but a real conspiracy and the worst scandal in American history, and the tale is just beginning to unfold.

The Horowitz Inspector Generals Report into FISA abuse found 51 instances of Laws and Procedures violated to convince a FISA court to allow it spy on Carter Page and the Trump campaign during the 2016 election they manipulated documents, concealed crucial exonerating evidence, and used what it knew were outright false claims in the Steele Dossier.

The IG Report, in its own words, “found that FBI personnel fell far short of the requirement in FBI policy that they ensure that all factual statements in a FISA application are ‘scrupulously accurate.’” Specifically, “we identified multiple instances in which factual assertions relied upon in the first FISA application were inaccurate, incomplete, or unsupported by appropriate documentation, based upon information the FBI had in its possession at the time the application was filed.”

The FBI doesn’t make mistakes like this, they are THE premier Law Enforcement agency in the world. These weren’t lapses in knowledge of the Laws and Procedures this was in spite of them, done deliberately to lie to the court. They falsified evidence and used Russian disinformation to get a Wire on a Political Campaign for President.

They didn’t do this to “protect the country” they did this to cover up crimes they had already committed. Trump could not be allowed to win, if he did the crimes they committed covering up Hillary Clinton’s Espionage would all be exposed. Now the first Domino has fallen.

There are those that are in denial in the Press, in the halls of political power, and within the people we interact with everyday. Denial however is just that denial…. not reality. Reality is the Obama Administration falsified evidence before the most powerful court in the United States.

A FISA Warrant disband’s a persons Civil Rights without Due Process. The court is there to guarantee that the massive surveillance power of our government is not turned on an American UNLESS they a real and credible threat to National Security.

The IG report proves that the Obama Administration falsely used our surveillance apparatus not for National Security, but as a weapon against a political opponent.

Remember this was just the FIRST domino.

  1. As predicted, the allegations of political bias will quickly be jettisoned and the procedural aspect of a few individuals’ non professionalism wil be magnified.

Doesn’t matter, the House are still going to impeach.

P.S. good to see you back.

  2. Given his response one can only draw the conclusion that Patrick is mistaking Michael Horowitz with David Horowitz.

“The FBI doesn’t make mistakes like this, they are THE premier Law Enforcement agency in the world. These weren’t lapses in knowledge of the Laws and Procedures this was in spite of them, done deliberately to lie to the court. They falsified evidence and used Russian disinformation to get a Wire on a Political Campaign for President.”

Which was explicitly not the conclusion of the Inspector General’s report, who found that the FBI were justified in their investigation and showed no political bias.

The renewal of the surveillance of Page occurred after he left the Trump campaign, and primarily after the election. So the idea that it was a target of the Trump campaign is insane. The Horowitz report makes it clear that the initial surveillance application of Page, when he was still a Trump campaign staffer, had only minor issues. So the only surveillance application of Page that was made when he was still a Trump staffer is the surveillance application with the least issues identified by Horowitz. And the subsequent applications, which had larger issues, occurred after Page left the Trump campaign.

Horowitz also found that the most serious faults in the applications came because junior agents didn’t inform their superiors of new information. So are you suggesting that the Obama White House, in directing their campaign and vendetta against Trump, ignored the senior leadership of the FBI and went straight for the junior agents?

Again the major problems were in the renewal applications for surveillance, not the initial one. By the time the problematic parts of the surveillance of Page came around Peter Strzok was no longer a part of the investigating team.

The biggest problem with the “vendetta” argument, aside from its gross stupidity, is that it misses the bigger problem. The report highlights a series of problems in the FISA system itself. In reality, while there were some errors in the process, the system worked as it should have. In fact Patrick’s long standing opposition to it, that the Steele dossier was not independently verified, was described in the Horowitz report as “not unusual in the FISA context”.

“used what it knew were outright false claims in the Steele Dossier.”

You have repeated this lie time and time again. But there is no evidence to prove that the Steele Dossier included false claims.

  3. Horowitz concluded that the opening of the investigation was lawful and legitimate, that there was no improper “spying” on the Trump campaign and that the F.B.I. wasn’t part of some “deep state” conspiracy to overthrow the president.
How many Indictments Pat, you said at least 10 people are going down ?

Next fishing expedition Durham Report ? Indictments expected ?

Trumps time in Office number of arrests 34

    https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/03/25/muellers-russia-report-special-counsel-indictments-charges/3266050002/

Quit while your behind 0-34 😉

  4. Giuliani: “I believed that I needed Yovanovitch out of the way. She was going to make the investigations difficult for everybody.” He really needs a defense lawyer to tell him to stop.

In a normal country with a functioning rule of law, all of these people would be in jail, the president would be impeached and removed, and we would have a long period of introspection about how we reached this terrible place. Instead, the Republicans will take a victory lap.

  5. In other news, Mike Flynn is getting sentenced to prison.

Don’t think any other president has racked up this many felons on a campaign staff.

    Roger Stone
    Michael Cohen
    Paul Manafort
    Rick Gates
    George Papadopoulos

  6. “We’ll take care of it,” Trump says about North Korean nuclear program

This is also the man who, when told North Korea was about to test an ICBM, said: “It won’t happen.” Then it happened. Three times.

And across America, there are millions of people who, if you ask them why they feel safer with Trump as president, will tell you that this didn’t happen.

    Trump supporters are ignorant rubes.

  7. Trump is about to be impeached for betraying our country and violating his oath of office, so it is an excellent time to mount a defense of Carter Page. Nobody is less deserving of a defense than this weirdo. He is a strange creature, a serial liar, has had many interactions with Russians and walks away with unknown amounts of money. You disgrace yourself by attempting to defend this miscreant.

  8. and the spin is repeated…….

No Phantom Fusion GPS was hired in 2015 by Washington Free Beacon who ended their contract and the Steele Dossier wasn’t created till over 6 months later.

  9. Seamus your view is from the twilight zone.

These “mistakes” weren’t made by junior agents, there were no junior agents on the counter espionage team. It was the most senior and highest ranked officers on that investigation so your “Junior Officers” had a minimum of 10yrs experience.

The main piece was the Steele Dossier that they new to be completely fake.

  10. PVR

    Correct

But the Washington Free Beacon started the funding for ” opposition research ” that culminated in the Steele Dossier.

It seems unusual to me that the same investigation was funded first by a conservative publication and soon after by the DNC, but that’s exactly what happened.

  11. “The main piece was the Steele Dossier that they new to be completely fake.”

You keep saying that. There is no evidence that the dossier was false.

“These “mistakes” weren’t made by junior agents, there were no junior agents on the counter espionage team. It was the most senior and highest ranked officers on that investigation so your “Junior Officers” had a minimum of 10yrs experience.”

Ok junior doesn’t mean inexperienced. Junior means not senior. And in this case means that they had a more senior agent over viewing their work.

  12. do you disagree with the coordinated DNC/CNN/MSNBC/WAOPO/NYT position of any of this ?

There has been no evidence of a collusion it was proven by Mueller to never have happened, yet for 3 years those outlets all said the evidence was overwhelming.

For 3 years they said the Steele Dossier had nothing or minimal part in FISA, yet it was the key piece of “evidence”

For three years the DNC and the outlets you use for news and you yourself have demanded that Trump was guilty of crimes. None have been found, but a ton have been found committed against him.

You were just wrong, they were complicit.

  13. Seamus……

You keep saying that. There is no evidence that the dossier was false.

you are the most detailed researcher on this site (besides myself) I find it very sad that you still hold this pathetic belief. shame on you, you’re either being lazy or obstinate.

  14. There was plenty of evidence of collusion

The repeated Trumper meetings with Russians were all about that. Why else were they meeting with Russians constantly?

There was not enough evidence to prove criminal collusion – another, more limited, matter.

  15. Ok junior doesn’t mean inexperienced. Junior means not senior. And in this case means that they had a more senior agent over viewing their work.

and yet 51 violations of the Laws and procedures of evidence were just missed…….

  16. There AFAIK is no evidence that the Hillary/Romney/Obama/McCain campaigns had such contacts with Russians.

Yet your candidate had his people do many meetings, on three continents. Why? What was the purpose of those meetings.

  17. There has been no evidence of a collusion it was proven by Mueller to never have happened

Then why do you continuously feel the need to bring it up?

Horrowitz also found that there was no political motivation for the investigation. Do you agree with this finding?

Trump still tried to procure foreign assistance against a domestic political rival and will be voted by the House to be impeached. No quantity of attempted distraction will change that.

  18. “you are the most detailed researcher on this site (besides myself) I find it very sad that you still hold this pathetic belief. shame on you, you’re either being lazy or obstinate.”

The Steele Dossier has never been verified or proven. It has not, as far as I am aware, ever been proven as false.

“There has been no evidence of a collusion”

Not true. There was plenty of evidence of it. It found plenty of links between Trump Jr., Papadopoulos etc… and Russians for the purpose of influencing the election. What Mueller concluded was that said collusion was likely not criminal.

“it was proven by Mueller to never have happened”

    Not it wasn’t.

  19. Mahons 1:37pm That’s the one – says it All.
GOP lines are the chess equivalent of setting a trap. Good to heed the advice that says “Beware” 🤫

  20. The ace in the hole for Trump is that the Senate couldn’t care less what he did, they’re acquiting him right now, then heading for the bar.

  21. The Senate of course won’t vote for impeachment and this will be trumpeted as some sort of vindication.

    Watch this space.

  22. ” My crook buddies McConnell and Cruz who coordinated with my white house counsel voted to acquit me, so this is proof that I did nothing wrong ”

    Trump 3:16

  23. He’s already worried about the debates next year . He wants to cancel or have his own softball questions by someone like Hannity. Coward – noone does this . It’s part of the choice

  24. Before Trump was elected I would have fought the notion that the Republican Party would have not found him (or anyone) guilty of the impeachment counts. Since the election I am convinced that they would acquit him of almost anything even if they believed him guilty of high crimes.

  25. I think the idea that he is afraid of the debates is wishful thinking. He just doesn’t want to deal with them.

  26. What point are debates with someone like that

Last time he bragged out his dick, and the Trumper mob is still talking about what a bon mot that was.

  27. There’s only a year left in this term of office. An impeacement, however justified, will just turn the last year into a political circus. Trumpites will be able to say, probably are saying it already, that their guru wasn’t able to give his governing genius full rein because of Democrat harrassment.

The Dems should concentrate more on finding a good future president to take office in January 2021.

  28. I think that impeachment was an error that could wind up helping him.

His base does not care, the Senate will give an instant acquital without looking at any evidence, the people’s business is not getting done

  29. no crime, no collusion, no obstruction. no evidence of high crimes or misdemeanors….

Trumps only crime is he won.

The DNC/MSM have spent the last 3 years trying to undue the last Presidential Election. In the Name of Saving the Constitution and Democracy they must undo an election and remove a President before the People can VOTE again. LMAO

  30. You AFAIK have never commented on the many meetings with Russians

    Why the evasion?

    Why such highly unusual contacts?

  31. Trumps only crime is he won

Well, that and trying to procure a foreign agent’s assistance against a domestic political rival.

    ….for which he’ll be impeached.

  32. Multiple crimes including witness tampering on live TV, and collusion with Russian diplomats

But no worries, the base does not care

  33. what dis she witness ? She wasn’t on the call she is nothing but a disgruntled employee who got shitcanned…..

  34. You said that there was no collusion by Trumpers with Russia

So then, again, why did Trump campaign officials and other operatives meet with Russian diplomats and others during the campaign?

What was the reason for these meetings?

  35. Just a little info on the personal side.

I’ve had a bit of medical issue. I’m not going to go into details. I just wanted you to know that I may be in and out for a little while more out than in, but I’m still here and intending on remaining.

  36. Phantom several of those meetings were setups arranged by dnc operatives. The one in Trump tower definitely was the chic met with fusion gps both right before and right after the meeting.

Mueller proved there was no collusion…. why aren’t you satisfied that 19 dem lawyers digging into every aspect of it for two and half years found nothing, or is Mueller and his team all liars?

  37. When did Mueller say that there was no collusion\

Why did Trump have his people agree to meet with all these Russians. Didn’t he know that they were Russians?

  38. Phantom so your saying that the Mueller report found collusion…. really ? What were the charges ? What, Where, When, How, names, dates…..

The Special Prosecutor found nothing and brought no charges. Except you and another third of the country can’t accept facts you’re too wrapped up emotionally against the man.

It makes you less of the person than you are, and you’re smarter than that.

  39. If you were running for president, and various Russians started asking to meet with your staff, would you say go ahead and have the meetings

Busy people don’t meet for no reason

What was the purpose of those meetings

Do you think that they discussed the campaign

Do you think that they exchanged any data about the campaign, including opposition research for example

  40. Do you agree that if the Russians had any conversation with the Trump campaign about coordinating opposition research efforts against Clinton, or exchanging opposition research data, that this would represent collusion?

Maybe not a crime ( none of us are qualified to have an opinion on that ) but certainly we agree that this would be collusion?

  41. I believe and I know firsthand that those running campaigns meet with all sorts of people legitimate and illegitimate. It happens in every campaign even on the local level.

I also know without a doubt if the Special counsel could have produced even the slightest infraction to charge him with they would have. Remember clinton was all about an affair yet they still found 11 Felonies to charge him with.

There is just no there there Phantom, you have to accept it and move on to another target. The DNC has they went to obstruction and a phone call, and it’s still going to miss. It’s going to be up to the voters. No one else.

  42. I’ve just read Trump’s comments stating the Salem Witch Trials were a fairer process than the impeachment and the Mayor os Salem’s response.

OMFG, this ignorant imbecile really is the laughing stock of the world. I suspect history will not be kind to him.

  43. I am not speaking of any crime.

I am speaking of ( let’s say legal ) collusion on campaign matters

And you seem to be saying ” yes they did but so what, everyone does it “

  44. Paul

He is by far the least prepared and least temperamentally suited for president that we have ever seen

He’s a complete joke, a figure of fun from a Fellini or Woody Allen film.

Not fit to be a night manager at a Burger King in Milwaukee

  45. Pat doesn’t the hospital you go to have free WiFi the one I spent the last 6 weeks in does and it’s in a small town so I even got free parking

  46. Clinton was charged with two articles of impeachment. Frankly, I felt he was guilty on both. Neither rose to the level of Trump’s misdeeds. I think Trump should be found guilty by the Senate, but I know he won’t be due to the pure numbers.
