Never a truer word said, though it comes good in the end, justabout, with agonies along the way, but it’s finally over … Happy St Totteringham’s Day.

Congratulations to Man City fans, when they come to/sober up. You can’t begrudge them today after what the club has put’em through over the years.

Bad luck Manure (*snigger*)

Oh, and come on Bayern!

  1. Oh, and come on Bayern!

Why? Unlike Spurs, the Arse will gain nothing if Chelski lose next week. This seems mean-spirited Pete.

But I agree about the final outcome at the top. Fergie’s team are winning it with injury time left, then the sheiks score two. Priceless. Couldn’t have scripted it better myself.

  2. Peter –

    I can’t help it. I’m a Gooner. It’s in the DNA.

If Chelski “cough” “splutter” win it, then in my mind it never happened. If they lose it, then I’ll be hoping the Sperz lose their Champions League qualifier.

Supporting your team is only 50 per cent of being a fan. The other 50 per cent is hoping that your rivals come a cropper too. That’s just the way it is.

Agree. The last match I was at the Bridge was a 5pm start and Sperz had just lost at home. It was already a happy day before the 5 nil win over Blackburn that followed.

You’ll probably be disappointed. Bayern Munich were thrashed yesterday, losing 5 : 2 to Dortmund in the German Cup final. Their defence was all over the place, and they are now devastated and I don’t believe will recover by Saturday.

  5. Noel Cunningham –

I saw the highlights. The score was a thrashing in the end but it was a case of one or two key moments going Dortmund’s way, particularly just before half time. I suspect that Bayern found the German cup final a bit of a distraction and that their focus was always on next weekend.

Bayern have a home advantage but that won’t bother Chelsea. It’ll be a tough and tight game.
