A cabal of bloated Jews playing Monopoly on the backs of humanity beneath the all-seeing-eye. Some praise it, some decry it. Some call it moving and wonderful, some claim it’s anti-semitic. I prefer the work of the Victorian bricklayer who provided the canvass. Someone painted this on a wall in London. In the end it had to come down, but should it have done so?

  1. Are they Jews? Only one of them has glasses 🙂

The slogan on the left has some truth in it. Millions of people lost thousands in the last crash; and thousands of people (from all backgrounds) gained millions.

The gap is widening as they say, and all that at a time of unprecedented prosperity.

The markets are currently overinflated again, and you can be sure that a similar elite group are going to benefit from the next collapse.

  2. I don’t think this mural should be painted over based on it being offensive alone. I’ve seen examples of art that could be deemed more offensive in galleries.

  3. Who are the figures represented?

    Millions of people lost thousands in the last crash;

Yes and there were many villains in that, including many common people who bought houses for speculative purposes, and in the US the GW Bush / Clinton / Gingrich moves to deregulate the financial markets, bad actions that have been forgotten, as Trump and a Republican Congress have moved again to deregulate financial markets.

The markets are currently overinflated again, and you can be sure that a similar elite group are going to benefit from the next collapse.

What elite group do you think benefited from the last collapse. Those fat cats who were heavily invested in the stock of say AIG, Bear Stearns or Citigroup lost 95% or more of their investment. The critics of the ( wise ) bailouts tend to be completely unaware of that little fact.

  4. Art should be relegated to art museums not displayed on the walls of public buildings. In a sense this is simply anti-Semitic graffiti.

  5. What elite group do you think benefited from the last collapse

    The Jew, George Soros.

  6. I am possibly the closest person on ATW to being a Jew.

And I can’t see any problem with the art work.

But thanks for taking offence on my behalf anyway.

    It’s very righteous of you.

    😏

  7. This sure looks like bigotry of the highest order on the part of the artist.

It could be. Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the Labour Party and possibly the next Prime Minister, liked it. He argued that it should stay up.

Berger Asks Corbyn to Explain Comment Defending Anti-Semitic Mural

It’s no surprise. Corbyn presides over what his supporters have turned into a strongly anti-semitic party. Anti-semitism is a daily fact in Corbyn’s Labour. Anti-semites flourish in it. Jews are routinely insulted and harassed by Corbyn’s people.

  8. But, but there is no anti-Semitism within the Labour party.

I know this because Shami Chakrabati, sold her soul wrote a report staying there “is no anti-Semitism” in the Labour party.

And she was awarded a peerage for life to prove it.

  9. The piece is very well painted, and accurate, whether they are jews or not i don’t know
could as well be rich global elitists . The top 1 percent now owns 50.1 percent of the world’s wealth, up from 45.5 percent in 2001. Staggering inequality.

  10. The piece is very well painted

It’s hideous. The subject aside, as a piece of art it’s truly terrible. Its admirers didn’t see this because beauty is conservative.

    Jude.

How many of those 1% are Jews?.

At this point, I would guess and estimate it to be quite a significant number.

  12. Anti-semitism is a daily fact in Corbyn’s Labour. Anti-semites flourish in it. Jews are routinely insulted and harassed by Corbyn’s people.

Yes indeed. Anti-semitism is tolerated, if not encouraged, by many of the Momentum brigade. But “Transphobism” will always be attacked. Anyone who does not support the Trans agenda 100% is villified. This now includes a group of women currently bringing a legal action against the party for its decision to allow “self-identifying” women (i.e. biological men) onto women-only shortlists. This is the newest front in the culture wars.

  13. The cult of Corbyn is very weird. He’s been caught several times in a whiff of anti semitizm but every time wiggles out of it. Even if he grew a little moustache and did daily fingernail inspection the true bElievers would call it a Tory plot and believe even harder. Weird.
