A convicted IRA bomber has named four men he says were responsible for the 1974 Birmingham pub bombings.

At inquests into the deaths of the 21 victims, “Witness O” named the men responsible as Seamus McLoughlin, Mick Murray, Michael Hayes and James Gavin.

He said he had been given permission to reveal the names by the current head of the IRA in Dublin.

45 years after Irish republicans deliberately bombed two Birmingham pubs, murdering 21 people, and there’s an inquest. We know these names. They’ve come out previously. Three of them are in Hell and nothing will happen to the one evil bastard who sadly lives. Nothing will happen because the authorities long ago abandoned all decency and any sense of justice. They want the victims forgotten and the bereaved to stop being awkward. So the inquest will say that 21 people were unlawfully killed and that will be that.

  1. I suppose it’s at least “official” now.

Would be more impressed if they named the Omagh and Warrington bombers.

  3. “He said he had been given permission to reveal the names by the current head of the IRA in Dublin.” Who did he get permission from? This needs investigation.
