost beyond comprehension.

In other news, Pete Moore abandons two years of supporting Trump to announce he is not a Trump supporter.

  48. Pete you are all over the place. Your claim that you don’t support Trump is absurd, given virtually every post about him you have put up since (and before) his election. Republicans spent most of Clinton’s presidency trying to impeach him. Did you moan about it then ? You claim you want the Brexit referendum honoured and Parliament should not be permitted to rescind yet I can recall when you used to post here a firm opposition to what you regarded as the foreign habit of “Plebiscites” being alien to the British Parliamentary way of governance and you were not a supporter of that sort of Democracy having primacy. All of a sudden now such a single issue referendum is sacrosanct and Parliamentary supremacy can go whistle. As to your rant earlier about the call by these young gun control supporters to vote for what they believe in later this year being an example of them being “duped” by the left, why does voting that way demonstrate a duplicitous fakeness whereas the vote for Trump and Brexit was “the will of the people” ?

  49. he’s a 17 year old High School dropout Daphne being used as a pawn. He should be in therapy not on stage.

    Phantom… go…. to….. hell….

    On all counts….

This post did it’s job it started conversation, as for insulting you… somebody has to.

Daphne if I remember you used to host fund raisers did you not?

As for me I’ve held both minor elected and unelected political office. I’ve helped run statewide political organizations and if I hadn’t got sick would have run unopposed for Judge the seat was mine.

I know organized campaigns and this is one.

  51. Moore is quick-witted and fun.

The scene in NRA’s Charles Heston’s house was priceless. He completely wiped the floor with Heston on his own home ground (literally). In the end Heston stormed off in a huff when he (finally) realised how Moore was making such a fool of him.

Some of the scenes were a bit twee, like when he left the photo of the dead child leaning against a wall de coté de chez Heston or when he got K Markt to stop selling bullets.

But his dead-pan and fake naive questions were just brilliant the way they got his victims to make fools of themselves.

  52. Patrick

Yes this is a movement that has become an organised campaign. Surely that’s the whole point of it. You may disagree with their aims but they have every right indeed it makes good sense for these youngsters to ally themselves with voting campaigns and elected officials albeit mainly Democrats who may be able to legislatively catalyse the changes they want. Why should that be considered fake or being duped. Is that any different from the tea party movement aligning themselves with sympathetic Republican legislators and working with that party ?

  53. Michael Moore has as much credibility as Pete Moore.

Patrick has a mansion and a yacht.

  54. I sold my mansion and yacht…. may you never know catastrophic illness George

  55. I’n my case my Mansion was a nice single stone home with two fireplaces and my yacht was a top of the line ranger bass boat…..

  56. Back to the thread… for all those laughing at Pete for calling these little pawns commies…. can you explain to me why the little female pawn was wearing a Cuban Flag?

  57. I will hold them Personally responsible for that Display of a flag of poverty and tyranny if I can hold you personally responsible For the birthers, for those who called Obama a Kenyan and a cannibaL, those on ATW and in the White House said those things before, and who in some cases stilll say those things

I know I number of people who attended the anti-violence rallies, in New York City and Washington DC, and they are 10 times more patriotic than you are.

  58. It’s the FLAG of a Communist regime.

and no you can hold me responsible for the things I SAY and the Flags I fly.

    You want to measure Patriotism?

While you cheer those who rallied against the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution of the United States… people you know and our PROUD of trying to strike from existence the second most important piece of our founding document….

I celebrate the half dozen People that I know that took advantage of the sales being offered yesterday to celebrate the 2nd and purchased new firearms. They are the patriots.

Yesterday was the best day in gun sales this year….. that’s patriotism just as much as those practicing their 1st rights at the rally…..

  59. They didn’t rally against the Second Amendment.

You are completely confused and befuddled on every subject , especially guns

  60. I feel very sorry for David Hogg. First, he has to live through a horrific shooting and then, he gets used by the DNC in a very cynical get-out-the-vote effort.

What will happen to him when they tire of him? What ever happened to Cindy Sheehan? At least she was an adult.

  61. Did you know that the Children’s Crusades of 1212 ended with the children being loaded onto large ships and then sold into slavery?

  62. the rally was against the ownership of firearms Phantom…. that is a rally against the second amendment.

If you are going to support a rally and a cause maybe you should listen to what is they are actually saying….

  63. March 2018 DNC get-out-the-vote strategy:

    1. separate Trump supporters from Trump — Stormy Daniels, firing too many people (chaos), signed the Omnibus Bill

    2. motivate the Democrat base — March for Our Lives,

  64. I feel very sorry for David Hogg. First, he has to live through a horrific shooting

I think it might be hereditary, it seems to run in the family.

  65. The Left doesn’t give a hoot about the Constitution or the 2nd Amendment, Patrick.

Listen to Phantom. He doesn’t care. You give too much credit to the Left.

The MSM and the March are all about getting people to vote in November so they can regain the power they lost.

    That’s it. It’s simple.

  66. Be happy, Patrick!

Trump is doing a fantastic job from my point of view. I don’t care about Ann Coulter.

Trump is cleaning out corruption at the DOJ and FBI. He’s building up a strong military. He’s building back up our middle class. He’s exposing the propaganda of the MSM. He’s ensuring that the Constitution will be respected in our legislature.

He really is Making America Great Again. Be happy! It’s a wonderful time to be alive in America.

  67. Patrick – the Cuban flag was designed in 1849. It does not have any Communist insignia on it. A Parkland student can take consolation that whatever happened at their school at least they didn’t have you teaching them history.

  68. It was not a march calling for the eradication of the Second Amendment, to write otherwise is a fabrication.

  69. “for those who called Obama a Kenyan and a cannibaL,”

    lol.

well, I don’t know about Obama being a cannibal (I think that was an accusation about Podesta, not Obama and involved the DNC “spirit cooking” or something) but I’m thinking that Obama might have been born in Kenya – that is where is half-brother lives and was born…no?

  70. The Russians are coming! The Russians are coming!! My hair is on fire!!!

lol!! laughing at the Left, not with the Left!!

  71. “Patty- tell us what it was like to ride the short bus to school.”

ROFL. you such a funny boy!!! me laughing!! always so, so funny.

I’m Mahons, a proud Democrat and I say: “Russians are coming!! Russians are coming!!! where there is smoke there is fire!! “

  72. Oh, Patrick, one more thing awesome President Trump is doing:

he’s shutting down Globalism – America is a sovereign nation again – we don’t have to accept that Globalism is inevitable – that we have to be enslaved by a SupraNational body, that this is inevitable

be very happy and grateful about this.

  73. Patty

On this site, it’s you and your PA twin who seem to talk about Russia and “Russian collusion” 100 times more than all others combined

I don’t think That I have first brought it up even once,

  74. Patty

On this site, it’s you and your PA twin who seem to talk about Russia and “Russian collusion” 100 times more than all others combined

I don’t think That I have first brought it up even once,

  75. As we were saying –

    https://www.buzzfeed.com/maryanngeorgantopoulos/parkland-teens-organization?utm_term=.ac59zQApO#.ktxNgX4jP

Several large progressive organizations, donors, and a high-powered public relations firm are backing the March for Our Lives movement, which is quickly evolving from a student-run social media effort to end gun violence into one backed by some of the most influential activists in the country.

Everytown, Giffords, Move On, Women’s March LA, Planned Parenthood, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America …

Everytown for Gun Safety — bankrolled mostly by Michael Bloomberg — recently secured a $1 million donation from entrepreneur and philanthropist Eli Broad …

Democratic US Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a Broward County resident for nearly 30 years, told BuzzFeed News she has been in touch with students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas since the day after the shooting, helping them connect to state legislators and plan their trip to Tallahassee last week …

The students also traveled to DC this week — they posted selfies on Tuesday during their return flight — and met with a handful of Democratic leaders, including Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Bernie Sanders, US Rep. John Lewis, as well as Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan …

The American Federation of Teachers, which helped bus students and parents to Tallahassee multiple times last week, are now assisting with the March for Our Lives rally.

The authentic voice of youth my arse.

  76. And as we were saying –

After that, she says the goal is to carry that momentum until November — with some of the students already using the hashtag #VoteThemOut.

“We are also marching towards midterms,” she said, adding that the activists intend for gun control and student safety to be a major platform and key issue for voters in the midterm elections.

Patty and I saw what it’s about a mile off. I’m not even in the country and it’s obvious that this is about energising the Left, giving it a an emotional sugar rush, for the midterms.

  77. bankrolled mostly by Michael Bloomberg

Blimey, I was not aware Bloomberg was a pathological control freak..

    😏

It does not have any Communist insignia on it

It IS a communist insignia……. counselor

and is being worn in support of the communist regime that runs it…. the true brainwashing of the elitist Democrat the monied leftist…. they support communism they promote communist policies and philosophies but when they were being enlightened into their superior views they were never explained their origins…. these progressives.

  79. It is the Cuban national flag. Ronald Reagan held and waved it when he visited Dade County in 1980. It predates Castro.

  80. A Parkland student can take consolation that whatever happened at their school at least they didn’t have you teaching them history.

    Indeed!

Troll, your effort to smear a child here is pretty indecent. Please rethink.

  81. Why the insistence on David Hogg being a high school dropout?, (I think it’s referred to around four times above). Anything that I’ve read states that he’s a senior and expected to graduate this year.

Of course Hogg and Gonzalez and the other survivors are going to be dismissed by those who disagree with them as naive kids who are being exploited – they have nothing else to combat their movement with. The same kids who can join the military, get married as well as making other life affecting decisions. And of course the kids are going to agree with political groups who agree with their position, and vice versa.

Congratulations to these kids. There seems to be something different about this movement and it’s certainly caught the public’s attention.

Pat, you are aware that there are Cubans who are ant Castro abd consider the Cuban flag their national flag aren’t you?

    https://www.irishnews.com/news/worldnews/2016/12/02/news/veterans-of-failed-bay-of-pigs-invasion-join-hundreds-of-cuban-exiles-at-anti-castro-protest-in-miami-813924/

  82. Patrick

I don’t recommend that you visit Miami and try to tell the Cuban Americans that the Cuban flag is a communist symbol

You might not like their reaction

It is better to remain silent and have people think that you are a fool than to shoot your mouth off and remove all doubt

  83. “your effort to smear a child here is pretty indecent”

We see what you did there.

If you have issues with this form of child abuse – and it is child abuse, using this kid as a get-out-the-vote propaganda machine – you need to take it up with your Progressive Democrat friends.

  84. I think Pete and Patty are on to something here. Throughout this thread they have bravely exposed the dastardly intention of Democrat and left leaning politicians to support this youth gun control movement with the aim of winning their votes in forthcoming elections. It’s a shocking isn’t it. No wonder Patty and Pete are disgusted , we should all be. I mean who would ever think a political party would seek to win votes in an election !

  85. Anyone see the similarity of this propaganda (using children for gun control props) and the Palestinian propaganda?

Anyone actually care about the fact that these children should be in therapy and not on the national stage making fools of themselves?

  86. Patty

Anyone care for the fact that these youngsters are individuals with minds and voices of their own and the real abuse is to patronise them as dumb idiots being brainwashed by the left as You and Pete are doing here .

  87. Colm – this isn’t about saving lives. That would be a different story if it were. No one at this March for Our Lives mentions the fact that this shooter – and the disco shooter – were already in the FBI data base – and the FBI ignored the tips, the pleas, the requests to take these obviously dangerous actors off the street.

No one mentions the fact that this Broward County shooter was the direct result of failed Democrat Progressive policies in Broward County, a progressive project which sought to lower the amount of high school students going to jail by simply not arresting or stopping or dealing with problems – but by ignoring them. It’s called the Promise Project – look it up if you dare.

  88. Broward County’s Promise Program (not Promise – my mistake):

  89. Whatever their age, they are infiniely more mature and intelligent than several of our oldies hereabouts.

But this won’t be the first time American youth have led the way in forcing political change.

Well done. If they get some sane legislation on guns, I’ll applaud them; if they help get political change in Washington, I’ll doff my hat to them.

  90. Pete

They are an authentic voice of youth; who said that they should not have allies in this just cause?

    Noel

They have already let the way towards legislative successes in the large, important and southern state of Florida

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/powerpost/florida-gov-rick-scott-breaks-with-nra-to-sign-new-gun-regulation/2018/03/09/e5d1f02e-23b2-11e8-86f6-54bfff693d2b_story.html?utm_term=.92b9a2544d71

Without the activism and moral authority of the Florida students , the change in Florida law would never have happened

The new Florida law imposes a three-day waiting period for most purchases of long guns, raises the minimum age for buying those weapons to 21 and bans the possession of bump stocks, devices that can make semiautomatic weapons fire like fully automatic firearms. It does not address the demand of many Stoneman Douglas students for a ban on assault weapons.

The bill does make it easier for law enforcement and judges to remove guns from people considered a danger to themselves or others, and it establishes a program to arm some school personnel, along with hundreds of millions of dollars in new spending on school security and mental health treatment.

  91. Anyone see the similarity of this propaganda (using children for gun control props) and the Palestinian propaganda?

Associating them with Palestinians, that’s a clever propaganda ploy Patti.

It’s incredible that the FBI and Democratic poicies as opposed to some kid being able to get his hands on an arsenal are being blamed for mass shooting incidents.

Good luck to these young men & women.

  92. Phantom –

You said: “It was a rally for gun control, Pete”.

I said they are being used to front the Left’s midterm campaign.

    I was right.

  93. “It’s incredible that the FBI and Democratic poicies as opposed to some kid being able to get his hands on an arsenal are being blamed for mass shooting incidents.”

    How naive are you?

The FBI was warned 39 times about the shooter and they did nothing. NOTHING.

The Progressive policy to not arrest or detain high schoolers like this kid created a situation where this kid – despite multiple, multiple warnings (he threatened, threw chairs, cut up small animals in the kitchen etc.) nothing was done about him.

    Thanks Progressives!

  94. //The FBI was warned 39 times about the shooter and they did nothing. NOTHING. //

Patty, surely you mean NOTHING BURGER.

  95. I’m not naive at all Patti.

I think that the biggest element in creating this situation was the kid in question having access to a bloody arsenal of weapons.

  96. Patty

Who told you that the FBI’s bad performance was due to progressive policies. Was it Conservative Treefraud?

When anything bad happened during Obama Time, you said that it was Obama’s fault. Now this happens in year two of Trump Regime, and it’s not his fault.

Was it progressive policies that led to the cowardly performance by the Broward County FL police officers?

  97. “Associating them with Palestinians, that’s a clever propaganda ploy Patti.”

It’s not Patty’s, she cogged it.

  98. I agree with both Paul and Pete, which is no easy task. I say good luck to these youngsters taking it to the streets. But to think they’re not being used by the Dems for the midterms is naive.

  99. Why on earth shouldn’t the Democrats ally themselves with the aims of these youngsters. As I mentioned earlier on this thread what on earth is wrong with a political party responding to a grassroots campaign, or is that only acceptable when Republicans do it with, for example the tea party movement.

  100. Colm, it’s very smart for the Democrats to align themselves with millions of youngsters coming of age and getting ready to vote. But I thinks the kids are smart enough to see that the Dems are part of the problem too.

I saw that Paul McCartney was marching for John Lennon. Very powerful image.

  101. Charles

They are allying with who agree with them on their most important issue, and against the major party that is opposed to them, the party that takes millions from the NRA, the ( literal ) mortal enemy of these students.

The adults are cynical defeated and tired, the young are energized and unafraid.

  102. Riyadh is a fair distance from Yemen, where SA-Iran are on opposite sides of a war

The Saudi military is not the most competent in the world; I wouldn’t discount them setting a missile off in error

  103. “I saw that Paul McCartney was marching”

Nothing says “grassroots,” “American,” or “youth” like Paul McCartney.

  104. Except maybe Bono.

Bono definitely reads “American youth” and “grassroots” 🙂 🙂

  105. Pat,

Mark Chapman was a reference to Patty’s scoffing Paul McCartney remark.

Mark Chapman was the man who shot dead McCartney’s former band mate and friend John Lennon. Colm Murphy is an irrelevance to this discussion.

  106. Paul McCartney has long been a part of the life of New York and of the US.

He is one of us, as well being British, and his participation in the weekend’s march is entirely appropriate.

  107. // his participation in the weekend’s march is entirely appropriate.//

Yes, it was after all John, not Paul, who wrote “Happiness is a warm gun”.

  108. McCartney has been on the NY scene for decades and has been a strong supporter of the US in general and NYC in particular. Organizing benefits for our first responders. His participation is quite welcome.

  109. “His participation is quite welcome.”

Well, Paul McCartney is white, old, and irrelevant so it’s fitting that he was there.

Leaders of the Democratic Party in the US are also all white, old and irrelevant: Pelosi, Bernie Sanders, Feinstein, Chucky Schumer etc. etc.

  110. Patty

You as always are all over the place.

You lot hate the kids because they are ” stupid and manipulated ” and you hate the adults because they are ” white and old ” and I imagine that you hate the many black participants as well

No one is smart and independent, other than the Trump Cult.

  111. Patty supported the Tea Party demonstrations I believe even though nearly 100% of those protesters/complainers/moaners were ” white and old “

  112. “You as always are all over the place.”

Don’t blame me for your ancient, ossifying leadership.

The Democratic Party pretends to be “diverse” and “forward thinking” — in fact, your party is not diverse and it is stuck in the past.

  113. My party of choice doesn’t run on dividing people up into races, genders etc. – yours does

  114. Paul McCartney was not leading that demonstration, Patty.

The demonstration was led by the young, who you mock.

  115. Your party drums up support by dividing people into tribes –

There is another way – individuals – as in American individuals, united we stand but with individual rights. Not tribal identities.

  116. Yes, I am mocking.

I mock your tribal politics run by old white guys and girls.

I mock your anti-gun stance politics, run by people surrounded by guards with guns and gated homes,

I mock your pretend crocodile tears for “the children” while you mercilessly use Hogg, a teen who should be in therapy, not on a podium.

  117. Again, this movement is led by youth, white, black and latin.

    Pay attention.

Paul McCartney and Nancy Pelosi are not leading it.

  118. The person who pointed out race and age was Patty.
I would point out Paul McCartney is only 4 years older than Trump.
The attacks on high school kids, suggesting they need therapy, is bizarre, even by Patty’s standards.

  119. Paul McCartney is a self made billionaire, something that the Donald can never say.

  120. Mahons, your party runs on tribal division. Not mine. I am pointing out your hypocrisy.

And yes, the kids just experienced a lot of trauma.

I am pretty sure that being used by your cynical political party is ill advised.

  121. Phantom, your party is now run by a socialist and Bernie Sanders is a communist.

Whether or not Trump is a billionaire is irrelevant to me because my party doesn’t use the Marxist division of “have” and “have not” to divide and win votes – but your party does (Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders etc. )

As much as I love winding you guys up, I have to go. Tootles!

  122. No, you are dismissing people who protested based on their race, gender or age. And oddly attacking either their youth or their senior status.

  123. Patty

    Your errors are constant.

I haven’t voted Dem since forever, while your honey bunny Trump was not only voting for Dems but sending them money until very recent times.

And Sanders is no communist, not even close.

Is it a Republican thing to not know the meaning of words?

  124. Bernie is a New Deal social democrat, nothing more. His policies are moderate left.

  125. Even on things like health care, Sanders is no more ” radical ” than one Donald Trump has been advocated in the recent past

Donald Trump: Obamacare’s going to be repealed and replaced. Obamacare is a disaster if you look at what’s going on with premiums where they’re up 40, 50, 55 percent.

Scott Pelley: How do you fix it?

Donald Trump: There’s many different ways, by the way. Everybody’s got to be covered. This is an un-Republican thing for me to say because a lot of times they say, “No, no, the lower 25 percent that can’t afford private. But–”

    Scott Pelley: Universal health care.

Donald Trump: I am going to take care of everybody. I don’t care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody’s going to be taken care of much better than they’re taken care of now.

Scott Pelley: The uninsured person is going to be taken care of. How? How?

Donald Trump: They’re going to be taken care of. I would make a deal with existing hospitals to take care of people. And, you know what, if this is probably–

Scott Pelley: Make a deal? Who pays for it?

Donald Trump: —the government’s gonna pay for it. But we’re going to save so much money on the other side. But for the most it’s going to be a private plan and people are going to be able to go out and negotiate great plans with lots of different competition with lots of competitors with great companies and they can have their doctors, they can have plans, they can have everything.

  126. Even on things like health care, Sanders is no more ” radical ” than one Donald Trump has been advocated in the recent past

  127. Back to gun-confiscation mouthpiece David Hogg. Here he is interviewing a fellow student DURING the atrocity at Parkland and they are advocating gun control. This is DURING the shootings……. Their timings are a bit awry in that the video, as narrated by the anti-gun mouthpiece, is taken at 9.32am on 14th February as also stated by the interviewee who is an airhead spouting the anti-gun ‘bullet points’ when the shootings are supposedly taking place. And yet Police maintain that the suspect Nikolas Cruz arrived via an Uber ride at 2:19 p.m. and initiated his attack within 1 minute.

Nonetheless, the snowflakes in their ‘safe space’ were still calm enough to discuss gun rights, the NRA – and the interviewee speaks of the trauma (supposedly live) in the past tense.

    [video src="https://gopreload.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/David-Hogg-Interviewing-Students-in-hiding-4-hours-ahead-actual-of-shooting-2.mp4" /]

  128. Allan

These brave kids survived a massacre and you denigrate them as ” snowflakes ”

    Shame on you.

CRISIS ACTOR, EMMA GONZALEZ, who is acting in the role of Student Advocate for Gun Control is also a HOGG!

In fact, her and DAVID “Camera” HOGG are COUSINS:

EMMA’s mother is KATHERINE J. GONZALEZ and her maiden name is HOGG:

Here, we see the FAMILY connection between DAVID’s father, KEVIN HOGG and EMMA’s mother, KATHERINE J GONAZLEZ. They are SIBLINGS:

KATHERINE lives in TORRANCE, CA. and her FACEBOOK photos reveal many now familiar HOGGs.

Check the pic of them next to each other and look at the eyes and nose. What a cohencidence, 1 in 6,000,000 gazillion

  130. What is that salute David Hogg does at the end of his speech?

It’s a cross between a Nazi and Communist salute.

    He’s a strange one alright.

Bejazus, talk about slippery slopes! Sure what’s the world coming to at all?

  135. //I’m working on a thread at the minute when it’s finalised I’ll forward it on.//

    A whole thread? Well done.

A guy I know used to edit “Irish Camping and Caravan”. He used to not only write all the articles (under different names), but also all “readers'” letters and questions, etc. I think that’s pretty common in journalism.

This guy was a big Stones fan, and used to, say, write a letter complaining about litter on beaches signed by “Bill Whyman, Quietstone, Wicklow” etc.

That’s the fella I want to go to a party with!!

The guy was stoned most of the time. He once expressed disappointed at not getting letters from Irish tinkers, thought they’d be into Caravans and stuff.

Of course, we all know that David Norris is fond of camping around a bit.
