FOUR PALESTINIAN TERRORISTS today murdered two Israeli civilians at the Nahal Oz fuel terminal near gaza, after infiltrating from Gaza.  The Jerusalem Post reports that IDF troops and emergency medical teams came under heavy gun and morter fire after arriving at the scene.

Nahal Oz supplies the Gaza strip with most of its fuel. It’s reported that the attacks were carried out after the latest delivery of fuel – funded by the European Union.

You do not pet mad dogs, you put them down. If the savages of Gaza cannot be civilised neighbours, Israel has no moral or legal obligation to treat with them.  It should, therefore, turn the tap off and deny those savages any fuel from Israeli soil. No fuel, no food, no water, no medicines, trade or access to jobs. Only when they are so desperate that they overthrow their demented regimes and stop raising their children to kill Jews, will Palestinians be ready for civil treatment. If Arab regimes are concerned for Palestinian welfare, let them make the supplies.

  1. The Palestianians are not mad dogs, they are human beings and your suggestion is a recipe for disaster. Whatever evils are done by Hamas or its ilk, there is no justification for the course of action you suggest.

  2. When they behave like human beings, Israel can treat them accordingly. In the meantime, as I said, Israel has no obligation for their wellbeing.

  3. But, Mahons, the attack by Hamas was intended to do exactly that which you want the Israelis not to do: to stop the supply of fuel to Gaza. The Israelis have every right NOT to repair the damage that ‘palestinians’ inflicted on their own supply chain on grounds of a health and safety risk assessment.

  4. A logical and reasonable course of action, but what would the Worlds Highest Moral Authority think of such a response? Would it, for example, request that the Palestinians cease their provocations in this matter? I doubt it.

If there is damage to the facilities then Health and Safety considerations are relevant and it would not be unreasonable for the Israelis to request that any repair work be undetaken by the Palestinians themselves.

  5. Allan: What might be its "right" may not be the right policy. Even if one looks at it purely from Israel’s own self-interest, handing Hamas a propoganda victory by further isolating Gaza would be self-defeating.

  6. It should, therefore, turn the tap off and deny those savages any fuel from Israeli soil. No fuel, no food, no water, no medicines, trade or access to jobs.

so much for the idea of nazi style collective punishment being so ridiculous.

  7. I say give them all the gas, only deliver it in the form of napalm from 30,000ft

  8. >>I say give them all the gas, only deliver it in the form of napalm<<

Troll, as Israel has already turned Gaza into a ghetto, why not just finish it off by inundating it with Zyklon B.

  9. Daytripper –

Where did I mention collective punishment? Incidentally, I don’t recall the Left talking of collective punishments, Nazi-style or otherwise, when South Africa was the subject a few decades ago. Back then a Cape orange on a supermarket shelf would give a Leftist the vapours. No, sporting and trade boycotts are just fine, it just depends who’s the boycotter and boycottee, eh?

I wonder what an Israeli academic would think?

No, I clearly don’t call for collective punishment. I call for collective ostracisation. The Palestinians have given up any reasonable claim to be treated humanely by Israel, so Israel should behave as if they do not exist. Let the Arabs supply them.

those are all forms of collective punishment. all used by the Nazis too.

No, I clearly don’t call for collective punishment.

no. thats exactly what you do. that said, it comes as no surprise that you wouldnt consider such measures as punishment. the SS, Wehrmacht and territorial governers probabaly didnt either.
