3. The article that Kateyo links to is about my home town. In fact I’ve spent a few nights this year on the street from where the NYT is reporting from and can confirm that after 11:00 it is horrible. I’m usually at a rock/ biker pub at the bottom of the road that can keep the violent chavs away but I have had to venture up the street to use cash machines and can confirm that the atmosphere isn’t pleasant.

   Is the picture from York? It looks like the Minster and the town is very prone to flooding.
