What can one say about the BBC which, unfortunately, hasn’t been said, many times, before?

They just get over the glorification and all the other sanctimonious bullshit spread around for over ten days after the death of one celebrity terrorist;, and now we have to listen to SEVEN mentions on national news bulletins, three ‘I remember meeting him, and he was just a lovable rogue’ clips; then a prolonged bit about how the Police, whilst attempting to extradite this amoral, vicious criminal, were so stupid they didn’t even know that Portuguese is the language of Brazil.

Oh how we larfed!

  1. It’s weird how Ronnie Biggs died just before a BBC drama about the Great Train Robbery and Nelson Mandela died just as the biopic of his life was released.

Surely someone can make a film about Piers Morgan soon.

  2. Mike is pissed since Mandela screwed up his sweet deal in SA.

Hi from Boston. Where it was colder than a witch’s tit last night.

Ah! the company you keep Phantom..
You have to admit that an insurance man who fondles wacky wicca women has to be seriously weird…..

  4. All in the name of diversity, Agit

Its very interesting how the weather is significantly different when you travel a short distance. NY was a lot less cold than Boston was. They’re still clearing the snow by my hotel in town.

  5. Phantom,
You may remember that last year the UK had (by our standards)a long and somewhat severe winter. So far this doesn’t seem to be happening this year, more wet than wintry. I much prefer it colder and snowier.
I feel for the elderly and those who have to go to work, but a good cold winter with plenty of snow is great.

If you want a cold snowy winter but still be in the UK you could do worse than to move up to Aberdeen for a few months. I’m sure a certain ATW regular who lives there will make you very welcome 😉

  7. I love snow, and always did. It is great when Metropolis is shut down by a massive beautiful snowstorm, which happens once in a while. Lets you know who’s in charge.

Now, to log off and going to my meeting in Boston.

  8. Trollio,
A great clip. Chevy Chase ranks along with Dan Ackroyd and Leslie Nielsen as great comic talents. Oh yeah, not forgetting Richard Prior, Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks!

They do say that blood on snow looks very dramatic..

  10. ot I know but vaguely relative to Allan and Aberdeen.
Israel is exploiting vast offshore undersea gas reserves..

Which little Hungary would like to be a sales rep for in Europe..

Hungary is looking to Israel and its newfound natural gas to help it shake its dependency on Russian energy, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Péter Szijjártó told The Jerusalem Post in an exclusive interview in Tel Aviv on Friday, following a two-day visit

and this about what is a family…

The [European Union’s] economic crisis is caused by a crisis of values, which is more serious,” he said. “In Europe if you say you are proud to be Christians, it is not the mainstream. When you speak about family, they tell you have to say ‘families,’ because there is more than one type of family. We say that there should be be a husband who is a man and wife who is a woman and children.”

  11. On South Africa Mike can be an old Boer….

It’s a nice line, but I doubt Mr Cunningham would appreciate it. As far as I know many white South Africans found the Boers rude and arrogant.
    Nothing like Mike…

Agit – those are not the sort of sites that you should be visiting. They tend to produce facts which upset everything that you have been told to believe. Did you know that Murdoch and the Rotties own an oil company which is drilling in the Golan Heights – illegally?

  13. Allan,
Why should they upset what I believe?
    I think it’s pretty interesting.
Can you supply the link re Richard Murdoch?
It wouldn’t bother me or many others if they drill in the Golan. I remember after the Six Day War the Israelis were drilling oil out of the Sinai at Abu Rudeis
(my big sister worked there for a while)
    http://www.esra-magazine.com/blog/post/oil–past-present

They handed it back to Egypt in 1975.
What’s to say they wouldn’t give back a Golani oil field in exchange for peace?

  14. http://www.globalresearch.ca/srael-grants-first-golan-heights-oil-drilling-license-to-dick-cheney-linked-company/5347779

Israel has granted a U.S. company the first license to explore for oil and gas in the occupied Golan Heights, John Reed of the Financial Times reports.

A local subsidiary of the New York-listed company Genie Energy — which is advised by former vice president Dick Cheney and whose shareholders include Jacob Rothschild and Rupert Murdoch — will now have exclusive rights to a 153-square mile radius in the southern part of the Golan Heights.

The point here is that the current government of Syria is not compliant, and should be replaced noting the warmongering against Syria and Assad by Murdoch’s publications.

    You got me there Allan.
